The dryer was screaming and the washer wasn't draining so I got quotes from different companies using the Yelp quote feature but I knew there was a company I've used before so I hunted them down and sent a request to them as well. That company was Elite. They responded to my quote request quickly and spoke with me about what I needed help with. We got scheduled quickly and then Steve Sr. came by in our scheduled window to help me out. Steve was great! Friendly, professional, enjoyed saying hi to my very enthusiastic dog and kept me informed of all the repairs my machines needed along the way. My machines are up and running like new only about an hour and a half since he arrived. Highly recommend these folks, they're my go to for appliance repair.

There is a lot to be said for a company who takes responsibility for their actions, so I appreciate that. The igniter went out on our oven and we called Steve's. Ash came out and replaced the igniter. A short time later, the oven would not heat again. We were still under warranty, so Ash came out again and said it was a faulty igniter and replaced it again. After that, the oven seemed to be working, but then the door would blow open we smelled gas. We called the gas company and he knew immediately it was a "misaligned igniter". We were informed it was extremely dangerous and the gas was turned off. We called Steve's once again and were told we would need to pay again as this was a "new" issue. It was like pulling teeth to get them to come out again so we had another company come out and they discovered the igniter was installed incorrectly-flipped around so the actual igniter piece was to far away from the burner to ignite properly. (Because it was incorrect, it only had one screw holding it on when there were holes for two screws, but in this incorrect position, the holes didn't line up. So the tech didn't recognize that something was wrong and only put one screw!) The gas would build up in the oven and then eventually reach the threshold to ignite and explode and blow the door open and release gas into the house!! It was beyond a novice mistake on the part of Steve's that could have been disastrous for my family. If I could give negative stars, I would.

I called Luis to replace a burned out oven element in a rental property where I could not be…read morepresent. This is a very simple repair. Luis charged $65 just to come out to the property for "diagnostic", and then an additional $130 for replacing the burned-out element. He demanded payment immediately either in cash or Zelle. When he came to replace the element, I was not near my computer to send him the $130 immediately, and I promised to send him his money as soon as I got home in two hours. That was not good enough for him, so he removed the new element from the oven and left. When he came back the next day, I made sure to be home so I could Zelle him his money after he reinserted the oven element. I asked him three times to send me an invoice itemizing parts and labor. He ignored me three times. I cannot help thinking that he refused to itemize parts and labor because he is overcharging either for parts or labor or both. Why the secrecy? The oven element costs about $30 retail on Amazon which means that he is charging about $160 to pick up the part and install it. The installation takes about three minutes! In general, his attitude was arrogant and unfriendly. Not the kind of customer service I expect.
