Do they have omakase and if so, how much is it?

    Do they have fresh wasabi?

Very fresh . They don't serve it to you right away atleast not when I came on the second day of official opening. But it's so fresh and yummy

Does the $150 per person omakase session include tax and tip?

No. $150 is before tax and tip.

My friend was visiting from out of town and we decided to try AJI for omakase. The co owner…read moreintroduced each dish and the atmosphere was relaxed. Even though omakase can feel intimidating or uptight, it felt comfortable. Most of the dishes had a hint of lemon which I'm not a fan of, but I understand it helps balance the fishiness for others. When there were a few pieces without lemon, just the fish itself, I was blown away. The fatty tuna with caviar and uni tasted like a million bucks. The dessert was also incredible sooo rich and full of flavor. Overall, I highly recommend AJI and would definitely come back again.

The quality of the fish itself was top notch. The vibes of the room were great the whole evening, everyone there seemed to be thoroughly enjoying the food and the experience. Staff was friendly and very knowledgeable - the chef happily answered multiple questions about his knife selection, the sushi itself, and more. My partner has a gluten intolerance and they were perfectly accommodating, only switching out one piece of sushi entirely for another and modifying one more. The primary soy sauce they use is already gluten free, so I'd highly suggest this place if gluten is an issue for you. The cost was very fair for the quality of the experience. The full omakase course for two people, plus two cocktails each and a 25% tip ended up around $525. With no tip and no drinks it would've been closer to $300, but the service was worth the tip and the drinks were also very good and not expensive given their quality. We also both felt reasonably full afterwards, which is saying something for a higher end sushi spot. If I had to pick an area for improvement, the dessert (a (a special ice cream with a few interesting toppings) was our least favorite part of the meal, though it wasn't bad. Just didn't blow us away. But I don't go to an omakase spot expecting mind-blowing desserts anyways, so it really didn't detract from the night at all. Would highly, highly recommend giving AJI a try, especially for birthdays or other special occasions (I won't spoil everything, but they do a great job of making it feel special). They also are happy to let you take all the pictures and videos you want, even moving moving things closer to you as they're prepared to give you a better view if they notice you're filming. Just very accommodating and nice people who deserve all the business they get. 5/5 easily.

I was pretty disappointed with Itoko unfortunately. We came in on a Saturday around 1:30. Our…read moreservice was pretty terrible right off the bat. The hostess was not friendly or helpful when we had questions about the brunch / current menu being served. Once we were seated it took a long time for a server to come over and greet us. Our server was very friendly and nice but once we ordered she never came to check on us again after our food came. We had to flag down other servers when we needed something and had to get up to ask a bar tender for a to go box. The food was just okay in my opinion. The mushroom salad was described as having roasted squash on it but when it came out it was deep fried and the tiniest slivers of squash. My salmon avocado hand roll was good and was bigger than expected but had no avocado on it. Like I said we were here during brunch, which I would not recommend based on my experience. I'm hopeful the experience may be better during the dinner hour.

The service was consistently excellent because of her. Unfortunately, this most recent visit was very different. Our waitress, Melanie, was incredibly rude to my husband and had a noticeably unpleasant attitude throughout our time there. We felt rushed to order, like she was annoyed we were even there. At one point, my husband was ordering an Old Fashioned and was deciding which alcohol he wanted. Instead of being helpful, she responded "house alcohol" in a loud, irritated tone--so loud that the couple next to us looked over. It was honestly embarrassing. It was really disappointing because the food, as always, was excellent, but the service this time completely took away from the experience. I hope this feedback is taken seriously, as we've enjoyed this restaurant in the past and would like to continue coming back--but better service is essential.
