I no longer live in Chicago, but I make it back to Juno every year. I have not found a better sushi place yet or a better deal. How Chef Park can do both better is beyond me, but I'm glad he does! We came with a group of 6 and our waitress was lovely and attentive. The food is consistently fresh and delicious. I don't think the tasting menu changes much, and I'm happy about that! I will keep coming back for the exact same meal every time!

Wow. Wow. Wow. An excellent experience thank you to our server and the chefs for such a special night. We did the omakase experience and every thing was amazing. The vibes were chill and perfect for a romantic night.

Great dinner experience at Juno. The exterior is unassuming and looks more like a neighborhood joint. Going inside, the ambiance is lively and the restaurant was pretty full on a weekday night. Service was attentive and very helpful with recommendations. Cocktails are all very creative and centered around whiskey and Japanese flavors. The food menu is more traditional and only really has nigiri and small rolls (no maki). The fish were all fresh although I thought the portions were a little skimpy. We each ordered mains and ended up ordering more food because it wasn't enough. Overall Juno is a bit on the pricier side

I did an online takeout order from them on a Friday night. The promised time was about an hour wait, which I thought was a little too long, especially when I arrived it didn't seem that busy for it to take that long. I did arrive a lot sooner than my promised time, hoping it would be close to be completed but still had to wait some time. They invited me to sit at the bar while I waited and offered me a drink and also gave me a glass of water. Outstanding top notch customer service. I ordered their Maki Combo. It came with their Tako Maguro, Ceviche and Sake Yaki. They were all delicious. My favorite was their Ceviche, then the Tako Maguro. Ceviche came with tuna, white fish and shrimp, spicy mayo and pineapple salsa. You get a nice fusion of tropical with sushi. Definitely a great combination. The Tako Maguro came with spicy octopus, and spicy tuna. It was definitely spicy, but a good spicy. And the Sake Yaki came with grilled salmon and almond. I also ordered a Miso Soup, but only because they would let me pay with a credit card unless it was $50 or more. The Maki Combo was $48. Was not a big fan of their credit card limit. It's definitely on the pricier side for what you get. The rolls are tiny. They're like bite size versions of standard making rolls. But these tiny little suckers are full of flavor. The quality and attention to detail is what you're paying for. While this isn't an everyday type of sushi place, I can definitely see myself returning.

If you're looking for an experience very similar to Japan this is it. My friends coworker suggested this place and as I drove through Lincoln Park I got a little scared thinking maybe this girl just didn't know good sushi. I was wrong this place was awesome and for a Thursday should have been way more busy! The fish was fresh, the flavor combinations delicious and not too crazy, and honestly the ambiance is very similar to a sushi restaurant in Japan. Not over done, just nice. The edamame, uni shooter, chefs nigiri and the Queen are a must! So so good and a lot left to explore on the menu.

The food is awesome. Awesome. Awesome. The service is so good. Helen was our server & so great! We went on a Sunday for our 29th anniversary. No problemo with a table, but would imagine weekends are crowd scene. Ambiance is really chill & hip.

I've been on a mission to find the best sushi in Chicago and finally got to pay a visit to Juno. Not only is this some of the best, but it might be my favorite sushi I've ever tried! I was able to snag a walk-in table and it was already getting busy around 5pm. The decor and vibe are elegant and upscale without feeling stuffy. The staff was super friendly and professional, providing me with thorough recommendations of menu favorites. I ordered the Crisp Sake maki, Juno Queen, and smoked salmon. All were absolutely phenomenal- they boasted inventive flavors while letting the flavors of the fish shine through. The salmon was so fresh that it tasted buttery. The crisp sake roll was particularly notable- the seared salmon went so well with the hint of scallion and crispy mashed potato tempura inside. Sweet unagi and unagi truffle sauce rounded out the dish perfectly. The Juno Queen was also stellar- tender salmon enveloped a super creamy garlic-scallop filling with crunch on top. The smoked salmon was presented in a glass dome that, when lifted, released a delicate smoke revealing the dish. I enjoyed how refreshing the yuzu tasted in combination with the explosion of juicy roe. It's definitely hard to find a la carte sushi of this quality. I am so looking forward to returning- Juno is well worth going out of your way to visit!

We were there with our adult children celebrating our anniversary. We had the Omakase experience and thought everything was amazing. The food was delicious, the service was superb. The pacing was relaxed and the ambience felt cozy and we were seated far enough away from the other patrons that it almost felt private. This is an expensive outing but it was one of the best meals we have had. You can find Omakase for more and for less money. We enjoyed everything and had a wonderful night.

I would go to 312 Fish Market, Takeya, Yume or even Sushi Suite so I get fresher fish for the same price.

Do they have omakase and if so, how much is it?

    Do they have fresh wasabi?

Very fresh . They don't serve it to you right away atleast not when I came on the second day of official opening. But it's so fresh and yummy

Does the $150 per person omakase session include tax and tip?

No. $150 is before tax and tip.

Candidly it wasn't on my to-do, but the restaurant happened to be on my route back to my hotel and I hadn't had dinner yet. I walked into the restaurant, and there was a spot open right at the bar waiting for me. I think it was meant to be. Loved the vibe of the restaurant, which was casual but trendy. Best part of all was the music. My ears perked up when I heard Hieroglyphics - The Who... A Plus Remix. Instantly felt "at home" with the underground, old school hip hop. Compliments to their curated Pandora playlist. I ordered the the spicy scallop roll, super san roll, and sawara (Spanish mackerel) nigiri. The spicy scallop roll was my favorite. The super san roll was a mix of their toro with varying fattiness. I appreciated that you could order half rolls at Sushi-San, which came out to 5 pieces instead of 10. This was more than enough food for me. The sawara was buttery and fresh. If you don't like the "fishiness" of saba, you'll enjoy sawara. Lastly, overall customer service was great. The food came out incredibly fast. The bartender who assisted me was awesome. He was attentive and personable.

I came with a friend for lunch during the week and they have a somewhat decent lunch special (for today's standards when factoring the cost of living and inflation). We took advantage of that and ordered the 3 combo platter per person so we got 6 total items since there was two of us. The highlights for us were three yellowtail yuzu sushi as well as the salmon rice bowl. The miso soup that came out first wasn't that great. It was overly salty. My friend who is from Japan that I ate with said this place was ok for American standards but not at all great compared to anything in Japan lol.

It clearly is for all their locations. Unfortunately, here at Chinatown's location, when they attempted to scan the card, the staff said it does not work and only works at the Printer's Row location. I ended up calling the Printer's Row location and had the team talk to the manager at the Chinatown location, and the manager at the Chinatown location kept their stance that it does not work, stating Printer's Row location does not know why the gift card does not work at the Chinatown location, and will not make any exceptions to accepting the gift card. Thankfully at the Printer's Row location, they are stating it's due to their system being new as they are a new location, and reason why the gift card is not working at all the locations yet which they are now working on to fix so it does not happen to any other customer moving forward. I just wish the Chinatown location showed some compassion to address the issue and still accommodate the inconvenience instead of us having to go back to the Printer's Row location to use the gift card Price: Approximately $20, not including tip for 2 people. There are lunch specials! Ambience: Indoor Seating Overall: Worst experience, especially to follow up my birthday celebration

My only critique is the pacing. Since the chef already had the fish sliced and prepped, I expected a smoother flow, but the meal took about an hour and a half for 14 pieces of sushi. The taki yoki fritters weren't bad either. We saw people getting omakase, so we ordered a yummy looking piece they were receiving. It was just okay (chutoro truffle). The nigiri was also okay. The tuna piece was the only I really loved. The fish quality wasn't as high as I was expecting. The sushi was decent. A little too much truffle in the spicy blue fin tuna and a little too vegetable forward in the hamachi serrano. All in all, the atmosphere and amazing service pushed this up to a 4 for me.
