Underrated somewhat given that its hidden behind the Bader Centre. Really nice to sit outside since its by the water. Ordered the Warm Cheddar and Bacon sandwich and it was quite good. The highlight for me was actually the bread they used. Not sure what kind it was but it was a nice mix of being rigid enough to hold the toppings inside as well as being soft to the chew. Difficult to explain really but it was nice bread. Don't think many come for the food per se but more for the view, environment and vibe which is unique in Kingston. I like this place a lot and its an escape from all the restaurants on Princess.

A really cute & cozy café right beside the Isabel Bader Centre for the Performing Arts and inside the Tett Centre! I only got a chance to try their cappuccino, but I know they are also famous for their sqaush soup and sandwiches. They have a great selection of desserts to pick from as well, including cakes and tarts. The best part of this café has to be its ambience! The seating space inside is so beautifully decorated and they have an outdoor patio with a direct view of the water that is absolutely breathtaking. As an added bonus, they sell some cards and artwork from local artists inside the cafe. Keep in mind that laptops are not allowed inside the cafe from 11-2 or when at maximum capacity.

Recently visited the cafe in Kingston and has such a serene location that you can sit for hours and chat with your friends. The view from this cafe is really awesome. They have some really good items on their menu to choose from . Excellent coffee . Really enjoyed everything .

Delicious sandwiches and salads!

What a GREAT find!!! We visited the Canadian Thousand Islands over Labor Day, as a get-away for us from Rochester, NY and our family member visiting from Toronto. This was a GREAT location to meet-up, due in part because of the large parking lot (parking is a premium in Kingston). And then, the very handsome, VERY tasty menu -- all reasonably priced. And wonderfully protocoled, to boot -- masks, sanitizer, distanced, contact-free, plexiglass ... the works! The view, though!!! The waterfront dining and the VIEW!!! Everything about this cafe was just fantastic, from start to finish! Wish we could have dined here more often during our visit. Thank you, Yelp, for guiding us here!

Roasted squash (vegetarian- contains cheese) sandwich - delicious and hearty

Amazing view, amazing vibe, amazing FOOD bcuz that's what we're all about, us Yelpers amiright?!? The menu is simple and rotating week to week; it's a one pager with the usual soup, salad, and sandwich options. There is one breakfast sandwich option too. I had the best roasted squash sandwich (vegetarian) hands down, on focaccia bread for lunch today, overlooking the lake, just bliss... I normally don't opt for sandwiches, I prefer bowls or soups, etc, but the focaccia bread here is absolutely phenomenal--thick, chewy, and lightly salted. The hummus and feta cheese smear combo within the sandwich was also remarkable. There's a variety of meat sandwiches as well, flavours include organic chicken, beef, and pork belly. The sandwiches are $10+ a piece, which is pricey, but I promise you that one sandwich is huge and plenty. If not you can add a soup or salad for up to $16 total. The pastries here look yummy as well - a perfect breakfast/brunch and lunch spot. Unfortunately they only open until 6pm, so come early! This is a pay-at-the-front situation, so very casual. There's an outdoor seating area too which I image would be gorgeous during the warmer months.

Hello

This place is beauty. Best view a cafe can offer in Kingston ON. Food is also amazing. It's also inside beautifully designed Tett Centre for learning. It's kind of hidden and I WISH it was kept as a secret because the damn breakfast sandwich is always sold out almost every single time. Sigh!

I love this place!!! Perfect place to enjoy a Sunday brunch and soak up the sun! Food: 4/5 - we got there at 11:30am on a Sunday and unfortunately their breakfast items were sold out. I got there buttermilk biscuit instead (2.50) which was good. Ask for them to heat it up a little! Their iced ginger honey tea is sooo refreshing! Highly recommend if you love the flavour of ginger drinks. Service: 5/5 - friendly! Atmosphere: 5/5 - perfect location. Beautiful lakeside view! Peaceful and quiet. Cute decors inside. Overall a hidden gem in Kingston!

Chez Piggy burst on to the Kingston scene and really kicked off fine dining with a modern…read moresensibility. I haven't been there for years, so this was a nice trip down nostalgia lane. The place is open and bright wherever you sit, whether on the outdoor patio, downstairs by the bar, or upstairs. Service was excellent. My reservation was smoothly handled, and my server took good care of me. I got offeres some bread and butter after I ordered, which was really a nice surprise. The offered breads were seeded, ollve, and rustic style. All delicious, especially with the sweet butter. For the main meal, I got a half dozen oysters, an order of cha gio and their Ahi Dragon Noodle Salad. The cha gio were crispy, not greasy, sweet and savoury. The oysters were super fresh, sweet and a good size. Along with the usual condiments, they included pickled red onion, which is the first time I've ever had this. I really enjoyed the acidic sweet bite enhancing the sweetness of the oysters. The Ahi Dragon Noodle Salad had microgreens, red cabbage, red and green and yellow sweet pepper, red chili pepper, edamame, coriander, green onions, and fried parsnip chips. The Ahi was charred on the outside, fresh and meaty. I appreciate that the sesame oil, soy sauce and hint of chili on the perfectly chewy noodles was separate from the veggies. The vegetables had a very clean flavour, but I would have liked something more, maybe a touch of citrus. A glass of good wine rounded out the whole experience. I was way too full at the end of the meal to even contemplate dessert. All in all, a great meal, and I would return any time.

They have absolutely 100% scrumptious bread! And baked goodies. I love their dinner buns. They are made in this pull-a-part style and absolutely delicious to accompany soup, or toasted with butter, or, Pb&J, or cheese. Almost anything really, you can't go wrong. I was in Kingston recently and really wanted those dinner buns, unfortunately they didn't have them. Not on Sunday, not on Monday. I settled for their mini olive and rosemary dinner rolls. They were good too. Service here is pretty on point. There was a question I had asked the lady behind the counter and she came out from behind the counter to help answer any questions I had and serve me. She was really awesome! They have a catering menu, a cafe for brunch, they have fresh breads available and they do specialty cakes. They are totally the real deal. AND they sell Neal Brothers' cheese puffs. Havent been able to find these bad boys anywhere. They discontinued them in grocery retailers and health food stores don't seem to carry them. I'm in Toronto and havent been able to find them for a couple of years. They are a pretty penny, yet worth it for the sheer pleasure. Their store front is spacious and inviting. Certainly the place to be, everyone seemed to be walking in when I went. It is very well known. They can for sure accomodate a large amount of people. I would most definitely revisit when Im in the city next.

The food is decent, but the best part of the meal was definitely the oysters we had at the beginning. The dessert we ordered came with cake and ice cream, but the two components were better eaten separately than together. The service was quite good; when we had turned off the table light and set it aside to make room for the plates, servers came by three separate times to inquire about if the one we had needed to be replaced. I wouldn't go out of my way to dine here again, but I would consider visiting if someone else wanted to check it out.

This was my favourite restaurant and dinner of my birthday trip to Kingston. The restaurant is in the Delta Hotel on the water. Entrance is to the left in the lobby. The first thing you will notice is the gorgeous plate glass waterfall at the entrance. Really makes the ambiance something special. The dining room has elegant, modern lights that aren't bright, so the lighting is perfect. Blue carpet is beautiful and calming. And the view! There are big windows that are almost floor to ceiling around the dining room and offer spectacular views of the water. I really fell in love with this place! I was seated by the hostess in the very back in a super comfy booth, so I had a wonderful view of the sky, boats and water. The tables felt so elegant. Cloth napkins, your own mini light, beautiful wood grain and those fancy, padded book-like menus. I was feeling pretty fancy. My server was James. Very professional and paid great attention to detail. He was funny too. I could hear him joking with other patrons and he did with me too. The dining experience, I always say, is enhanced so much when the server takes the time to engage with you about more than what you are ordering. I had two Key Lime Pie margaritas. I had told James I was gluten-free so he said before I could that he would make sure they left off the graham cracker around the edge. That was one of my top ten cocktails. Really delicious. I had the scallops and grits. OMG was that dish incredible. Scallops were perfect! Great char on the outside and tender. There was hominy in the dish too, and being a TN native loved having that. There were pomegranate pieces on the plate. Never would have imagined scallops would go so well with pomegranate. That dish was amazing. Never thought I'd find a scallop dish that tops Vessel in NOLA...but there it was. James brought me a little extra...this Asian slaw on a single-serve spoon. Soooo good! And the service was perfect the entire time I was there. So many times servers ignore me or do the bare minimum since I dine alone, none of that here. James really took care of everything and made me feel valued as a customer. The view, the food, the service. What a perfect and delicious dinner! I'm returning to Kingston in October and will definitely eat at Aqua Terra again. I may be home, but I'm still eating that scallop dish in my dreams!
