Nice deli and sandwich shop in Kingston, ON. There are some premade sandwiches or you can have one custom made. It seemed like a small deli but there's a large patio in back. Lots of college students when we arrived. We picked out a couple of premade sandwiches. The roast beef was very good. The turkey salad, however, was the wrong choice for me. I always go for sliced turkey, so I figure turkey salad would be good. There was nothing wrong with the sandwich, but it just didn't work for me. I didn't like the dressing it was mixed with.

We went on an early Friday morning for breakfast, and the place was already packed. They have patio and seating inside. We wanted to sit inside, and the host said we would have a table upstairs but would have to share a table. We said we didn't mind since we were hungry. When we got to our table it was actually kinda small. Luckily, the table behind us left and we were able to get our own table. We ordered kids brekkie, weekender, and french toast. Service was great, and our server was really friendly. We went back the next day to pick up some cookies and chocolate croissants.

Very impressive interior with a real European feel and charm. Lots of foods and baking/cooking products available for sale. Quite a few appealing baked goods, though two types I bought weren't very sweet (a bit bland). Menu posting has an impressive variety of delicious items. My egg and side of potatoes for breakfast were ample and of general quality. Our server was very pleasant and helpful.

The go to brunch spot in Kingston especially if you are spending time downtown and looking around shops. This place is quite busy so try to head there early. In the summer there is a patio out back which is the cutest hidden spot hidden from the street. There is a bakery filled with delicious to go items, bread, baked goods to satisfy your cravings or surprise someone with a tasty treat. If you get hangry there is lots of options and coffee as well you can buy as you wait for a table. A must go for anyone visiting Kingston 10/10 easily.

I tried the Chanshuka for a Sunday brunch, which is their unique take on a shakshuka. The eggs were baked in a delicious tomato sauce with saffron and basil that was out of this world. We had to wait a good 30 minutes before our group of 4 could be seated, but the wait was definitely worth it. The entire place was packed (for good reason). The sauce spiced with saffron was DIVINE! For a price of ~$22 I think that was definitely reasonable.

Great place. Cozy and good food. Fresh baked goods. The chorizo sausage is one of the best I've tasted.

Tried brunch here for the first time and the food was okay. I would recommend not a fondue as it was more unique and different. Service was okay and the atmosphere was nice.

#1 with pork. Grilled pork belly with fresh salad and rice noodles- AKA Vietnamese bun noodles! Delish

Stopped in here as we wanted a local Kingston place with a patio- terrace. Our lunch was on a hot summer August day and we ate in their outdoor terrace area in the back. We had a patio parasol which was appreciated on a hot cloudless day! I ordered the #1 vermicelli with salad. My wife had the noodle salad an my daughter had the kids bacon and eggs with toast. My #1 pork belly with vermicelli was amazing. Done in the style of a Vietnamese bun noodles. The touch with the pork belly was fatty crispy awesome. The greens were super fresh. Kind of like when McDonald's had the McBLT. You mix the hot and the cold and what you have is a medley of flavours. My wife was very happy with her asian cold noodle salad and my daughter was content with her breakfast serving. After we went inside to see what baked goods they had. The pricing is kore on a premium side but quality is high here. Definitely a great place for business lunch. Romantic date or casual lunch.

The only bakery in town. (Fight me other bakeries). Is it any surprise they can offer you the best brunch?

The hubby and I spent a lovely Saturday morning out on the patio at Pan Chanco for breakfast. I was so impressed when I walked through the patio, a quaint, beautiful stone patio, simply decorated but still had charm. We were greeted soon after being seated by our wonderful waitress. I ordered the calling all vegans which consisted of greens, yellow peppers, beets, sweet potato and a tahini style dressing. It was wonderful and light, just wish there was a little more root veggies and less lettuce (I couldnt finish it all). The hubby ordered the Hash Diablo which consisted of spicy chorizo, Yukon Gold potatoes, scrambled eggs, avocado sour cream and crispy tortilla strips. He loved it and finished it all. We also picked up some treats in the store. A chocolate chip cookie, oatmeal cookie, & Pain au chocolat. So good. The store front is lovely and they have everything from cakes, breads, prepared foods and hostess gifts. Their menu is truly inpsiring and would recommend stopping here during your visit in Kingston.

We had reservation on a Friday morning, no line up when we went. We ordered the Weekender and El Chancho. The weekender 3/5 - thought this was a very average croissant sandwich. It came with over easy eggs, bacon, cheddar on a croissant. The croissant was nice and crispy, but the runny eggs didn't make sense because it made the bottom of the croissant moist, which became too dense with the ketchup. Bacon was nice and crispy. Overall this dish needs to be balanced with some veggies. El Chancho 4/5 - we really enjoyed how diverse this breakfast breakfast place was. Not only were there at the classic bacon eggs and sausage, there's also bacon jam, which was very yummy, the corn salad was pleasantly roasted, pea meal bacon. and a few slabs of savoury brioche loaf.. The crispy potatoes could have been a little crispier, and we're slightly on the salty side. Overall, Pan Chancho makes good brunch, just not great brunch for the price.

Fantastic Brunch. Had the cheese plate, side of smoked salmon, and my girlfriend and I split the French toast. The cheese plate was fantastic, and honestly really went well with the French toast. The compote that came with it was sweet and tart, perfectly paired with the cheese. The French toast was NOT as sweet as expected, make sure you ask for syrup. Honestly I liked it more like this, it didn't feel heavy, more like a lightly fried bread with chocolate sauce, almonds and coconut. The smoked salmon, from B.C., was delicious. Word of the wise, they serve their mimosas with a full mini bottle of champagne so ask for extra orange juice.

I got a medium Original Milk Tea with Hazelnut Flavouring $4.30 and added tapioca pearls for another $0.50 ($4.80 total). I asked for half sweet and regular ice. I didn't really taste much hazelnut flavour, and it was still really sweet for my tastes (I guess I should have ordered quarter sweet). It didn't have a strong tea flavour either. Fortunately, it wasn't too rich nor too creamy. I didn't get that much tapioca, but I guess it was ok because I found the tapioca too mushy. The place looked clean and service was fine. I've had better bubble tea, but I've also had much worse, so this place is ok. Maybe other flavours are better. Also, I just had bubble tea and didn't try their food or other offerings like shaved ice. I love shaved ice, so might have to return to try that :)

Shaved ice left a lot to be desired. Not a lot of flavor, strawberries did not look very fresh and the portion was pretty small for the price ($7 I think?). This place does get pretty busy because it is one of the go-to student spots for some Taiwanese food and bubble tea so do be wary of that. Service was fast and seating was comfortable. Would return to try a few more desserts or when I'm craving bubble tea although I have heard from some friends that they take a long time to make bbt.

The store was very cute and the staff behind the counter friendly. They have vanilla based flavours and chocolate based along with other items. I ordered what I believe was called the White Knight. It tasted milk chocolate with white chocolate pieces. I had been to Mio Gelato a few steps down, so of course your brain is going to compare. This place didn't have benches outside or anywhere to sit as the gelato place did, so I had to walk down to the water and find a place, but it was nice to sit in the little park area under the trees in the shade. The ice cream was good, but it did have a very slight 'freezer' taste at the beginning. The white chocolate chunks were very good. The service wasn't as friendly at this store as Mio. Just basic, but good enough. The ice cream taste is creamier than the gelato, so it's always nice to have something new and different on a different day. One of the better ice cream shops I've visited, and I would definitely stop in again to try another flavour.

Although many breweries/brewpubs have leaned into the now-cliché industrial look, KBC looks very much like an old school pub. Its walls are covered in the paraphernalia of countless beer companies, and there's plenty of nooks and crannies to sit down with your people and knock back some pints. Going to brewpubs can be a hit-or-miss experience for my non-beer-drinker wife, but KBC's enticing menu has something for everyone. Also, their sausage rolls appetizer was enough to ensure that we were both eager to try out the pub. The sausage rolls are of the bite-sized variety and come with a tomato-chili sauce for dipping. The puff pastry of the rolls was shatteringly-crisp, with some browning on both it and the exposed meat at the ends. I enjoyed the juicy, savoury meat inside and the tomato-chili sauce brought some acidity and heat to the show. Since we still weren't l that hungry, we decided to share just one main, the cottage pie. I always give mental kudos to places that use the proper name for this dish (it's only shepherd's pie if lamb is used) and take it as a sign that they know what they're doing. It's hard to have a *bad* cottage/shepherd's pie, but KBC's stood a bit above the fray with a bit more depth of flavour to its meat seasoning, as well as the smoked cheddar in the potatoes. As always, don't be too eager, as you will burn your mouth. Our server was very chill, but was still attentive and knew his stuff beer- and food-wise. It's easy to see why KBC is such a popular spot, and I'm glad we hit them up on this trip through Kingston!
