No atmosphere whatsoever - not a place to linger - but hands down best French cruller I've ever had. Moist, flakey, perfectly but not too sweet. I'd go out of my way to get a donut when I'm passing through the area again. read more

Coffee Way has an excellent variety of fresh delicious donuts and a lovely serving staff! Brought some to a class at Queen's and the students were so happy - many recognized the boxes and told me this was their favourite donut shop!! read more

Our donuts were delicious, and the staff was very kind. The coffee was very good as well.

Usually the coffee and donuts disappoint in Canada but not here this was the best coffee and the world best French crullers I've ever had in my life the ladies behind the counter were super nice and helpful everyday read more

So, I love donuts and this place makes awesome donuts! The flavours are "regular flavours" like apple fritters, chocolate glazed, Boston cream, etc. There are no fancy hipster frou-frou flavours like London Fog, lemon lavender, strawberry matcha, etc. And the prices are good, $1.40 a donut, $8.25 for half a dozen, or $14 for a dozen. I got half a dozen: blueberry fritter, apple and spice, Bavarian cream, honey crueller, Canadian (maple) cream, and apple fritter. My husband and I shared the honey crueller right away, and it was so fluffy and melt in your mouth. The best honey crueller I've ever had. I've been ruined forever; how can I ever go back to honey cruellers at Tim Hortons? When we got back to Ottawa, I ate a quarter of each type of other donut we got. They were also fluffy and delicious, but the honey crueller was the best. I will be dreaming about the honey crueller. This is an old school donut shop, no frills. Staff are really nice but a little rough around the edges. It's in a strip mall that looks a little rundown, but don't be deterred, the donuts are worth it! There is lots of free parking. read more

A beacon of light when you're in need of a late night snack. A glimmer of hope in the darkness of Kingston at 2am in the morning. Massive shoutout to the kind lady at the counter who always has a smile on her face and radiates positivity. High quality food and high quality experience for affordable prices. 10/10 would recommend if you're a student (with a car). Great variety of foods too, will hopefully be back to grab more (as long as my friends can give me a ride). read more

Best donuts in Kingston. Thick, fluffy, doughy, chewy, fresh - everything you could want. Excellent value too. We had the toasted coconut and enjoyed it a lot! Only think: having it warm would be a nice touch. read more

Coffee Way Donut Shop - a donut in a bag - Cafes Near Me - Kingston, Ontario

Awesome classic donuts. I love all donuts, including those that have exciting and experimental flavors, but the basis is still consistent quality and these are those. Always classic, always quality. A must for any Kingston trip. read more

LOVE THIS PLACE! Delicious is an understatement! The donuts are phenomenal and the coffee is always perfect. I've probably gained 10 lbs just from eating the donuts but it is WORTH IT. The little lady that usually works the counter is always so sweet and kind! I love that they are open 24 hours! I used to send my husband to stop by after his night of Uber driving to pick up the hot fresh donuts at around 3 am. This little cafe is truly gem in our neighborhood! read more

Coffee Way Donut Shop - YUMMY! - Cafes Near Me - Kingston, Ontario

Coffee Way has without a doubt the best donuts in town. After eating these you'll never be able to go back to Tim Hortons. Everything they make here is incredible. I once went in feeling hungry and wasn't really in the mood for a donut so I decided to try a sausage roll and was blown away by how good it was. Would recommend. read more

Coffee Way is a mainstay in Kingston and although its not really my regular type of hangout it's got a strong local following. If you visit, you'll be sure to notice the regular crowd is mostly seniors, truckers or the like, but grab a coffee and sit a while. I think coffee way is what roadside diners used to be: no miss, no fuss and a standard menu with soups and sandwiches both hot and cold. The prices are great and what I neglected to mention this far, is that their homemade baked goods are out of this world! Their hours are 24/7 so there is always a piping hot cup of joe waiting for you. read more

Coffee Way Donut Shop - customers waiting for their order - Cafes Near Me - Kingston, Ontario

Ok, the donuts are good. BUT the service is horrible, we have been a regular customers for the whole last two years. My friend went there yesterday to buy donuts as usual but there were no donuts so she decided to stay until the donuts are ready. The woman who is working there came and told her aren't you going to order something? She told her I am waiting till any donuts are out. The woman talked to her in a very rude way and told her to go out since she is not ordering something now!!! We have bought hundreds of donuts from them and refered then to all of our friends. So, my friend was not staying because she is homeless or something she just wanted donuts because Surprisingly they are a donuts shop! I am shocked of their behavior anf sadly I don't think that I will never go there again. read more

Best donuts in kingston, no cap. So fresh, great price. Would definitely go again. If you haven't gone here, you're truly missing out.

BEST BANG FOR YOUR BUCK IN TERMS OF DOUGHNUTS! I had heard that the toasted coconut and apple fritter donuts were to do for and they did not disappoint. They had good texture and good flavour. Plus they weren't too oily like some donuts are; they were pretty fluffy. Also, for just over a dollar each, how could you ever go wrong? Okay, so the place is kinda sketchy and the workers aren't the fastest, but they have a good time there and are nice & friendly. I'll definitely be coming back to try some new flavours! read more

Yeah the neighborhood is a little bleak and dysfunction junction. but this is a dirty little secret amongst Kingstonians. The strudel and muffins in here are fantastic. While I am a big fan of the donut chain of a famous Buffalo Sabre, Coffee Way is a must stop while up here in the summertime. read more

Best donuts I've ever had. Freshly made. Also great coffee. What a treat... I always recommend this place.

Now this is the place to get amazing donuts. My favourite out of all of them is the eclair. The prices are amazing and the staff are friendly. I will always come here whenever I want a donut read more

I wasn't sure at first but this place is the real deal. High quality, tastes like homemade, friendly service, open 24 hours. Try the blueberry fritter, you won't be sorry. read more

If you are looking for an honest-to-goodness old fashioned style donut that doesn't have that chain donut chemical taste (sorry TH, you really don't make em like you used to) and doesn't cost you $3/gourmet donut in chai tea or braised bacon, THIS is your place! Salem MA has Ziggy's, Nasheville TN has Donut Den (amongst others) and Kingston ON has Coffee Way. I sunk my teeth into a giant cinnamon donut that looked like a bear claw - PERFECT. They were out of their "Glazed Maple" (my donut litmus test) but my friend ordered the Boston Cream and seemed very happy with his choice. They have a tried and true selection of mostly yeast donuts but also boast an array of squares, tarts etc. They also do soups/sandwiches but didn't explore that as it was a donut-centric day. The atmosphere is unpretentious, locally haunted and brightly lit in only a way that a dentist office, school room or donut shop can be. So if you're driving between Montreal and Toronto and fancy an alternative to the usual, take the Division exit. - it's not far from the highway! read more

Great donuts - they are made fresh and it's reflected in the taste. They melt in your mouth and your hand. Shout out to boston cream. Once you've had these donuts, Tim Hortons tastes like chemicals. read more

This place is magical. The most delicious donuts I've ever had! In what's becoming a new tradition of sorts, my buddies and I have now come back to this gem 3 times this summer before weekend camping trips. Great flavours to the donuts. So tender and fluffy and delicate and moist! We eat far too many but it's just great. The staff are friendly and their dry wit and humour make the place feel like home. read more

Coffee Way Donut Shop - Cafes Near Me - Kingston, Ontario

Seems to be perpetually understaffed. Never has any donuts ready regardless of what time of day it is. Food is great when they actually have it ready but they never do. Save yourself the trouble and go to one of the many Tim's in the area. If it wasnt for this place's location it would have gone under years ago. Sub par in almost every possible way. read more

Every single donut is delicious. I don't think they make anything that is terrible, and even if they tried it would still turn out tasty. Heh. read more

Best donuts you will find in the area! They are amazing and made fresh every morning!

If you've only had a donut from one of those chain coffee shops, prepare to be blown away by the donuts at Coffee Way. Made fresh, there is nothing better. It's open 24 hours a day and you might happen upon freshly made, still warm donuts. My favourite, hands down, is the chocolate walnut - a heavy, cakey, square donut that has the savoury-ness of chunks of walnuts and crispy fried crust with a generous coating of glaze for sweetness. The fritters are also huge and delicious, a close second. You will have trouble deciding on a donut so bring friends to share and try a few. I have purchased dozens to take to work and they are always a hit. You will be ruined for crappy donuts forever - I don't even consider having one anywhere else. read more

Best donut shop in Kingston hands down. Food is actually made in the store can u imagine that.

Best doughnuts I've ever had. Hipster style doughnuts at Tim Horton's prices. If this place was in Ottawa I would be a happy 300 pounds, but I only get to go when I visit my daughter at Queen's. I hope she goes to grad school!! read more

Best little coffee & pastries cafe in Kingston. Three minutes off highway (401). Fresh, clean donuts to die for.

Best donut shop in Kingston. Only place u can find a cherry cruller the way they made them 20 years ago There dozen is so big they fill a box and give u a bag with the rest Since times raised the price of a dozen to $9.... Go to coffee way and pay $9.50 and get the best of the best read more

Coffee Way is Kingston's best kept secret. The donuts are made in-house and available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Once you have a blueberry fritter, you'll never look at a Tim's donut the same way again. As a warning, all the donuts contain milk. read more

The staff is rude to anyone from the high school next door (clearly identified by their uniforms). Just because of the few bad experiences the staff have decided to treat every student of Regi like scum and are very unwelcoming. They never make eye contact, complain about having to heat up bagels, and judge you on your method of payment. Meanwhile, they bow down to the older locals and will ignore paying Regi customers to attend to soliciting adults reading last week's newspaper. It's seriously ridiculous. read more

I took a midnight journey to this distant Donut shop, aside from being chased by a sweater monster on my way there, it was a good journey. Even though it was midnight, the donuts were fresh and amazing. read more

I grew up just blocks away from this place (and kept living there for a long while after I'd grown up), and went to the high school across the street, so do I ever have a history with this place. It's classic 24-hour coffee shop fare, complete with curmudgeonly old lady staff and old Portuguese guys always having coffee with their newspapers, and I'm old enough to remember when people still smoked in the place- except for no smoking, nothing has changed. One thing stands out for me- the doughnuts! And the smell of doughnuts- in evenings it's not uncommon for this craptastic neighborhood to smell deliciously of fresh baking/frying doughnuts (and then go a few more blocks north, and you'll get the bread from the bakery on Railway street. Nicely masks all the drug addict and boozer smells...). My Dad was a musician and often got back late from gigs on weekend nights. When he did? He would always stop by on the way home and pick up a box of FRESH-OUT-OF-THE-FRYER doughnuts. I didn't care if it was 3 am and i had to haul his drum kit in first, a huge blueberry cruller not even twenty minutes old is AMAZING and I always needed to wet several napkins to eat it I'd be so sticky with sugar glaze. The doughnuts are classic flavours, nothing too innovative, but delicious and just the way that they should be. And big. I like Tim's, but their doughnuts really have got nothing on these. VERY busy at lunchtimes with Regi across the street (they also provided a student discount the decade ago when I was in high school), and also a late-night favourite with the area police officers, I always saw squad cars out front on weekend nights with a cop walking back out with a box of delicious. read more
