I was looking for a new place for Açaí Bowls and Jungle Bowls popped up. Jungle Bowls is a health food spot in Bay Ridge, known for its vibrant, customizable açaí, pitaya, and mango bowls, along with smoothies, juices, and other healthy options like oatmeal and toast. I opted for my usual Açaí bowl: organic coconut, Nutella, strawberries, blueberries, bananas and granola but with a frozen coconut Açaí base. I usually get frozen raspberries as a base but wanted something new. The medium size was plenty: generous portion of Açaí and fruit. I also ordered a smoothie which I customized with my own options: spinach, apple, pineapple, minor and a coconut water base. Delicious and refreshing. It beats Carvel hands down.(Sorry) You can get a healthy juice, smoothies, all kinds of Açaí Bowl, protein bowl, cold brewed coffee, all kinds of toasts, avocado, etc, They have an extensive menu to select from our you can pick your own fresh ingredients. Add a shot of wheat grass and other shots to your drinks as well. I've been there two or three times and the staff is polite, well trained, it's well organized, and clean. You can text, print or email your receipt which is par for the course today. You can earn points and discounts as well. It's nice that they want to hear from you. Their price for 2 toasts is such a steal. Usually avocado toasts at other spots are pricier. The Pico de Gallo Toast is one of the best avocado toasts I've ever had. The Avofeta Toast was also good. Cozy and fresh, Jungle Bowls offers a great selection of smoothies and Açaí bowls. The ambience makes it worth the double parking you'll have to deal with on 3rd Avenue. The young staff was knowledgeable of each smoothie and gave me no issue with simple substitutes. The kids sizes are about a third of the size of a regular, so beware if you're expecting more from a kids size smoothie. The açaí smoothie was delicious as was the tropical mango. We got the Large Jungle Bowl ($13) and Large Tropical Bowl ($13), both from the Acai section. My Jungle Bowl contained your classics: bananas, strawberries, and blueberries. I did find the honey with the coconut flakes a tad sweet, and the taste, pretty monotonous, but mixed with the rest of the bowl, a sweet refreshing meal. We paired them with the beach, and the vibes could not have been more immaculate. The mangos and pineapples from the Tropical Bowl was the perfect accompaniment. Every fruit tasted so fresh! Had to stop by Jungle bowls again! My new favorite location and it's right down the block from Harbor Fitness gym so it was a quick walk! I came for a smoothie but ended up ordering more, everything looked so so good. I tried the Pico de galló toast finally because I've never heard about it and I was amazed!! They put a lot of Avocado on the toast so you definitely get more than your money's worth!! My mango tango bowl was filled to the tippy top!! I had to eat through the toppings before getting to the axis. I really hope they reconsider the bowls they use. A more narrow bowl like the ones at Baya Bar would make much more sense. I love their ambiance and their jungle bowls. My fave is their Pitaya bowl. They also have a very fast and friendly service. If my husband and I didn't have the time to go out, we order via Grubhub and it still tastes delicious. The only issue I have is they close very early at 8pm. My shift ends at 7pm so there were times that I'm craving but couldn't place an order because the store was closed or is closing soon and couldn't order online anymore.
