I have been going here for years, whether I'm in the area or just craving a healthy fix and high quality smoothie with fresh ingredients made to order. You can customize all of your drink options- from smoothies to protein shakes to juices, and everything is made right in front of you. The staff is always lovely and if you're hungry they have an entire full food menu of all healthy and balanced options to choose from. The menu here is reflective of many kinds of different diets so whether you're tracking macros or calories, or really just want something light and homemade, this is definitely the place to go. I think this now may be my favorite restaurant in the entire Sheepshead Bay Area! This is a health food restaurant because they do not fry anything or use any oil in any of their products. We were skeptical at first, but as soon as I took the first bite of food, I was hooked. They have a pretty expensive menu of wraps, plates, sandwiches, juices, and smoothies. They also have a wide variety of health drinks in large fridges along one side of the store, as well as protein bars and snacks across another side. A group of us order different sandwiches and smoothies. I decided to order their number 10 which was a lean ground bison wrap. This contained incredibly flavored rice, perfectly sautéed peppers and onions, and a pillowy soft wrap. The meat itself was cooked so well and had no gamy flavor. I also ordered their summer smoothie - a mix of strawberries, blueberries, banana, peach juice, and passionfruit juice. This was easily one of the best fruit smoothies I've ever had. The absolute best part about this place is that they don't price gouge you like other restaurants in the area and around New York. Sandwiches are reasonably priced between 8 to 9 dollars, and smoothies start off at 5 dollars. Overall, I am simply amazed at how good food can be even when made in a more healthy style. I remember a decade ago when Fuel had a location in Forest Hills. It was decent, not great. This one however, has turned me back in to being a customer. Huge menu, good service, reasonably priced, and bomb smoothies. I got a large fuel energy power smoothie with peanut butter and almond milk. It was massive and less than $8. Insane. Even the Cajun French fries (which go perfectly with any meal) are baked instead of fried. I usually stick to the salmon protein plate, which includes a generous portion of cooked salmon over brown rice mixed with grilled peppers and onions, spinach, teriyaki sauce, and topped with avocado. I just wished the owner was a little more friendlier; he falls short of good customer service, and you can almost tell that he isn't very welcoming of everyone there. My wrap was delicious, it had grilled chicken, lettuce, tomato, and thousand island dressing. I was buying shakes/food everyday and i noticed that they charge differently every time, everything depends who serve you or who answers the phone for delivery. 0.50 for ranch? it is ok, but why did not you charge me the whole week and then another guy decided to charge. Guy at the counter entertained my 20 questions even though I was only ordering a small juice. He was sweet and tried to sell me the oversized muffins at the counter that I'd inadvertently started to pet and flip annoyingly around. Must say, the corn one did look OK. If u don't gotta thing for cornmeal, u ought to. Their sell here is everything is made healthily from low-carb, lowfat, natural ingredients, even their baked goods. By the look of one patron's salmon brown rice veggie platter, they are. My juice (after I told him verbatim- make it good, I'm gonna yelp it- although that def got lost in translation) was excellent. Succinct and crisp lemon and beet flavors that coated over all the 6 or so ingredients that I couldn't discern definitively. Doesn't matter- Brooklyn prices definitely trumps city prices and this juice pretty much made the coo-coo green monster I got sometime ago and paid the cost of protein entree dinner look like garbage. I usually come here after I have a workout at the gym. I enjoy their vegetable smoothies [$4 for a small] and their muffins [$2.50]. The muffins are very filling and huge! I recently had the brownie and found it was way too chocotatey, I think I'll stick to the Banana Walnut Muffin. The hot food is really good too. The grilled vegetables and grilled chicken is tasty for health food, if not a little bland. I ask for a side of hot sauce, so that works in a pinch.
