I think this now may be my favorite restaurant in the entire Sheepshead Bay Area! This is a health food restaurant because they do not fry anything or use any oil in any of their products. We were skeptical at first, but as soon as I took the first bite of food, I was hooked. They have a pretty expensive menu of wraps, plates, sandwiches, juices, and smoothies. They also have a wide variety of health drinks in large fridges along one side of the store, as well as protein bars and snacks across another side. A group of us order different sandwiches and smoothies. I decided to order their number 10 which was a lean ground bison wrap. This contained incredibly flavored rice, perfectly sautéed peppers and onions, and a pillowy soft wrap. The meat itself was cooked so well and had no gamy flavor. I also ordered their summer smoothie - a mix of strawberries, blueberries, banana, peach juice, and passionfruit juice. This was easily one of the best fruit smoothies I've ever had. The absolute best part about this place is that they don't price gouge you like other restaurants in the area and around New York. Sandwiches are reasonably priced between 8 to 9 dollars, and smoothies start off at 5 dollars. Overall, I am simply amazed at how good food can be even when made in a more healthy style. I know I will continue to patron this store whenever I'm in the area.

FUEL DIESEL - one of the goated dishes around! Love the brothers that own it - have known them forever at this point. Quick and easy delivery available as well.

The staff is friendly and service is very quick. I loved the juice, there were so many choices.

I remember a decade ago when Fuel had a location in Forest Hills. It was decent, not great. This one however, has turned me back in to being a customer. Huge menu, good service, reasonably priced, and bomb smoothies. I got a large fuel energy power smoothie with peanut butter and almond milk. It was massive and less than $8. Insane. Most places charge $12 for that. They also have sizes ranging from small to extra large and everything is made to order and customizable.

What a wonderful experience People here are warm kind and so attentive. They are pouring their hearts in everything they are making for you. Juices are here are something that you need to drive here for. Salads are super delicious and so much variety.... And did I mention it's a health cafe?! Recommending: -Protein brownies *** keep refrigerated it will still be melting in your mouth -Grilled chicken over salad ***don't forget to ask for avocado -Lentil soup ***OMG That's it for today

FUEL IS THE BEST! They have so menu delicious menu items and delicious, healthy smoothies. The best part: nothing is fried. Even the Cajun French fries (which go perfectly with any meal) are baked instead of fried. I usually stick to the salmon protein plate, which includes a generous portion of cooked salmon over brown rice mixed with grilled peppers and onions, spinach, teriyaki sauce, and topped with avocado. I have also tried the salmon burger; also satisfying but it's more simple. There are really so many unique combinations for anyone, and everything is fairly guilt free, even the French fries (regular, Cajun, or sweet potato). I love to stop by here for lunch or dinner whenever I can

Nice little spot where you can get fresh meals on a healthy tip. I just wished the owner was a little more friendlier; he falls short of good customer service, and you can almost tell that he isn't very welcoming of everyone there. My friend and I came here twice, because we are careful with what we eat. So with that being said, they have a WIDE range of very healthy meals. Business owners need to realize that at the end of the day, we the consumers DO have options. He probably means well, but I dont like his demeanor at all towards us. Unfortunately, due to that, I for sure will not be spending my money there anymore.

Great portions, a wide variety of menu items for different dietary needs. Lots of high protein, low fat options.

Nice, yummy, clean, fresh. Just try it and you'll keep coming back for healthy options. Highly recommend their tropical smoothies!

I truly enjoyed my lunch at Fuel. It's nice to have a healthy eating option around the corner. I ordered a grilled salmon salad with avocado and oil and vinegar dressing. The salmon .... actually, the entire salad was absolutely delicious. It was nicely portioned, everything was fresh and tasty, and it came out pretty quick. They also have tons of fresh juice options and amazing salads, wraps, soups, and even dessert. Overall, I definitely wonna come back and try more.

The good first: the pastries did taste fresh (not stale or frozen), and the chocolate éclair itself was genuinely tasty -- smooth filling, balanced sweetness, and the best item from my order. But the execution + value were disappointing, especially for the very high prices vs to prices and sizes for similar items in multiple nearby bakeries. Packaging / delivery issue: the two éclairs were put together in one box without being secured, so during transit the chocolate ganache rubbed off and smeared onto the mango éclair. For $7 per éclair, that's not acceptable -- they need to separate or secure them properly. Almond croissant: very small and had only a thin layer of almond filling with NO sliced/shaved almonds, which is not what you expect from a classic almond croissant! Raisin & custard croissant-many people think of as a "raisin + custard spiral", traditionally called Pain aux raisins (also known as an escargot). This one tasted fresh, but had no custard at all -- basically a raisin spiral without the cream component. Mango éclair: the filling was bright orange but tasted strongly acidic, extremely sour, more like citrus or an apricot/citrus gel than mango -- no real mango flavor or aroma. It didn't smell spoiled, but it was not what was expected based on the menu. Coffee: very mediocre, flavorless and arrived barely warm, definitely Do NOT recommend wasting money on that when even regular franchise coffee shops produce much better tasting coffee. Overall: freshness is there, but portion size, packaging for delivery, and flavor accuracy need improvement. I'd come back for the chocolate éclair only if they fix packaging, size vs price & quality control issues and will tighten up the recipes/descriptions.

I ordered the Journey to Baku salad, the Turkish bread, and the Guru Khingal. The salad needed a pinch of salt, but there was a shaker on the table and with that addition, it was a decent refreshing appetizer. It's sort of a spread so I would recommend ordering some bread to eat with it. The bread came out steaming hot and smelling amazing. It was soft and fluffy on the inside and delicious. I took the extra home and ate it all immediately when I got there. Delicious bread. The Guru Khingal is honestly one of the best things I've ever eaten in New York City. I wasn't sure exactly what to expect, as I have never eaten this type of food before. The tender, handcut pasta seems to be layered with flavorful lamb fat like the most decadent possible buttered noodles and the ground lamb topping is rich and perfectly seasoned. The yogurt sauce gives the dish balance. It's a fairly large portion that could easily be shared between two. I highly recommend this spot, the glowing reviews are not exaggerating at all. I often like to try new and unusual restaurants, and sometimes I enjoy them mostly for the novelty. That was not the case at Village Cafe. My meal here was delicious and I am eager to return, even with the 75 minute commute from north Brooklyn.

I felt like I was inside someone's home and felt welcomed and comfortable. Not loud and well lit. Service (5/5): We came at an off hour during the weekend around 1:30pm there was still around 6 parties dining in. The staff provided good recommendations and good service. When asked for water without any lemon slices, they provided bottled water at no extra cost! Food: (4/5) - rated New York Times top 100 Best Restaurants in New York City in 2025 Every dish came with a small cup of sour cream / Tzatziki based sauce that went with every dish. This was a must and this was mastered very well. Kutaby with chicken and lamb (4/5) - we ordered one each but the lamb was far superior than the chicken. Guru Hingal (4/5) - served in a warmed bowl with a lid in a bed of soft pasta and minced lamb. The pasta reminded me of chow fun (Chinese rice flat noodles) and then some seasoned minced lamb. While overall there were flavors in there, it was still lacked flavors and required to be drowned in the Tzatziki sauces or perhaps a order of table hot sauce. Finally we got the Lamb Lulya Kebab (5/5): this was by far the best dish of the meal! The meat was so wonderfully seasoned throughout, juicy, and complemented well with the rice, onions, and tomato based dip. The wraps themselves were way too small to enjoy using hands so we definitely reconstructed on our plates and attempts with our hands.
