This place never disappoints! I am sad they're no longer serving poke bowls (loyal and regular customer since they opened!) but I'm loving their new menu! They now serve a variety of burgers and sandwiches, wings, appetizers, acai bowls and drinks. I have tried most of their menu and you just can't go wrong with whatever you pick. I was skeptical about coming here when I saw fried chicken and acai bowl on the menu. But then I thought, hey, they might be onto something with these 2 very opposite foods to offer. Let me tell you, this is the spot! We ordered a combo (2 fried chicken sandwiches, 2 wings, fried and 2 soda), 8 more wings, and an acai bowl. Let's talk fried chicken sandwiches. I'm just sooooo happy to have finally found an amazing fried chicken sandwich place that has fresh lettuce between the buns! I hate soggy and old lettuce, so seeing their fresh lettuce made me extremely happy. Also, their buns were buttered and toasted! The chicken itself was fried perfectly crunchy on the outside and tender on the inside. Literal chefs kiss. Wings, double fried to its peak crispiness. Mic drop. Acai bowl was on the drier side, however, still very tasty! Honestly acai bowl is a must now whenever I eat fried chicken, it truly cuts down the grease and I don't feel disgusting afterward. One downside of this establishment is that it's a one man show. The owner takes the order and cooks it in the kitchen himself, so the wait time can be a bit long. Was at the doctor's and wanting to try something new, stumbled onto Chick N' Baos on UberEATS and decided to check it out for pickup. They were doing Bogo offers which was really cool because I got to share some items with my husband and just doubled up on others. We have actually been here several times since that first find because my husband craves the Mexican chicken wraps :) The only issue is it's not so close to where we live so we can't get anything like fries because they'd be soggy by the time we got home. We have tried the Wat the egg burger (with fried egg), guava lemonade, Thai bubble tea, fried chicken burger, and Mexican chicken wrap and some other things I cannot remember at the moment. I enjoyed the burgers as they felt very clean and I didn't feel bogged down after eating one. The only thing I didn't like is that the bottom bun would get sopped - not sure if it was the pickles? I think even toasted like it says it comes, the bread get soaked so I have to toast it up again before I eat. The Mexican chicken wraps were really good and simple - spicy mayo, lettuce and fried chicken strips which were so deliciously crunchy! The fried chicken burgers were also really good with that crisp that feels like a Popeye's chicken sandwich, but doesn't feel as greasy. The thai bubble tea wasn't for me, but the guava lemonade was nice. This place also looks family run and the family is so nice! It's a small shop that sells quite a variety of foods: wings, burgers, fries, boba, fruit teas, açaí bowls, smoothies, milkshakes, coconut bowls, pitaya bowls, and others. I've tried the Loco Loco açaí bowl and it's delicious. The almond butter was a little too thick, but it's okay since it was still delicious. The Guac burger was okay. Wanted to try something sweet and healthy, decided to try one of the Pitaya Bowl- and really liked it. Ordered the Stupid Cupid Pitaya Bowl- which comes with Strawberries, bananas, and Kiwi topped with granola and Nutella drizzle. It does taste as delicious as it sounds and very hearty even for a bowl that size. Fruits were really frozen cold, and not as naturally sweet as I would've hoped, the Nutella topping made up for it. we ordered smoothies and fries here and although both were OK I think the fries were much better because they're standard and the smoothies were just OK. They were fruity, but they were kind of watery. The service was good. They just got out the food right away and they're very direct. I have only came here once so I'm not too sure about the pricing now and the service now but when I went there, it was pretty OK. The ambience is also OK. Second time ordering from this place and quality was just as I expected it to be. The spicy chicken sandwich was juicy and thick. Not super spicy but definitely had a kick to it. Very generous with the sauce but be careful this is not a eat-in-your-car sandwich becuase it will get messy. Sweet potato fries were good (can't really do sweet potato fries wrong). I took a gamble with the onion rings; I didn't expect much from it. It was very bready and doughy but there was onion flavor so there's that. Guava lemonade was refreshing and sweet. I've been eyeing this place ever since I saw the new shop sign that was replacing Full Time NetCafe. I love chicken and I love baos, so I had high hopes for it, especially because 13th Avenue needs more food options in the neighborhood. When it first opened, I saw it had neither chicken nor baos on the menu, but acai bowls and poke bowls instead, which I'm not too excited about, so I never ventured inside prior to this day. Then the store closed for about a month and a half, saying they were working on adding fried chicken and burgers on the menu. Woah! Burgers are my favorite food, hands down. And I won't say no to fried chicken or bubble tea. Do you know how many times my family have complained about the lack of fast food in our area? Now we have one! It's the best of both worlds, burgers and bubble tea, a match made in heaven. The only place that used to have something like this was Peggy's Burger (renamed as Tea & Burger) on New Utrecht Avenue, which steadily declined in quality until it shut down several years ago. And let me tell you, Chick N' Baos is loads better than when Peggy's Burger was at its peak. Currently, it's 10% off for its grand (re-)opening, so it's no surprise that it's busy right now. This place was packed with students from all the nearby schools when I came to check it out. I hope this place can thrive for years to come and keep this standard of quality. I ordered Combo B, which is a cheeseburger, fries, and a canned soda, as well as their brown sugar bubble milk. It took about 15 minutes to prepare my order, which is a little longer than I would have liked, but since it's only just started with these cooked menu items, I think they can improve on their timing without sacrificing quality. Cheeseburger: Bigger than a fast food chain burger, but smaller than specialty burger joint burgers. The bun has sesame seeds on it, which I'm not particularly fond of, since this screams low-quality buns to me. If it had been a brioche bun, I'd be ecstatic. The included toppings are a slice of cheese, pickles, ketchup, and lettuce. I hated the lettuce since it did not look like an appetizing piece of lettuce, being pale white and extremely flabby. There was barely any crunch to it, which seems like a missed opportunity to me. However, the burger patty was nicely seasoned, flavorful, juicy, and moist. I really liked the patty, which saves the burger, hands down. The only nitpick is that it seems like it was overcooked on one side, because my last bite of the burger was the worst, being strangely hard and dry. Not a good way to end the meal. 3/5 Fries: Perfect crispness. Not a single limp or burnt fry to be seen. Great portion too. I was full after finishing the combo. Only complaint is the seasoning was a bit lacking, it could have more salted more. 4/5 Brown Sugar Bubble Milk: A lot of non-specialty bubble tea places have hard bubbles and strong powdery mixes for their tea, because they just add it on the menu so customers will order them, having no other options for drinks otherwise. Not the case here. The bubbles are soft and pleasantly chewy, not too sweet, and the milk is very fresh. I think they could have been a bit more generous with the brown sugar though. 4.5/5 I'm excited to try other things on their menu soon and see if this will become a regular takeout spot for me. I also hope that they add some more healthier options on the menu so I don't feel guilty coming here for dinner every so often! read more

I ordered delivery via Uber Eats and have not been in store. The order was delivered within a reasonable amount of time and was warm. I ordered the Jasmine Milk tea and chicken burger/sandwich. The chicken burger is a decent amount of food, and the chicken was crisp. However I really wasn't a fan of the yellow sauce that automatically comes on it and ended up tossing most of it as a result. The milk tea with boba was underwhelming and tasted like 90% milk with little to no tea, my least favorite part of the meal. All in all it wasn't the worst but I don't think I'll be ordering again. Every week I try to visit and support small local businesses in my neighborhood and chick n' Baos cafe was the pick of the week. I bought the fried whole spring chicken with fries and a soft drink to go. The fries were very good. Even with condensation from the closed bag, they did not go limp and remained crunchy. The chicken was well seasoned and also crunchy. The vibrantly colored varying selection of pitaya and acai bowls will be my next buy. I've ordered from this place many times, and they've always been consistently high quality! Their açaí bowls always come in generous portions and with the freshest, ripest fruit toppings every time. Some restaurants use cheap, artificial açaí blends and you can tell, but not this place! Their açaí blend tastes very fresh and is the perfect consistency, sweetness, and flavor. I've also tried their popcorn chicken and spicy fried chicken wings - both super flavorful, actually filled with chicken and not just breading like some other places, and delightfully crispy even after an hour in the car.
