Loved this place! While I was sad to see the Graffiti Junction close, I am certainly glad to have June replace it. The vibe in this place is so nice with a lot of natural lighting. If the weather was a little cooler I think the outside tables would be very nice too. All of the food came out fast and everything was hot. I would actually die for this chicken al pastor and that's no joke. The drinks were a definite hit as well. Our service was very friendly and knowledgeable on the menu and took the time to talk to us about portion sizes so we knew exactly how much to order for the table. Our dinner reservation at June was phenomenal! We had a 6pm reservation on the patio and the weather was perfect for a date night outside. The patio isn't too crowded (the tables are properly spaced apart from each other in my opinion), the music wasn't too loud, and they had a nice playlist playing too. Despite sitting outside and farther away from the bar/kitchen, the staff was incredibly attentive to us and made sure we were well taken care of. Our waitress, Penelope, was amazing! She was very knowledgeable of the menu, helped us to understand how ordering our food works since it was our first time, and she gave incredible recommendations for food and drinks. She checked in on us a perfect amount of times - not too much or too little. When it came to closing our check, she showed us the screen on her device and had us make sure everything looked correct before we were charged which I really appreciated considering how they use devices vs printed checks. We ordered the Crudo Tuna, Avocado and Sauces, the Wagyu Beef Tostadas, and the Coconut Cake. All of these items were perfect for sharing and we didn't feel like we overate after finishing everything between the two of us. The Crudo Tuna was perfectly balanced. We ate it like we would for Nigiri Sushi, all in one bite, and the flavor profile was amazing! Would highly recommend. The Avocado and Sauces was the most filling part. If we had shared it between 3 or 4 people total we probably would've had more room to try more items on the menu, which isn't a bad thing, but I would note the size of it before you order. Each of the sauces it comes with have a different spiciness level and taste. They are all unique and we enjoyed each of them! The Wagyu Beef Tostadas were fantastic. I would compare it to Carpaccio for the texture/consistency. I'm looking forward to trying the other tostada options when we come back again! The Coconut Cake was good. My partner enjoyed it more than I did, but I still think it was good overall! The coconut flakes are massive and I'll admit that the dish comes across like it's simply crumbled/sliced pound cake with sauce and toppings added on top. We kinda wish the cake had been a bit more moist, but it was still good overall! We will definitely be trying their other desserts next time to see how they compare. Lastly, the drinks were good overall, but we are going to explore some of the signature cocktails for our next visit vs adding a shot of tequila to the Frescas options. We are curious to try more complex flavors compared to what we ordered. We very much look forward to coming back to June for dinner sometime! My gf booked this restaurant for my birthday dinner since she knew I wanted something chill and new. This place used to be old graffiti junction. I will first start with the atmosphere and service. Atmosphere: if you know old graffiti junction, the new bar still in the same old spot haha. But everything was completely redone. So you are looking for a chill upbeat experience where you can talk among your friends, enjoy a good time, and that takes you away from Orlando for a little bit, June has a done a good job with the new ambience feelings like you are in the coastal of Europe like in Ibiza. Great music. Hopefully they will bring a live dj for the weekend brunches. Very detailed with the decorative, and they did a great job with the spacing of the tables. This place was packed and there was no table available but yet it felt so open. Anyway I m wondering how the patio will work out during the hot summer nights. 5/5 Service: Our waiter was amazing! You can train on skills but you can't train on attitude. You can tell he loves his jobs by his demeanors. Also Great job on the restaurant training the waiters staff because I asked some tough questions about certain food and how it was made. He knew the answers and he provided me his recommendations and he said he tried everything. First time I have heard in a while that a waiter has tried everything in the menu. We took his recommendations and more. He was managing between 5-7 tables and still managed to check in on us for drinks and to see how we were doing. The support staff was great too, attentive to clear our tables and making sure our water was refilled. 5/5 Food: So we were there for the dinner and we were focused on trying to the sharing tapa plates. I was surprised how limited food options were but I understand when you are new. Most of these small plates are designed for 1 or 2 people. We will go back to try the bigger sharing plates like the smoked short ribs. So we ordered the crude, all 3 tostadas (waygu beef, lump crab, and tuna), avocado with all the salsas options, fried chicken , and coconut cake. The tostadas: the best one was lump crab cakes - super yummy not salty and well balanced. The wagyu beef was good. Would I order it again? Neh. Also I didn't care for the tuna tortada. Avocado guacamole with all the salsas options were amazing. Great fresh Salsa options and I definitely did a few combos with them lol the Crudo was pretty good. They did a good job on teaching you how to eat it so you can get the experience. The only thing that I was disappointed was the Fried chicken. My expectation was it would be big chunk fried chicken pieces and there would be a dipping sauce on the side. Instead, they tossed it with the fried Chicken nuggets and it tasted like an orange chicken to me. The charred pineapples were nice added touch. The coconut cake dessert was very sweet for my taste and the cake itself was very dry but I think it was done on purpose so you can dip it with the cream. I did enjoy the lime cream though. I will try the caramel creme next time. Great drinks that they have. The drinks were pretty strong especially the espresso martini made with tequila. So let's start with the cost. The place is definitely not a $ ; especially for the type of food. It is priced just a bit under Miami prices. So I want to make sure expectations are set correctly especially if you are looking to get full from 1 or 2 dishes, this place is not it. This is a place where you want to bring a date or friends to hang out and share a bunch dishes. And You are paying for the ambience. I will have to lean towards a 4/5. The quality of food is great so it doesn't deserve a 3. I think there is room for improvement to upgrade menu food choices and quantity. 4/5 This place has a lot potential since it is super unique for DT Orlando and it definitely raises the standards for an awesome ambience among their competitors. Went to check out the soft opening with a few friends. Had a reservation which wasn't ready when we arrived--that's okay, we went to the bar for drinks. I tried the blueberry vodka cocktail which was delicious. Others had the pineapple gin and espresso. We all agreed drinks were great. Tables weren't ready after 10-15 min so we checked on the status where they confessed a mess up had occurred so it would be another 15 min or we could sit outside. We chose to wait for a table inside. Ended up getting our table around 9:15-9:20pm for our 8:30pm reservation. Once we were seated, our waitress greeted us. We were able to order fairly quickly (I was hungry). Ordered the cornbread, masa dumpling, ceviche, fish taco, lump crab tostado, and duck for 2. Long story short, I'd recommend getting the fish taco, cornbread, and duck. Fish taco was probably my favorite. Great balance of flavors and textures. Dessert was given to us for free (very kind) but it was underwhelming. Salty. I think most things are priced more than what they should be. I would say this is a good spot to grab drinks and some bites before a show or catching up, but wouldn't come for a full meal. My friend Ronnald treated me to dinner at June Restaurant for my birthday I chose June mostly because it was close to the Dr. Phillips Center and because the place is beautiful. Inside it reminded me of restaurants you'd see in Miami, Marbella, Majorca, even St. Tropez. Very lounge style. Relaxed, modern, neurtral tones. I liked it right away. You can feel the energy in the whole place. People talking in a very lively way... LOVED the energy ! I honestly didn't even realize it was a Mexican restaurant until I got there. I picked it on location and looks and then the menu surprised me, in a good way. Our waitress was extremely friendly and accommodating. That made the night. Since it was my birthday and I don't eat dessert, they brought me a complimentary glass of champagne. That was perfect. I felt taken care of. For food, Ronnald and I shared everything. We had the Chicken Al Pastor and it worked really well as a shared dish. Good flavor, not heavy, easy to eat and still feel good afterward. We also shared the Grilled Lettuce which was surprisingly one of the best things on the table. For me, the meal felt light, which I liked for that night. If I went back, I would probably try the short rib for two with spring onions and pickles for $64. Not because I wasn't satisfied, I was. Decides to try the place everyone keeps talking about. The place has been transformed into a non-stuffy upscale restaurant. The ambiance there is amazing inside and outside. The service was great. Didn't feel rushed at all and I went on a Friday night. The server explained everything on the menu and gave recommendations for food and drink. We had the Duck, the steak, the corn bread and the crab tostadas. Here is where I took a star off and it's likely personal preference: I think its very odd that they advertise to be very gluten-free friendly but the menu is not labeled with any gluten-free items. The corn bread is very cute but it tastes very average. It came with an agave butter that didn't taste like agave at all. There was just nothing special about the it, just cute. The crab tostada was good. There was a decent amount of crab... needed a sprinkle of salt. The steak was good, perfectly cooked. I didn't love the coffee rub that it came with... not bad just not my preference. The Duck was absolutely delicious, super tender, flavorful and the star of the night. It came with a few tortillas as well. I would go back but I'm not in any rush. read more

June is a great new spot in Thornton Park. I love the overall ambiance and vibe of the restaurant. On a Friday night we had about a 30-40 minute wait without reservations, and we opted for a patio table which is much quieter than indoors. The menu is a little confusing at first glance (and I wish there were pictures or descriptions of these unique dishes to help visualize) but the server was very helpful in explaining and answering questions. Most items on the menu are meant to be shared whether it's tapas style or more appetizers/then entrees style, that's up to you. We tried the salsa sampler with fresh avocado, cornbread (the butter was amazing), hanger steak for 2, and ahi tuna. Everything was delicious! The steak for 2 was a little visually underwhelming at first (it looked a bit small and we didn't realize it didn't come with any type of sides), but it was cooked and seasoned perfectly and honestly ended up being the perfect amount since we were having other small plates. Even though the place was busy, the ambiance felt calm and relaxed--which I really appreciate as someone who gets easily overstimulated. The cocktails were fantastic, and the food was incredibly fresh and flavorful. Most of the menu is gluten-free, which is a huge plus for someone like me who's supposed to avoid gluten. I'm still dreaming about the Wagyu tostadas and that corn! Every salsa was packed with flavor, and you could tell how much care went into making them. It's rare to find a restaurant where pretty much everything hits a 10/10, but this place absolutely did. The aesthetic is stunning--light, airy, and gives you that dreamy Tulum vibe. We ordered the fish tacos, and they were perfect--the fish was super crispy, the tortilla tasted homemade, and the coleslaw had this bright, lemony crunch that brought it all together. But the real star of the show was the eggs and short rib. Wow. Just wow. The short rib was unbelievably tender and flavorful, and the eggs were cooked exactly right--and I'm very picky about my eggs. These were perfection. If I had to give one piece of constructive feedback, it would be about the Wagyu tostadas. They tasted good, but they were tiny, the presentation felt underwhelming, and despite being described as truffle, there really wasn't any noticeable truffle flavor. They came out on a very small plate with nothing to elevate the look, so much so that I didn't even realize the server had set them down at first. A little attention to both flavor and plating would go a long way for this one. Overall, I would absolutely recommend this spot and will definitely be coming back! read more

The menu wasn't overly extravagant but seriously everything we had was so good. We focused mainly on the shareable plates and didn't do any of the main entrées, but I would like to go back and try some of them. The stars of the items we had were the fried chicken, the avocado, the sweet potato, and the fish taco. I didn't particularly love any of the cocktail menu, but the rest of my group did. It seems like the menu may change a little more frequently than a typical restaurant, although I'm not sure how frequently. Our server was super friendly and great, and let us sit there and yap away but was also still really present and helpful. The place was really busy, and rightfully so. This restaurant has been getting a lot of buzz and the menu looks great. I went during the soft opening with some co-workers and had a chance to taste a lot of items. We did make a reservation and the only area available was outside. The space is beautiful, especially in contrast to the previous restaurants that have occupied the space. The transformation is pretty impressive. There are lots of live plants and the vibe is really nice, although it's a bit dark. Service was prompt, friendly, and attentive. My group tried the banana, blackberry, and watermelon cocktails. All were fresh tasting and not too sweet. Water is brought to the table automatically which is appreciated. We tried the waygu, crab, and tuna tostadas. The waygu is served Carpaccio style which was unexpected. Although I liked it, the person who ordered it was disappointed that it was raw. The crab was good, even if a little plain. The same goes for the tuna. It was just tuna with ponzu and sesame seeds and needed some contrast. Maybe some micro greens or a sauce with acid and/or spice. The cornbread was good but nothing special. The esquites were a mix of pureed and whole corn that was tasty and a good sized portion. The lettuces looked really appealing but again lacked flavor contrast. They were pretty one note and needed acid or a cheese stronger than ricotta salata. Masa dumplings were pretty good. The carrots were the stand out dish and rated the highest by everyone in my group. There's a great variety of flavors (sweet, nutty, smoky, tangy, creamy) and I would come back just for these. We also tried the coconut cake which was very yummy and the pineapple cake which was good but not as good as the coconut and much smaller. Overall, the quality was good but the flavors were lacking on several dishes and portions are small for the price. Some tweaking of menu descriptions would also help as some are a bit ambiguous or not that helpful (esquites are described as puree). We had a lovely date night at June. The main reason for the 3 out of 5 stars is due to service being a bit wonky and only 2 things we had made us say maybe we'll come back. The space is stunning. From decor and music it was absolutely beautiful. I will say parking was a bit difficult so due plan ahead and arrive early. We enjoyed dinner in the lounge area which was nice but I would recommend trying to get a reservation in the dining room. It took quite some time to be greeted. Once we were greeted the server(s) were attentive. The watermelon cocktail was screaming my name but sadly was a let down and tasted more like an agua Fresca mocktail. However, the cocktails were redeemed with their espresso martini which tasted like a tiramisu, divine. And the pineapple cocktail was absolutely perfect. We have an avocado allergy so we could not have the guacamole item with all the salsas. We did opt for the Wagyu tostada which was perfect, truly no notes. Thinly sliced Wagyu on top of a Homemade tostada. There seemed to be an aioli as the "glue", topped with thinly sliced Wagyu and topped with a lovely chimichurri. It was so delicious we had to order another. This is where the service got a bit strange. All evening we had two servers who seemed like the primary server for our table. Things started to get lost in translation. The second order took quite some time. We requested an extra salsa which never came. Our second drink order also took some time to arrive. We did also order the short rib which the server recommended. I'd have to say, hard pass. The tortillas were perfect, the presentation was beautiful. The short rib was under seasoned, very fatty. The accompaniments were bland. The "pickles" seemed half way pickled, the salsa was bland. For our main it was pretty underwhelming. I'd say it's a great place to dine family style. Came here on a Friday night for dinner. I have walked by numerous times and have seen it crowded on a regular basis. So this Friday I decided to stop and try it. Food was very good. I had the tostada avocado with the salsa board and then shared their fish dinner along with a bottle of wine. The food was good, the environment is very active and loud, but it was good energy. My only complaint was I found it to be a bit expensive. For two people we shared one appetizer and shared one dish with the cheapest bottle of red wine they had and it was $140. It seems to be the trendy place at this point and people are willing to pay for it, but it was a little bit more than I wanna pay for one appetizer of tostadas and one piece of fish. I made it very clear to our waiter: NO CILANTRO!!!!! Our guacamole came buried in cilantro so I sent it back. The kitchen scooped the cilantro off the top and sent us back a half order of guacamole. I should have sent that back too. Our hanger steak was tasty but was supposed to be for 2 people. I could have easily eaten this small steak myself.
