One of my favorite taco joints. We have been to several Florida locations and the one in Boulder, CO. The relaxed atmosphere and friendly wait staff is perfect for a great fresh squeezed margarita or cold can of beer. The outside patios have been great. The pork belly and fish tacos are my favorites with the triple dips and chips. I wish they would open one in St Lucie or Martin County, Florida. We will visit this Orlando location every time we are in town. Make sure you stop by and give them a try. Enjoy!

Good food! Each taco individually is fairly cheap and sides are a good single serving amount. Nothing to write home about but definitely would go back if someone invited me.

We arrived around 4 on Sunday to our surprise this place was not that busy. We were able to be seated right away. The menu is on the smaller side, but the prices are affordable. The server was great. Although we did not get a drink the bar tender was making them with his heart and soul. They looked great. Our food was probably 4 out of 5. The tacos were stuffed and the meat portions was good. My carne asada beef was very dry. My chicken verde was very very good. No complaints on the Baja fish, sesame ribeye or the duck taco. The duck taco was by far the best. We did not feel rushed. The place was clean and welcoming. We hope to stop back by when we are in Orlando again.

Always enjoy this place but I did like that I could walk in and order from my phone and now you have to wait for a server. It took quite a while to get our orders and to get them on the table but everything was delicious and I will always be back. The key lime pie dessert is definitely a winner.

Bartaco is one of our usual spots both in Orlando and in our hometown. We almost always go to it when we are in Orlando and like many before, this trip did not disappoint either. The service was great and our family of five was seating quickly. We had some of our usual items and a few new things like the lobster tacos. If you've never had bar taco, you are missing out on some great in house margaritas, tacos, and come amazing appetizers.

I love this place. Their food and drinks are amazing. They have inside and outside seating. The inside is open as well. The service was wet attentive. The only minus for me is it is a little pricey for what you get.

We came here for a quick happy hour after work and ended up sitting down and staying a while! Started with a small group of us at the bar and they had great happy hour options. Bartender was super friendly and helpful. We got a couple of small bites with our drink here. Eventually moved to a table outside which was so nice and we had a couple of people join, and we had a great time. I don't love ordering via the app but love the option to pay that way and split it up. Our server was patient with our large group and very nice and no complaints from anyone on the food/drinks front. I had to end the night with churros, which were delicious! The ambiance is super cute and natural, and it's just the perfect way to spend a beautiful night outside.

We are never let down on Bartaco visits. We don't have them back home so we do search them out on trips. Because we aren't able to visit regularly we definitely overeat. I always recommend the carafe of Arnold Palmer. So refreshing. We literally get everything. My husband is obsessed with the cucumber salad... this visit it was extra spicy which he loved. I always get the guac... it is some of the best ever. And I love the quesadillas off of the kids menu... this time I added beans for extra protein. We tried almost all of the tacos. The pork belly is always my favorite. This time we also tried "new" flavors... carne asada and Yucatán shrimp along with the al pastor tacos. All of these were delightful. I was obsessed that you now can skip the tortilla and get your taco served in a lettuce bib. The Al pastor had SO much flavor. And the Yucatán shrimp was an amazing blend of so many flavors but the habanero plantain puree does deliver a little bit of a sting. We will definitely be back.

Celebrated cinco de mayo at bartaco and got to try their happy hour menu. Our favorite was the chicken flautas! Everything was good. I would probably skip the crispy rice next time. But i am obsessed with everything at bar taco from the drinks to the food to the ambiance! The service has been incredible and attentive despite it being so busy. It's a walk in service with a big parking lot. I love you bartaco

We had a great experience again at this Bart and Dr. Phillips. Tamra B. was extremely prompt, friendly, and very knowledgeable with all the menu items and how to accommodate food sensitivities such as soy, gluten and dairy. My wife's chicken verde tacos, the roasted duck taco, and the campechano taco were all good; however, the standout was the chicken Verde tacos. my pork belly classic bowl was good and tasty. Do you know that Bartaco has transitioned to a non-fried brown rice base versus the previously very tasty fried cake white rice. This 'made the dish' in the past so I hope that they eventually bring it back in another season. The dish was still good; but, not epic as it was before. With 107° heat dome, sitting above Orlando and most of the US, the restaurant was still quite cold, which was very appreciated. I would recommend bringing in a light jacket if you have one handy. The music was quite loud so, in anticipation of this, we had noise canceling inserts to as a solution. Overall, a good experience at this, one of our go-to high-quality and high-service restaurants.

Bar Taco is absolutely amazing. The place serves tapa style appetizers and tacos. The ambiance of this place is that of coastal vibes, a restaurant nestled near the ocean and beach. The service was stellar and attentive to our every need. The food is full of flavor as well as the Tres aleches dessert.

10/10 always. BarTaco is one of my all-time favorite restaurants, and the Dr. Phillips location never misses. I've been to the Tampa, atlanta, and Orlando spot, and the food, service, and vibe are always on point. The fish tacos are crispy, flavorful, and perfectly paired with that creamy slaw and cilantro. The ambiance is relaxed but stylish, the staff is friendly and quick, and everything feels so consistent no matter where you go. I absolutely love this place it's easily one of my go-to restaurants every time.

This was my first visit to Bar Taco. It took a while before someone came to wait on me. It wasn't explained that you could order from the QR code or that you needed to place the sign up when you needed assistance. So that was frustrating. I ordered the corn off the cob, a fish taco and a mojo pork taco. Honestly the food is nothing to write home about. The fish should have been shredded or pieces in the taco. The food definitely needed more seasoning in my opinion. The restaurant didn't have anything that really set it apart from the basic taco places. I had high hopes but was disappointed.

Do you have gluten free options?

Hi Trisha, Yes we have gluten free options. Most of our menu is gluten free and the items that have gluten are noted. You can also view our menu at bartaco.com. See you soon! Patrick, GM

    Is there a happy hour?

No but occasionally they do specialty drinks like the whole month of March being a different specialty margarita every week.

Is the outdoor seating dog friendly?

Yes it is! I just called to confirm.

Hey ya, any specials for Taco Tuesday? Thank you!!

There sadly aren't any Taco Tuesday specials...I was just here this past Tuesday and no specials (outside of drink happy hour specials) were offered.

Do they use any peanut oil when cooking?

    Canola or olive oil only

Disclaimer: this review is for the lunch buffet only…read more I went with my family to try the $18.49 all you can eat lunch buffet. This was my first time experiencing a buffet for hispanic food and for this price point in Orlando, this is an amazing value deal. The server regularly brought us out silverware, napkins, and refilled our water. The place is decorated very fun and plays latin music which was lovely Not only was there an unlimited assortment of lunch foods, but an entire bar of fresh toppings for tacos (or rice bowls) and made to order desserts which were included for free! Not everything on the buffet line was the best but given the amount of options, price, and how good the great items are this is still worth a five star rating. I unfortunately did not take pictures of the food before I began devouring everything in sight to the point of near-collapse, but I will do a quick rundown of the buffet highlights: The best meats were the fajita steak, chicken, and shrimp made fresh in cast iron skillets, as well as the chicken lengua which was super flavorful and tender. The mexican rice, beans, fajitas, plantains, and street corn were also excellent. Fresh quesadillas, chips, and corn tortillas on standby with homemade queso and salsas. The flan and mini churros were the best I've ever had. Super rich, decadent Carmel flan. Mini churros hot and crisp on the outside, filled with a gooey soft milk chocolate center. They were delicious. Items that were disappointing: the tamales, mini chicken flautas, and beef chimichangas were just okay, lacking the seasoning and flavor that other dishes had. The beef barbacoa was not as tender or flavorful as the shredded chicken surprisingly. The mixed seafood was itself a mixed bag with some shrimps / scallops overcooked to much while others were perfectly cooked. The chicken mole and beef tri tip were room temperature despite sitting on hot plates. The tri tip also varied widely in doneness throughout the slices and not super tender. The rice pudding was pretty standard, and the tres leches cake was weird as they crumbled the cake into pieces before soaking it.

Service & Ordering Ordering started off fine, and one employee was genuinely helpful. Unfortunately, the rest of the staff interactions were the opposite. The drink options are extremely limited -- mostly bottled items -- and what's pictured on the menu is not what you actually receive. Misleading Drink Advertising I paid over $3 for the branded Talkin' Tacos water shown on the menu. Instead, the employee handing out food dropped two tiny Pure Life bottles, one of the cheapest waters you can buy. My wife and I were shocked. This felt like false advertising and set the tone for the rest of the visit. Incorrect Order & Staff Attitude My food came out with sour cream, which is not listed as a topping for the item I ordered. I don't eat dairy, and when I pointed it out, the employee grabbed the tray, walked off, then came back and shoved it in front of me while insisting "this is what you selected." Completely unprofessional. The helpful employee stepped in and offered to remake it, but by then the experience was already ruined. Food Quality The food itself was bland and lacked flavor. My son barely ate his meal and said it wasn't good, which says a lot about the overall quality. Overall Value Between the misleading drink presentation, rude staff interaction, incorrect order, and mediocre food, Talkin' Tacos simply isn't worth the price. With better taco options nearby, I won't be returning to this location.

I bought 3 chicken tacos (about 12 dollars), then sat in an empty table to wait. It was ready for me in under 10 minutes. The tacos were small, but they had a good amount of chicken, cheese, onions, tomato, and cilantro. A choice of sauce was included, and I took the hot red sauce. The sauce was small, but still ample enough to pour over the three tacos. The flavors were pretty good (thanks to the heat from the sauce) and it was filling enough for me, though the flour tortillas was a bit too hard for me. The service was pretty good, though I ordered from the kiosk and I picked up my order after they called my name. However, they did check up on me, as well a provided water to cops, and removed empty items from the tables. The staff were quite friendly. The dining area was small and a bit boring. There were 2TVs showing ads for their products, and 1 displaying a horse race. The restaurant was quite cramped, and I was thankful to find a table. It's located in downtown, so parking will be either in a meter or a garage. This restaurant serves pretty good tacos at a reasonable price, but the atmosphere was a bit bland for a taqueria. It was also small and can get crowded and full easily. Best to have this to go or delivered. It's still a nice restaurant for tacos in downtown.
