Upon arriving in Orlando for work, I sought out good reviews for the best tacos and this place came up, so I drove straight here. I got here on a Friday, right at the start of lunchtime and they weren't busy. I ordered a beef and a chicken taco with beans and rice. The tacos were just OK, nothing special. Hardly any spice/flavor to them. The salsas were decent; they let you get them yourself from the cooler in the dining room. The beans were really runny and also not very flavorful and the rice was decent. Everything tasted much better when doused in their spicy salsa. Overall, rather disappointing compared to authentic tacos I've had in TX and CA, especially those from southern Texas. read more

They have a big variety of meat including tripas and lengua along with carne asada and pollo. Rice is delicious. I stopped her for lunch on Cinco de Mayo and despite how busy it was, service was amazingly quick! This a family business which I loved! You can just feel at home when you walk in and see the open kitchen flaming with orders. Everything on the menu was authentic! I ordered a flautas combo, a quesabirria, and a passion fruit juice. Showed up here on a Saturday after getting coffee next door. We saw that on Saturday's they have a breakfast menu and decided to try the cheese tamale meal and the Mexican eggs mean (with chorizo). Both were very good and also a good price point for the portion size. The Mexican eggs were a little too spicy for me (because I'm soft) since it has an insane amount of jalapeños. Tamales were solid and not dry which is a plus. I will definitely come back again to try some more plates! read more

My boyfriend ordered the tamale combo and chose pork tamales. The food was ready quickly. They have an area where you can add different hot sauces and veggie toppings if desired. I grabbed some salsa verde which was good and some cilantro for my tacos and rice. The beans were flavored nicely and tasty. The rice was okay, a bit salty for my personal preference, but not bad. The tacos were basic. The steak was cooked nicely, but not a huge pop of flavor. The birria was also just okay; not similar to birria I've had in other places that I enjoyed more. My boyfriend enjoyed his food well enough, but overall we both just found it average. Not bad, but not great either. It's an okay spot if you're in the area. I'd say these are pretty authentic tasting tacos. We only tried carne asada and it was great. The meat had a nice char on the outside and was still juicy. The chicken tamale I had was good but it wasn't very flavorful. Maybe next time I'll try with beef to see if it has more flavor. The masa of the tamale was a nice consistency.
