A family owned Mexican Business. I have been eating here for a couple years now and the food is authentic and so satisfying. Tuesday they run a special Taco tuesdays. They have horchata and jarito sodas. My favorites include the birria tacos, made to order guacamole with house made chips, shrimp cocktail, menudo. There are so many choices. One of my latest dishes I tried was garlic shrimp with rice and beans. It was so delicious and you get your own little container of tortillas to DIY tacos as you go. So amazing. I grew up having all kinds of Mexican food. From traditional to Tex-Mex to Baja. We asked for salsa and they brought us queso. We asked for just water and they brought us 18 dollars worth of water bottles. Our food was void of any flavor and cost an arm and a leg to acquire. I got the birria tacos. While I was pleasantly surprised at how affordable they were, there seems to be a discrepancy with the menu. I was under the impression they came with beans and rice but they don't. The salsa wasn't my favorite but the tacos were exceptional. Nice little local spot, but the service wasn't the greatest. I am astonished that this place is so inexpensive! We got enchiladas for 10.99 which has four enchiladas and rice and beans. Tacos for 2.99 and they are just delectable. They are very authentic if you are looking for a real mexican meal. Great staff in the place as well; service is amazing and very sweet people. The place is very nice and small and quiet. It's a hole in the wall near a laundry mat and it's the best Mexican traditional food. Everything was real and delicious! Home made tasting and I saved this place as a favorite. Prices are less than 15$ a plate average $10. The owner was so nice she came to the table and asked why my daughter wasn't eating and I told her she's vegan and she started thinking and came up with a whole vegan meal for her! This is your typical small, hole in the wall Mexican Restaurant, just like the ones I was used to in Nashville. No regrets at all! Don't let the shady area get you. I love this place! This is my go to place for lunch during work. Their portions are relatively big and shareable. I always go with one of my colleague and we always order the same thing. I always get the nachos with chicken. You can get anything on the nachos that's available for the tacos. I have tried every single one and the chicken is by far the best one, no fail. Fajitas is also a good to share dish. I did did chicken. If you don't like chicken, then the chorizo is the next best thing. The steak is decent for the fajitas, not the nachos. I love this place! It is the best price for the food for lunch! read more

Yea, I'm sort of a fan. They could be one of my new favorite Mexican places! Everybody's so friendly and nice. Warm and welcoming. And with the open kitchen, you kinda sorta of feel like you're in someone's home. Until very recently, for me, the only very best Mexican was found in a flea market food truck in DeLand but this is almost on the level. Oh, and there's not much of a language barrier here too as sometimes can be with small Mexican places, Spanish and English menus on spot. $1.50 tacos are always awesome, and these are tender juicy plump ones. (Pork or chicken ) the pork one is well seasoned. Chicken tamale doesn't taste like anything. Try it with their sauces. If you like spicy then use the red bottle. Otherwise the green bottle is a cilantro sauce and has just a tiny bit of spice. Drinks - pineapple, horchata (rice milk), and Jamaica( hibiscus tea). I ordered the shrimp fajitas to share with my friend. It comes with 4 corn tortilla. The shrimp was good. The tortilla edges were a bit hard and dry. The plaza seems a bit shady (there's metal bars on the windows) but the restaurant is spacious inside and clean. read more

If I could give this place 4 1/2 stars I would. It's not completely 5 stars because the ambience in the restaurant isn't that great, but everything else is top tier. The staff is very friendly and patient, which was needed since I don't speak a lick of Spanish. And lets get into these tacos! Amazingggg! I ordered the birria tacos to go and they were perfect. I was rolling my eyes to the back of my head the entire time I was eating it. There's nothing bad at all to say about this meal. This place is the cutest little Mexican restaurant! My boyfriend and I got takeout from there. We got the meat tacos and the chicken crispy flautas that come with rice and beans. When you pull it know that they have a shared parking lot. Don't let the neighborhood scare you if you new in town, we had no trouble here. The restaurant was clean, well taken care of for an older building. I love the decorations and theme very nice touch and had some class to it. Our server was very nice and tried to help us as best she could and always had a smile on her face. They have a nice selection of food, but you get your best offerings on weekends, the menu is expanded then and you have some great choices for authentic Mexican food. For the food I ordered it was all delicious. It has a clean, fresh taste to it. You will not get a lot of spices or seasoning, only the taste of the ingredients of the dish you order. I will say I immediately when my food arrived felt like they use to own a food truck and moved to a brick and mortar building. I say that because, they serve the foods on styrofoam plates with plastic forks and knives. This usually happens when most restaurants move from truck to building. The owner is very nice and you can tell she cares about your service and food. The Chef was cool as well, even came out and you can see him, very approachable Chef. The costs were within reason the presentation of the food served was as good as it could get on styrofoam plates and plastic silverware. Delicious salsa with kick or mild if you prefer. My server showed me the section that comes with rice and beans, I ordered an item from that section to find out it in fact doesnt come with rice and beans. Then I went to pay and was overcharged $5 when my meal was supposed to only be $9, then when I asked why I got overcharged she stuttered and didnt really have a straight forward answer. Do not recommend coming here especially if you arent Hispanic, they see this as an opportunity to overcharge thinking you wont question it. Commenting on the fact of the food and not the service being that this was a DoorDash order , so I ordered the chilaquiles and birria tacos ... portion size good ! But flavor wise no ! Birria tacos legitimately had no flavor except for the onions and cilantro.. the sauce wasn't tasty either at that point it was just oil in a cup which was disappointing The Chilaquiles were flavorless as well , only thing that came to aid in the dish was the salsa verde but it was just uhh not that good in my opinion Only reason I'm giving this place a two star rating is cause of the portions but that's about it. You might be tempted to come here because of the phenomenal joint down the block, tortas el rey. I am here to tell you, do not bother, this is the type of place that after receiving the food, you'll feel it's your duty to make a review to warn others. Luckily they did not have lengua (tongue) today, I could only imagine how they prepare it. Only assuming they prepare the meat to look exactly like their tripe. Tried this place using amazon restaurants. It was quite good and the prices were great. I got Shrimp a la diavola and it was only $9.99 and came with 14 or so shrimp! The sauce was nice and spicy, a little oily but still good. It didn't come with a lot of rice and beans but it was still plenty of food. I also got a sope with cactus and it was good too and only $2. My dad got the fish ( a la plancha) and it was supposed to be grilled but the one we received was fried so be aware of that! Not sure if it was just a mix up. The fish tasted nice and fresh at least. Thanks to our fellow Yelps we turned away from one restaurant to this one. This is a place that you can not judge from the outside but from the reviews of what's going on inside. The chef is serious about his creations as much as I am about eatting great mexican food! The plates were served with details of a great cook behind them. The cheese was authentic. Everything was spectacular! I only wish my stomach was bigger!! The portions are great, especially at the price point. The interior is exactly what you'd expect from a little hole-in-the wall Mexican eatery. Mexican flags and sombreros litter the walls in a beautiful fashion. They even took the time to celebrate three holidays a little bit with a small Xmas tree and a a nativity set with the table cloths all adorning snowflakes or holly in a red or green background. I ordered the Al Pastor, Pollo, Chorizo y Cecina. It was hard to rate them since they were equally delicious. Just as an observation, the mild sauce (salsa verde) was not spicy at all, and I'm a baby with spicy stuff, but it added a great flavor to it. You know a restaurant is authentic, when you see people from the same country as the restaurant eating there... bc that's what taste like home, not a tex-mex restaurant with fancy sign out the door. Finally authentic Mexican street tacos in Orlando! This restaurant is very unassuming in a small shopping center which gives it some charm. There is a large seating area and a smaller one near the kitchen. The service was friendly and quick. Tacos were excellent.
