Very pretty location. The inside decor is warm and inviting, the tile backsplash is very nice. The added neon lights on the bar and the plant decor makes the scene very lively however, after letting the server know my food, allergies, and ordering what I got, my stomach has been doing somersaults since eating my food. I don't know if it necessarily doesn't agree with me or if it's the meat I had was not cooked properly, but I do not feel good. However, the drink I had was really good. It was the coconut margarita for $13, they do have a lunch menu apart from all their other options on their food menu. I do also know they have a really cool happy hour. This was actually my second time here, I thought I wrote a review the first time, but it's not here, so ... Came here with family. After a brief wait at the hostess stand (which was not staffed), we were seated. We started by getting some guac to go with the chips. It was very chunky (as in, pieces of avocado in a mash), which was unique, but a little hard to pick up with chips. I had the Vallarta Quesadilla, with salmon, shrimp and crab meat. It was tasty, but the seafood didn't especially shine. Served with assorted grilled veggies and white rice. (Menu says Mexican rice; and another family member also got white rather than Mexican rice: out early in the evening??) (The first time I came here, I had the molcajete: a large, stone mortar filled with various grilled meats and veggies: very good, I had to take some (half?) home.) The wife and I were in the Hunters Creek area, we were in the mood for Mexican Food. We decided to try this new spot. We liked the ambiance, it is very nice, inviting and appealing. The decoration was well thought of. We came during early dinner hour, so the place was not as full. I have no complaints about the service, it was with a reason time in getting our order and food. The food was tasteful. To begin with, we had nacho and salsa with our adult drinks. We decided that we wanted to have the Anejo Sampler, it brought a little of Shredded Chicken Nachos, Taquitos, Beef Chimichanga, Cheese Quesadilla and a Beef and Been Cheese Dip. Additionally, we had a Chimichurri Taco, which is Skirt Steak Taco. We were satisfied with order and look forward to coming back to try some more delicious food. Last night, we filled Añejo with joy as we celebrated our official business announcement and ribbon-cutting. We enjoyed delicious appetizers that we had thoughtfully arranged on a previous visit, and while the bar setup wasn't quite what we expected at first, the drinks were strong, flavorful, and worth the wait once everything was clarified. I only wish that orders for drinks had started from the jump, only because I know there would have been far more sales on that end from my group. The restaurant itself is absolutely stunning--everyone in our group kept saying how beautiful the space felt. Not only did they enjoy staying for dinner after the ribbon-cutting, but many are already excited to come back again. Most of our guests stayed well into the evening, making the restaurant lively and full of energy on a Wednesday night that would normally be much quieter. In fact, aside from our celebration, only a handful of other families were dining on the opposite side. My heart is so full knowing that we were able to bring life, business, and celebration to this beautiful new spot in the Hunter's Creek area. Just tried Añejo, the newest New Mexican spot in town and it was worth the wait! From the moment we walked in, the vibe was warm, colorful, modern, and inviting. We started with some chips and salsa and they were perfectly crisp and salsa was perfect consistency. Also tried the birria flatbread and it was so flavor and big enough to be a meal. For the main course, I had the carnitas enchiladas slow-cooked pork and it was tender, flavorful, and had just the right kick. For drinks I tried the house margarita and it was refreshing and strong. We stopped in for a quick bite to eat after going to the cute outdoor market in the street area. We were one of the first people to go into the restaurant as it was getting close to lunch. We were greeted promptly at the door and taken to our table by a nice gentleman. Warm crunchy chips and salsa were placed on our table. We ordered the chicken empanadas which came quickly and presented well. They were very delicious with tender juicy chicken inside. The shell was the perfect texture and flavor. Wanted some Mexican food and we were near Disney/sea world, we didn't want anything near I-Drive. This place came up and the reviews and food looked good. I get Don Julios vibes here. Let me start by saying that I have dined at this location and the winter park location before I was a member of the yelp team and each time I would say the food was a 5, however this visit it was more of a 3.5. We went in for lunch and I ordered the "create your own" plate with a crunchy beef taco and a shredded chicken enchilada. I found the chicken dry and the beef lacking flavor, but again that was this visit and I will return because of my other positive experiences. Our server was wonderful, Marla greeted us immediately, was personable and kept our drinks filled. Our long anticipated wait had finally come to an end. We came for dinner on Saturday night. The restaurant was clean, bright and inviting. However, the temperature inside was a little warmer than you'd expect for a newly opened restaurant. Our server came over to welcome us in Spanish, but realized we only spoke English afterwards. She was very nice, a little nervous I could tell. We placed our order - queso to start, 3 chicken tacos for my son, and my husband and I ordered the chicken and steak fajitas to share. Surprisingly, when our food came out, our server came over to tell us they only had chicken available and that she would adjust our bill to reflect that price. I thought that was kind of weird but we didn't even notice at first. We decided to add an order of street corn which was really good. The fajitas were filling and plentiful for 2 people, but was lacking a little in flavor. The chicken and vegetables were grilled perfectly but I wish it had been seasoned a little more. Felt like trying something different, so gave new location a try. Both my husband and I tried the chimichangas. He had the steak, and I had the grilled shrimp. The steak was good, but I absolutely loved the shrimp! First place I've been that offered shrimp in a chimichanga- usually it's just some form of beef or chicken, and I loved the shrimp in it! Salsa and chips were great, chips served slightly salty and just the right warm temperature, while salsa had a nice bright flavor of fresh cilantro.
