I went with my husband and 3 of my children my two youngest wanted two different kids menu items but wanted to split it. I asked if they could do it in the kitchen for us because we were sitting five to a four top table. My waitress told me "No". The food was just ok. I had the Ranchero Steak. I ordered it medium it was definitely well done. The Guacamole was very good. I enjoyed the potatoes. The fruit was good and fresh. My husband had a really good sandwich it was messy though. It was one of the specials bacon, egg, tomato, and avocado. I like to rate a place based on whether I would go again. It's been a while since I've been here and oh, I am soooo craving a Lavash Press with Chicken right now!! Yumm.. delicious sundried tomatoes and chicken all melted in mozarella cheese goodness! and the sauce that comes with it! I can never get enough.. the sauce reminds me of a guacamole/avocado salsa... creamy, but oh so good! The taste here is always consistent. I've also had their tuna sandwich, their salads, and their pastas, and omelettes, all of which taste really good! I can't wait to try other items on their menu... if only I could stop myself from ordering the Lavash Press with chicken most of the time!! haha I love their atmosphere of being able to sit outside on their patio underneath a big umbrella on a bright sunny day sipping on water or iced tea. Sometimes the service could be slow since there are usually only about 3 servers and when they're inside, but when they're outside, they're usually pretty attentive. But the food is great and even the bread they give as an appetizer with the olive mix/dip is fantastic! I can't say enough good things! I just wish they'd open longer (past lunch time.. or do they do that now?), and was less crowded so I can always get a table outside... but I'm definitely a regular returning customer!! read more

We went out to breakfast at Jumpin Java because the reviews on Yelp were decent and it was close to where I left my car the night before. I got the "breakfast combo" which was decent, but probably over priced. The coffee was good, as was the bacon and potatoes. The eggs were not great. It was crowed and we were lucky to get a table outside. I know breakfast is something people wait for on a Sunday, but the inside of this place is small, and not at all pleasing. This is one of the best breakfast places I have been to. When my friend and I got there, it seemed like we may wait a while for a table because there were quite a few people waiting outside, but we were seated within 10 minutes. The service is quick. They immediately brought over our espresso drinks (which were strong and delicious). I ordered the Chef's Egg Sandwich. The baguette was soft, the eggs were fluffy, the mushrooms were tasty and the cheese wasn't overwhleming. Just the right amount of cheese. The homestyle potatoes have got to be the best thing about the plate though. Yum! My friend ordered the California Omelette. We couldn't quite tell what was "California" about it, but my friend still loved it. Some avocado perhaps would have made it California-ish, but I'm sure you can order it on the side. This lil' hidden gem in the valley is one of the best places to go for breakfast in the area! The Cinnamon Kiss french toast is borderline orgasmic! You have to try it! Although the name of this place leads you to believe you can only get coffee, they're coffee is not at all up to par... Maybe order a latte instead. The service is also pretty iffy from time to time, but the unbelievably robust flavors of the food makes up for that! read more

Great service. I only got the Eggplant Press Sandwich and Iced Coffee, but their service was wonderful, and that warrants a high review and a return visit to try more of their food. The sandwich was tasty, IMO. Vegetables were flavorful, and the bread was perfectly crispy. I read that their brunch/breakfast food items are good, so when I have more of a sweet tooth, I'll definitely have to try them out. Outside seating and indoor seating. The Canadian bacon just felt so heavy and was basically the only taste (and it tasted rubbery and unpleasant). My friend and I couldn't cut through the English muffin even after asking for a steak knife! The hollandaise sauce was too lemony, I like mine with a little cayenne bite to it. The home style potatoes that came with it were pretty good. I wish they were crispy though, it all ended up tasting like mush. Overall, a 3.5 star experience. Love this place! This has been my "go-to" spot for over 17 years, when I first arrived in Los Angeles. You cannot resist the Paris Toast here! Ummm, ummm good with the French baguettes dipped in egg batter, topped with powdered sugar. I happen to LOVE my choices of sauteed bananas/strawberries on top. Scrumptious! You gotta try it. I had the Paris Toast with fresh strawberries which I would recommend. My friend had a spinach and something omelet. We each had a side of bacon. Plus a latte and an iced tea. The iced tea was delicious and had unlimited refills and they were prompt in refilling my glass. Total with gratuity was $38. There are also lunch items and many salads on the menu. Upon leaving my friend asked if she could get a to-go cup for the remainder of her latte. The waitress brought it as well as a to-go iced tea for me. Many stars for that. read more

After 90 minutes of sweaty cardio hell at Dove's Bodies, I was ready for some eggy, meaty carby goodness. My friends are regulars and one waiter (Carlos or Carlitos?) came out to give them a hug. How often does that happen in LA? We had to wait a few minutes for a table, and then a few more minutes to take our order but no biggie. The tables were cramped which lead to a tragic water spill, but we made due. Coffee was good, but my hot latte was strangely absent of foam. My breakfast burrito with bacon and lavash bread ($9.95) was delicious- not at all greasy and packed full of egg, crisp thick bacon and potatoes. Not sure why the lavash press is $2 more, since it seemed like the same dish, just with the potatoes on the side. Hmmm. First of all, the food is very good and always served hot. But the name suggests that you can get coffee here. You can get coffee. It's the worst coffee out of any and all cafes, restaurants and diners ...other than I think two diners that had the worse coffee ever. This is my go-to for breakfast in the valley. The food is prepared with lots of attention and fresh foods. The breakfast potatoes are real potatoes and they don't deep fry them... good start. In fact, the potatoes here are one of my favorite things. The orange juice is fresh squeezed and all the food here is pretty legit. There is something on the menu for everyone from super healthy to cinnamon french toast. Breakfast, lunch and dinner are all available as well as a coffee menu. I would call this way more of a restaurant than a coffee bar, so don't let the name fool you. Personally, I love the breakfast omelettes because I like to eat healthy, but I've ordered lunch and dinner and been just as satisfied. I read a few of the other reviews, and I honestly believe that these people just have not been to some of the other amazing breakfast places in the valley.
