I was headed to another place when I spotted their sign out of the corner of my eye. Thinking a Peruvian place "may" have plantains I quickly pivoted to Julitos instead. Overall, I am glad that I did. The plantains were delicious and so were the steak fries. I appreciated the spicy and savory sauces they provided. They added some flavor to the white rice and also the chicken sub sandwich. The sandwich have some ingredient that I couldn't quite identify and didn't particularly enjoy, but beyond those few bites of questionable flavor, it was mostly enjoyable, fresh and juicy. The half chicken was seasoned well and, while the meat could have been a tad more juicy, it was nevertheless good. The rice pudding was average at best, but the totality of the meal was enjoyable. read more

I shouldn't be able to tell what kind of cleaning supplies you use by tasting your food, but here we have YET AGAIN another restaurant where I can taste freakin Fabuloso in the food!!! Ughhhh. Had one bite of the pinto beans here and the dominant seasoning was---Fabuloso. It's happening more often and I wish lichens would pay attention. It's disgusting. read more

Wifey and I was craving Mexican/Peruvian food. She found this spot so off we went. It's tucked away in a small mall shopping center. Adequate parking and the staff are super friendly with no language barriers. The ambiance is great, and the food was very delicious, and everything is cooked to order. I got the tacos and wifey the quesadillas. Everything was excellent and we also got Peruvian chicken and grill chicken sandwich to go. If in the southern area of Charles County, we highly recommend this spot. We'll definitely be back!!! read more

Sooooooo I ventured here and then read the Yelp ratings & I was craving Chicken Quesadillas. I was kind of disappointed that the quesadillas didn't come as a platter and I had to buy all my sides separately...LOLy lunch today was a waping $28! So today I ordered the chicken quesadillas, and a side of corn, black beans, plantains and fried rice... My quesadillas and plantains were delicious!! Tasty...but still Guapos got it ;)))...i probably would never venture back to this part of town for them. Corn...needed some salt...my black beans needed some cilantro and Saźon seasoning (LOL)...& the fried rice was just ok.... All in all, I'll give them 3 stars. The cashier was friendly...store was clean...enjoyed the Reggaeton music that was playing...made me want to venture to Mexico for a trip! Long overdue! Happy Yelping! read more

I ordered from here today. I ordered my son a burger plain no cheese with fries. My son complained about the bread hardness and the burger patty was hard and burnt. It looked like they cooked the burger yesterday and precooked it again today. I will not be ordering burger from them again. The whole chicken and sides was decent. I'm just disappointed b/c my son was mad. read more

The food was great as usual and the service was fast, the long line was taken care of in minutes.

Great friendly customer service. The plantains always seem like they were made on a different day. The last two times I've had them they were very disappointing. The french fries are usually great 8 out of 10 times. The plantains taste old 7 out of 10. read more

Julitos Peruvian Chicken - Plantains - Peruvian Near Me - Waldorf, Maryland

Julitos Peruvian Chicken. This is supposed to be a three meat taco with pico de gallo and sour cream. I don't see no pico or the gallo yet alone sour cream. It was dry overcooked meat and a dryer or corn tortilla. Those are supposed to be pinto beans that taste like they came straight from the can. I had to add my own adobo and some Chipotle sea salt to give it at least a little bit of flavor. Don't try this place even though the menu seems good the food isn't. I love the food here. The Quesadillas have me in a chokehold and their fried rice has my daughter in one lol

I'm not a tough critic but their food was no good. The mixed vegetables tasted and looked like the frozen ones from the grocery store-no seasoning. Chicken-dry, no seasoning Plantains-no good Yuca-dry Yellow sauce has a tangy taste-no good Never would go back read more

Didn't know what to order for dinner on a Friday night so I came to Yelp for help. Saw this place had 4 stars and multiple good reviews before the bad. Boy do I wish I had kept looking. I ordered wallpa wings combo, 2 other orders of wallpa wings, 2 meat tacos with chicken and steak, fries , plantains, spinach and tres leches cake. The wings ( yeah I know who goes to order wings at a Peruvian restaurant and not somewhere who specializes in wings lol but my family picked wings from the menu) flavor was not there. The Buffalo ones were dry and the little bit of sauce seemed to be more under the foil then on the actual wings, lemon pepper barely tasted like lemon pepper, my son had bbq and they looked saucy and he didn't say there was any issue with them. The chicken itself was not bad, it was just like I ordered plain wings and they hit them with a sprinkle of seasoning. The tacos, first of all ordering 5 is not something I like to do unless I know they are good. I did not know they were on corn tortillas and I probably wouldn't have picked them had I known that. Their menu said they come with pico de gallo, sour cream, and a spicy red sauce but when I asked about it she said the sour cream and red sauce didn't come on it but pico de gallo, lettuce and cheese did. Could of used more pico de gallo on each. When I picked up my first one it literally just fell apart, same with my next 1 and a half. I was going to toss the other 2 out the next day but decided to just trash the tortilla and eat the insides which tasted much better that way. The fries are steak fries and well a box of hot fries tends to get soggy, nothing special to them. The plantains were my favorite. Spinach was good too besides the long slivers of onions, my son said it was a little salty but just the right amount of salt or something like that lol. Ohh the tres leches..I was disappointed. The texture was not right for me on the first one I ordered but when I tasted the other one I ordered 2 days later the texture was better. Im not sure if it was the 2 days or just because they were different pieces but that first one just was not it. The second wasn't it either, just better. Would I order again? Ehhh idk maybe but it would not be a first choice. BTW anyone wanting to order the wings and wondering about how many were in the 1 lb size it was like 8 or 9. read more

The food was not bad. It wasn't good either. Chicken was cooked well and very tender, but it lacked seasoning. I had the quarter dark with pinto beans, rice and coleslaw. Everything lacked seasoning down to the Cole slaw. The staff was pleasant and the establishment was clean and basic. read more

It was just ok. I wanted to try this spot since it's on my way home. The chicken was just ok. I've had better at a couple other local Peruvian spots. It just didn't seem as seasoned as I've had at other places. The fried rice was really bad. Also, I've never been to a Peruvian restaurant that served fried rice like this. It tasted stale and no flavor. Same with the pinto beans. Just mediocre and lacked seasoning. The only thing we enjoyed were the plantains, which you can't really mess up and mixing their two sauces made them delicious. Won't be back since there are two other Peruvian spots in Waldorf with great food, but glad I tried this place. read more

If I could eat here every day I would!! I've tried most of the seafood entrees and they are great! The pan seared salmon is my FAVORITE! It's so well seasoned, With the lemon slice into top.. LORD have MERCY!! Large portion sizes with a variety of sides to choose from. I love their spinach. Tonight I had a sample of the clam chowder and it's delicious!! Shrimp quesadilla is the best I've ever had! Even the salad dressing tastes authentic. The spot is clean, staff is so nice & delivery is available. And they just added TACOS, FAJITAS & LAMB to the menu! Y'all need to go on over and check them out. Support your local businesses. This place is FIRE! read more

I haven't been there in a while. When I did eat there the food was a 6 out of 10. I usually go to Sylvestre because I like there chicken better and there mild sauce is unmatched by anyone. Julitos has way better sides than Sylvestre and there yucca is delicious. The service is good and the ambiance is nothing to brag about. It's clean and you never have a long wait for your food so that's a plus. read more

Best service in the area!!! Loved this place from day 1 eating here. Would highly suggest

If you don't look carefully you just might miss it. It's nice and tucked in the corner of Smallwood Dr. and Middletown Rd. We stopped by and tried the Saltado and Chicken steak sandwich. The steak on the Saltado was absolutely delicious! The steak was marinated and seasoned very well and the fries were filling and satisfying. This may be one of my new favorite spots. Also, the customer service was very welcoming. Thank you! read more

Very good environment. I love the Peruvian music playing the whole time. You can tell this is a family spot. They have the kids doing homework in the back corner. Food is great. Customer service is wonderful. MR. G the Gm seems like a really nice guy. Good attention to detail. Chicken is juicy. The sides are great. They have a nice set of options. Haven't tried the salmon yet, but so far everything else has been on point! read more

Always fresh and great quality food! I love that they're close by and I've rarely experienced a wait. Highly recommend!

Great food and great service. I love their ceviche best in the area and they have it available every day

I have only eaten here once, but it was very good. I had a steak and cheese sandwich, and it was the best one in Charles County, except for a couple of table service places. It had good steak not chopped too small, well seasoned, with onions, peppers, and mushrooms. They even fried up some fresh jalapenos with the peppers on request. The roll was just okay, but they are not a bakery. The steak fries were pretty good but could have been cooked a little more to be crispier. The service was very good. I can't wait to come back to try some of their Peruvian foods, and my rating may rise. (I will note that I initially ordered tacos, which you have to buy five at a time for some reason, but then canceled when they said they did not have guacamole anymore. These aren't authentic Mexican tacos, so no guac, no deal. Life is too short to eat Mexican food without guac!) read more

I ordered through Yelp for pick up the other day. I got a 1/2 chix for my husband, with a couple of side dishes. He was thrilled with his meal. I had tacos. They were delicious, if a little dry. Next time, I'm going to try something different, but he's sold on the chicken. The service was top-notch! The staff was wearing masks. The store was clean, and icould see my food being prepared. The alsohad some interesting items for the holidays, if you need to pick up a treat! It was easy to get in and out of the center. Parking was conveniently and ample. You can eat inside, and it appeared to be socially distanced, though I wasn't looking to dine-in. Don't quote me. There are a few other businesses close by if you have to wait. I remember a dry cleaner, a liquor store, a gas station, and a children's center. I will definitely be returning when I pass by on Middletown Rd on the way to the doctor. read more

Idk what the hype is about this place. I had good wings from here...dassit! Ordered $23 Salmon from here last night because y'all ranted & raved about how "seasoned" the salmon was ...do y'all even know what seasoning is?! I had to add my own. The green beans were TERRIBLE! The menu looked good but almost everything was poorly done. Got the shrimp, fish and calamari platter, seasoning was nasty, shrimp over cooked, calamari inedible. The fajitas were fine, hard to mess that up, but the steak was over cooked and shrimp was penny sized. Tres leches 5/10. Plantains we're good. read more

So happy to find a pristinely clean restaurant with the ingredients of food we eat every day! The staff was very friendly. I decided to try the 2 meat Quesadilla and went with steak and shrimp, House Salad, and Fries no salt. The flavor and texture of the Quesadilla was excellent but someone was a little heavy handed with the salt or seasoning that has salt in it. Since the Quesadilla comes with Pepper-jack cheese it would be helpful not to add whatever the seasoning is with salt in it to this dish. Next time I will ask for no salt or seasoning to be added to my Quesadilla. My advice for anyone with high blood pressure or allergies, is to let the restaurant know up front that you have special dietary needs and they will more than likely be happy to work with you. When my mother was hospitalized with stage 4 cancer, I used to prepare her meals daily to take to the hospital. One day I was unable to prepare the meal myself and went to a restaurant telling them exactly what my mother wanted to eat and how it needed to be prepared. The young lady taking the order asked me to wait a moment as she went to tell the chef. She came back with tears in her eyes and told me "The chef said It's On The House!" I began to cry and she cried even harder as she told me she'd recently lost her father to stage 4 cancer. That was 21 years ago. My mother passed away 20 years ago. I shared all of this to say this is a great restaurant with fresh ingredients. Just let the person who is taking the order know you or a loved one has special dietary needs. Again, they will be happy to work with you. The House Salad and Fries with No Salt were excellent too. We also tried the Chicha Morada. Excellent! We will be back for more. I'm only taking off one star because of the heavy hand of salt. I will ask for no salt next time and give a 5 star review! We will be back again SOON! read more

i ordered via a meal delivery service. the food was excellent and i would definitely order again. i purchased a chicken quesadilla and a de el caesar salad. everything was amazing and flavorful. chicken wasn't dry and the salad portion was humongous. i only ate about 1/4 and will have leftovers tomorrow. the quesadilla comes with sauces - sour cream, honey mustard (yummiest), and salsa, as well as a side of lettuce. i dumped the salsa on the lettuce and made that a little fresh salad as well. read more

The food was great and reasonably priced. My family decided to try this place out and we have ordered several times since.

This is a great family place with amazing service and fantastic music. Very much like the atmosphere. The chicken was cooked to perfection, but lacked flavor. The black beans and pinto beans come from a can and were very undercooked and also lacked seasoning. Rice was overdone. It's possible this was just an off day, I'd like to try again. read more

I ordered the Chicken & Steak Quesadillas. I was VERY disappointed. The quesadilla was VERY greasy. The chicken was awful tasting and seemed to be leftover. Then a gentleman came over and agreed it was not good and apologized. read more
