I actually believe this business should get negative stars for the service that I just received last evening. We took the exit off of 64, to go to Bojangles. The sign coming off of 64 had us going the wrong way. So, we looked and saw Julio's. We are big fans of Mexican, so we said let's give it a try. When we got there, we were seated right away. It took them about 7-8 minutes before a young guy brought a basket of chips, salsa, and white sauce. The white sauce was so watered down that it tasted nasty. Finally, about 5 minutes after the chips arrived, the waittress showed up. She had been back at the kitchen area talking with the other waitresses and kitchen staff. We asked for our drinks, ordered dinner and 4-5 minutes later, she brought the drinks. I told her that the white sauce tasted like it was watered down and and that it was horrible. She said, "well, they just pour it out of a big jug in the kitchen". I sort of expected to hear something like, "I will advise the manager", or "would you like to speak to the manager". I asked her to bring some cheese sauce instead. She brought the cheese sauce back in a moment. When she brought the cheese sauce, we asked for silverware and napkins (never brought before then). She said, "oh yeah, I'll be right back". The cheese sauce was so runny, that it wouldn't stick to the chips. It just ran right off. Of course, she didn't bring the silverware back right away, so no napkins to wipe our mouths with. She was, once again, standing back at the kitchen talking to the other restaurant associates. So, when they started to bring out the dinners, she stopped half way through the restaurant and went back towards the kitchen to get our silverware and napkins. I told her that she should really "wait" on her customers instead of standing back at the kitchen talking to her friends. I also told her about the cheese dip. She said, "Oh well". I asked to speak to someone. She sent the maitre de over to the table. I asked if he was the manager. He said that his brother was the manager. He asked me what the problem was. I started to tell hiim about the white sauce that we had earlier. He pointed out that there was cheese sauce on the table. I said, "yes, I'm talking about the white sauce that we had "earlier". He again said, "do you mean the cheese sauce?" I then asked to speak to his brother, the manager. He then told me that he wasn't there. He said that he could be there in about 30 minutes, if I wanted to wait. I asked to speak to the manager on duty. He told me that was his mother, but I can only speak to her if I could speak Spanish, because she doesn't speak English. I told him that obviously, he didn't understand English either. He may speak it, but that sure as hell doesn't mean that he understands. I also pointed out that the cheese sauce was watered down also. He said, "it's supposed to be like that". 54 years old and I've eaten in hundreds of Mexican restaurants. Sure, when it first comes out, it is a little thin, but typically it thickens within a few minutes. This was 5-6 minutes later and it was still water and getting cold. I couldn't take it anymore. I just got up and left. Worst, worst, worst service and white sauce and cheese sauce ever in any Mexican restaurant that I've ever been in. I should have seen the signs. When we pulled up, there weren't many cars in the parking lot. Now, I know why. Save yourself from this place. Horrible service. We found Bojangles and had a decent dinner, after all. read more
