I'm not always a fan of the food - it's certainly loud inside, and the staff can occasionally be a little rough around the edges... BUT (1) I do love a patio - especially with plants (2) My last 2 visits were so good (3) the Brussels sprouts!! (4) corn tortillas (5) lime aid - freshly squeezed The fish tacos are my go-to and usually the fish is perfectly cooked. I pair them with the Brussels sprouts bc the flavor combo is everything you want! The location is great, very central to the city - and the space is friendly enough for kiddos if you've just spent a day at the museums or the park. Their happy hour is an easy yes...always a nice variety of drinks to choose from and you'll find a nice blend of folks here on any given day. Highly recommend: agua Fresca & your favorite rum

Chips and Salsa: a must get! the chips are homemade and the salsa are delicious, our original green salsa didn't seem to be blended properly but the server fixed it quickly with a new one Burrito bowl: the chicken is flavorful and shredded to perfection Service: the service was slow but it was packed in there, server was very nice and accomadating!

Went here recently to get a quick bite before a night out. They unfortunately did not have the fish tacos but were able to accommodate subbing for shrimp and it was delicious! The service was nice and the vibe was chill. Unfortunately it began raining but they do have umbrellas and quick indoor access. I also saw someone brought their pet with them on the patio and I thought that was nice!

I don't know where the miscommunication happened... maybe because it was so loud and busy in here? lol but I came with friends and one of them ordered a bowl with no cheese. They brought her a burrito with cheese. After addressing it, the waitress said they were remaking it. When they brought her a new one.... It was again a burrito lmao. I'm sorry, but if you're going to automatically apply a 20% gratuity- to which we had 4 adults and 2 kids (who didn't eat). I would at least expect us to receive the correct order, especially on the second time.... I would not recommend this restaurant, no. The brussel sprouts I had were underwhelming and my sweet potato fries were soggy.

Wow! This place blew us away. We had to sit outside since we had both of our dogs, but the umbrella on the patio was the perfect amount of shade to relax under while eating our meal! Guacamole is a must - large portion and chips have to be made in house. Food all came to the window super quick, and very easy ordering. Must try in Richmond before a day of exploring breweries!

Enjoyed some drinks on the patio at En Su Boca today and they were fantastic. Best margaritas of the weekend, and we ordered a mocktail of whatever the bartender made up, which turned out to be my favorite drink of a lavender lemonade. Service was great, place was busy, but we were able to get drinks immediately. Can't wait to try the food next time I'm in town!

Never been here before, honestly I avoid the city usually at all cost. Had a friend who talks about the place and had nothing but great things to say. Today I decided to try En Su Boca. Have to say since I went around 2 pm I found parking to be very easy right in front. When I entered the employees and greeted were all very friendly. The bartender seemed to have a good relationship with all her customers as they were all laughing and having a great time. The space is small but I still found it comfortable and clean. They have a pretty good size drink menu however I only had water on this visit. I got the ground beef enchiladas and I have to say they were excellent. They have a smaller menu however the protein combinations can make it a much choice. I honestly really enjoyed my meal and thought the flavors were very good. I would definitely eat here again. If you're in the area and looking for some good Mexican food give this place a shot.

The drinks and chips & salsa were good, but the food was mehh. I would go back again for the drinks. The service was decent and it was a nice vibe.

For a place where I didn't expect much (seemed super trendy, ordered mostly out of convenience), this place surprised me! Tacos were fairly sizeable and I was pretty impressed by both the fish and shrimp options. A bit pricey all things considered - but would definitely recommend checking them out for a cute date night or some quality takeout. The inside is so cute and welcoming, heard their patio is great during the summer. Convenient location right by our apartment and glad to have tried it so early on into our move to Richmond. Also - they gave us an entire order of chips/salsa for free to go alongside our guacamole order which was so incredibly nice and unexpected for no particular reason. Maybe they just had some extras ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Visiting from NY, after night out came for some tacos. Welp!! I got the carnitas tacos. They served the taco cold AF. Literally I could not believe it. One thing u don't want to fuck with is pork .. I spit that shit out!! They were gracious enough that take it off the bill as they should.. Keep on trucking and get something else0"""

My wife found En Su Boca in an obscure reference in cookbook, and it became our mission to try it out. The exterior sets your expectations at a reasonable level, not promising anything too fancy but letting you know that they have all of the basics to pass health code standards. As my wife said while we parked, "You never know with a hole-in-the-wall-type of place: it could be scary, it could be the most amazing food you've ever had." The decor gives you the feeling that it may have been intended to be a Mexican motorcycle shop until a last minute pivot to sell tacos. It's fun and funky and it works. The service was prompt, friendly, and helpful. We ordered a house margarita which was okay, but a little disappointing in that it didn't stand out at all. Once the tacos arrived, we were blown away by those! The portions are healthy and the flavors were widely varied and all amazing! We ordered a side of sour cream, which wasn't great and wasn't really needed. The sides of black beans and rice were disappointingly lacking in flavor. Overall, we really enjoyed the food and felt like it was a great value for the quality and size. We'll be back, but will definitely change up our orders a bit.

My son and I visited on a beautiful fall day so we got to enjoy the cool patio. I got three tacos- carnitas, Brussels sprouts and the marinated grilled chicken. Really liked the carnitas and Brussels but the MGC was a little bland. My son gave a thumbs up for the ropa vieja burrito and it's probably a better bang for your buck than the tacos if you're really hungry. Three tacos were plenty for me though. I do miss the good old days when restaurants use to give you chips and salsa or bread for a free appetizer

Chicken enchiladas with rice, chips and salsa and a frozen margarita! Yuuuum!

My husband and I went for a relaxing mid week dinner and it was a great choice. I've been there before but he hasn't. The atmosphere is always chill and while sometimes in the past it has been loud, this time it was not bad at all. We both got a house margarita and chips and salsa to start. I got the marinated chicken enchiladas and my husband got a burrito. We both ate it all up and left happy and full. Our waitress was very kind and efficient and we got all of our food and drinks very quickly! Excited to go back there together again.

    Is the patio dog-friendly?

Yes! There are two patios. One near the entrance and the bigger one on the side. I think they're both dog friend but I know with 100% certainty that the patio near the entrance is dog friendly. I've brought both of my pups with me before :)

I noticed the ice cream/yogurt spot nearby was hopping. There was a person asking for change outside the front door. We were greeted by an enthusiastic host and seated immediately at a booth up front. The server came by within seconds and brought us water and place settings. We decided to get the chips and salsa for an appetizer and a pair of melting chimichangas for entrees. I can't resist some chorizo and steak. My partner got the chimichanga without chorizo and with chicken. The ambiance was colorful with beautifully painted murals on each wall, and the atmosphere was undeniably loud. There were lots of patrons. The place was packed, even at the bar, so your mileage may vary. We received our orders within minutes of each other, so there wasn't much of a wait time. The chips and salsa were homemade, fresh, warm, and delicious (muy rico). Same for the entrees; exactly what I want in a Mexican food restaurant. The chorizo and steak were well-cooked, seasoned, and chopped finely, but not ground. I was in heaven with that chimichanga. We had to take home leftovers. The next night, heated in the oven at 325 for 30 minutes, they were similarly excellent. The night ended without dessert, sadly (too full). However, the server was quick and efficient, and he was always around to fill water and bring anything we needed throughout the meal. Great experience overall. We will definitely return here whenever we have a hankering for some good Mexican food at reasonable prices. I can recommend this place to anyone who appreciates hearty and filling Mexican food.

Let me also give nuance to my love of Lolita's by saying first and foremost that I had the best cocktail I've ever had here, the Hotboxed Ferrari (Siete Misterios Mezcal, Byrrh, Piña, Campari, Fernet Branca, Cinnamon Deme, Salted Grapefruit Foam). I am rabid for Mezcal. I want to kiss the mixologist who developed this drink, because it is absolutely a balance of flavors that showcases the beautiful and perfect smokiness of Mezcal and good grief I almost fell out after my first sip. *deep breaths* So we just continue riding this wave of joy with the salsa and tostadas. Three types of salsas with unique flavors and different levels of heat. All three incredible. Blue-corn tostadas made in-house. And then a bowl of pozole verde. This damn sopa had me in a chokehold as well because how was everything perfect??? The textures, the flavors...I think I might have forgotten where I was because I got lost in that bowl. Best pozole verde I've ever had. Ordered the Choripapa and Suadero tacos- at this point I really could have ordered just one because your girl was almost at maximum capacity. The tacos are not cheap- ranging from $11-14- but to their credit, they do not skimp on the fillings and the flavors are top tier. Add in those fresh blue corn tortillas and you have a combination that truly did not miss in any way, shape, or form. Only disappointment I encountered the entire night was one of the drinks on the menu not actually being available (the frozen horchata-pumpkin colada), but my bartender made me a horchata coffee cocktail that definitely made up for it. Shout out to her, because she was throwing down on them drinks. So. True artistry experienced throughout the night, from the cocktails to the food. The atmosphere is so cool inside too, definitely a light summery feel which is a nice respite from this crazy winter blast we're experiencing at the moment. Love this spot and highly recommend.
