Great place when you're truly hungry!! The food is fantastic and the portions are large!

Let me start by saying the atmosphere here is almost always pleasant. Whether you're picking up food or dining in, they send you off with a friendly "see you tomorrow," which always leaves a good impression. My go-to order is the Quesadilla Del Mar without onions, and I have never been disappointed. When I dine in, I usually ask for queso on top. If I'm getting takeout, I order the queso on the side. Either way, the queso is top tier. A couple of small opportunities for improvement: Parking can be tough when the place is packed. Also, the complimentary chips, salsa, and white sauce for takeout could use some balance. You get two servings of chips but barely enough salsa for one chip, which feels a little off. I'm actually quite in awe of this and the main reason I can't give them 5 stars. You're already great. Don't compromise that by being stingy on salsa when give so much in your dishes. Overall, this is my go-to spot for Mexican food. I don't even live close, but I gladly make the drive every time. read more

I went here for a farewell dinner before moving to start a new job. My party went during the middle of the week, but the atmosphere was very comforting! The people were very nice and hospitable, even with being short staffed. Since they do happy hour from 3pm-7pm, it only felt right to order their Blue Margarita which was absolutely HUGE! I ordered their Quesa Burris Tacos which were pretty ok, a bit dry and not a lot of flavor in the birria broth, but definitely still something to try if you're interested! Tuesday 3/15/22 4:17pm I love the outside building colors as well as the inside decor and colors. Mexican restaurants are always so colorful and happy. My waitress however, didn't seem so happy but we will work around that. 100% efficient, 10% personality. Salsa is 99% of the time too spicy for me. I wish they served a mild option. I end up always having to order cheese dip for my nachos. An additional $5 ugh. This restaurant had spicy salsa (too spicy for me) and the consistency was like baby food. I prefer chunky salsa. While at work I already decided I was going to try the guacamacho. I love fresh guacamole and it has a little twist coming with four chicken flautas topped with sour cream and cheese. This was just "ok" it looks really nice. The flautas were dry on the inside but I can see the potential. This is definitely an appetizer for 2 or a meal for one. The sweet tea was the bomb! Okay, I'm really outing our fave secret family dinner spot, but the Tres Machos crew deserves the love. First of all, they are SO great with kids. Everyone there is so friendly and helpful-- a million stars. Second tip: happy hour is a good deal. Definitely check it out and enjoy the hilarious videos they play on the TV's as an added bonus And finally: the meal deals are awesome! Since I was over it and I already waited AND PAID I told them just add some cheese sauce on the side and I'll be on my way but she kept saying no. My friend ordered a happy hour margarita that was served in a huge glass, more like a bowl! She said it was strong and tasty. We ordered carnitas tacos and quesadillas. While they weren't the best I've had, they were satisfying. The tortillas and queso was pretty good, but the cheese could've been a bit thicker. The price matched the food and the service was average. The atmosphere was festive, colorful and cheerful. There's another Mexican restaurant nearby, and I will say, I preferred this one. Parking is a challenge... few spaces in front, and down a steep alley will lead you to a few in the back. It's kind of creepy back there so be on your toes. I have hearing rave reviews about these barria tacos, who doesn't want food that needs to be dipped in something! I was not disappointed AT ALL, very flavorful and delicious. The restaurant was a part of a brewery so they didn't have the normal fountain drinks but that was understandable. My family enjoyed their food as well everything was cooked and seasoned perfectly! I will definitely visit again and try other things on the menu and maybe a drink or two !! I love love love Mexican food so much so that I could literally eat it every single day. After driving by Tres Machos a gazillion times I finally gave in and decided to give it a try. The pros -They have a unique menu that features lots of different items including dishes with crab & lobster. - the size of the booths are very spacious so in case you get a little wild with all the carbs and get bloated you'll still have plenty of room. - the staff is amazing!! They were friendly and kept the drinks flowing. Cons - the happy hour price of a margarita was 9 bucks which seems a little on the high side for a happy hour deal. - the parking lot is teeny tiny and very dark on the side of the building at night time. - the chips weren't very good. Did I eat them?? hecks yea I did!! Was I hungry?? Oh you know I was!! Doesnt mean they tasted good. Overall I enjoyed my time at Tres Machos but if we are re being honest and doing an apples to apples comparision here Tres Machos lands in the middle of the pack and gets an average 3 star rating. read more

I stopped in just for the quesabirria tacos and wasn't too impressed. You get three tacos and a scoop of rice for $12.50. The tacos were a bit bland, even after dipping them in the consommé. However, they were a decent size. There was barely any cheese inside, which the picture shows lots of cheese. I also had a medium house margarita for happy hour (3p-7p), which was $8.99. That's the regular price I pay for margaritas NOT on happy hour special. The large was $10.99. It was ok. I've definitely had better! The service was as expected. It wasn't too busy and they only had one server. Overall, I was a bit disappointed and probably won't go back, especially for happy hour! Came here for margaritas. They were terrible...fake lime flavor that tastes like a melted green popsicle. It didn't taste like there was a lick of tequila in it. It also came from one of those plastic machines that pushed the juice around. It had what appeared to be radioactive sludge in it. Oh and the price, $8.99 for happy hour. Hard pass. Stick to Lalos. Stumbled on this place looking for some decent Mexican food that isn't overpriced. We have only order from Tres Machos on DoorDash, so this review doesn't say anything about the place itself. However, we love the food here . I usually get the beef chimichangas and my boyfriend enjoys the burrito texana. The salsa is fresh, and the chimichangas are still crispy and fresh even after being boxed up! Sometimes we even splurge and get the nachos extreme with chicken or beef and that's a whole meal alone! Went here on a Friday night and it wasn't overly busy so we were seated immediately. After ordering we got our drinks, mine was wrong at first but then corrected. It was kinda strange because throughout the night we had three different people waiting on us. We waited a very long time to get our food and by the time we got it we were so full on chips and drinks that we could've done without the food. I was impressed with some different options for vegetarian food. My meal was decent but not a ton of flavor, my husbands looked really good but he barely ate any because he was full.
