This place gets a 5 star as it even impressed my Mom, who is EXTREMELY picky about her pizza! Jules makes very thin crust pizza (imagine a thin flatbread) with various topping options and you can even make your own. The great thing is that you can buy individual slices or order a pie (takes about 10minutes to make a custom pie). They have TONS of healthy vegetarian options as well and are creative with the use of veggies. We ordered a few individual slices and one large custom pie and all were pretty delicious! I would highly recommend a tomato cheese pizza with their fresh steamed spinach and fresh jalapenos (these were fresh & SPICY!) as a custom option. Prices are a little steep (especially if you decide to get a lot of individual slices) but everything is very fresh and service was super friendly and quick. I also love how instead of plates, they used wooden pizza trays (very cute &&& environmentally friendly!). Also, their slices/pies resemble Sicilian pizzas more as they are rectangular in shape. The location is perfect for downtown Princeton - right on a busy street full of lots of eateries and very close to Princeton University. Also, its a laid back spot and it was pretty easy to find some open tables a little after the lunch time rush. Definitely recommend this place as a great lunch or dinner spot. I visited jules for the first time today in a few months and i'm glad to say they still make great food. I was in a rush today so I ordered a slice margarita to go. there was only one problem i had noticed. They have these new boxes that was inside out and there was red ink that had spread and had seeped into the bottom of my pizza crust when i went and picked it up. I am a huge fan of this establishment. The staff is always super nice, friendly and helpful and know how to do their job. As always the staff continued to prove that today. Came in here while visiting Princeton and loved it! Jules has flatbread pizzas with many unique toppings and flavors! It is set up like a normal pizza parlor where the pizza is in front of you behind the glass ready to be put in the oven. However, Jules serves pizza and pizza only. No sides. Anyway, I got the white spinach with ricotta cheese and Sarah got vegetable number 13 and both were delicious! Not greasy at all, and very tasty! Let me start by saying that the pizza is fine. The flavors are good and the prices are inexpensive. My complaint does not lie with the product, and is entirely reserved for this particular location. Here we go... If you do not mind rude service, this is the perfect place for you! You will get along just fine with the owner. You will walk into her store and go unnoticed and unaddressed while she fiddles with nonsense behind the counter, while she goes into the back to check on an outdated gift card that no longer works at the register for someone who just spent ten minutes trying to order. There will be no glance in your direction with an "I'll be right with you." There will be no call for back-up. There will be radio silence. No glance. No smile. No acknowledgement that you have been waiting an inordinately long amount of time for a pre-made slice of pizza. Have fun with that. I really want to love this place, and I have tried, believed me. I do not demand gourmet food - pre-made pizza sitting out for an unspecified amount of time and then rewarmed under a conveyor belt toaster does not offend me. And I do like the price point and the proximity. I work across the street and have been there at least 20 times. I have also walked out without ordering at least five times because the staff or the owner herself were just too incompetent to handle the person in front of me in a timely fashion and I just had to give up because it was just taking too damn long. Thank God Olives is right next door. The owner and staff of Jules could take a few lessons from Olives. You cannot find a friendlier staff - greeting everyone with a smile and a "nice to see you" and making eye contact with everyone. All of the options at Jules are both healthy and delicious, which is what I love about it. I have always had great experiences with the service. I stopped by this place for a quick bite for lunch and was fascinated by all the different and creative toppings available on the slices. They have separate sides for the vegetarian and non vegetarian slices with detailed descriptions of the ingredients that goes in each slice. I ended up choosing the Meat #2 (bbq pulled pork) and the "General Tso Chicken" which seemed to be their special of the day. Delivery time was average (45 min) but there was no discrepancy between the estimated time on Grubhub and the actual delivery time. I ordered the large pulled pork thin crust. The ingredients tasted very fresh and the flavors worked together harmoniously. The only complaint was that the pizza was lukewarm by the time it arrived so I would suggest a better insulation system. I am looking forward to visiting the restaurant in person in the near future to get the full experience. The large size was just barely enough to fill up two people (combined weight of 300 lbs). I love that you have the option to create your own pizza for relatively the same price as the menu options. I created my own pizza with thin whole grain white crust, fresh tomato sauce, vegan cheese, spinach, arugula, green peppers, mushrooms, and vegan sausage. It was so delicious I found myself savoring every bite and was reminded of pizza from my pre-vegan days. You can taste the freshness of the ingredients, which is really important because some other pizza places will use old vegetables or toppings where the mouth-feel is just compromised But Jules has that element of crisp and perfectly cooked. The staff is really friendly and easy to talk to. It was my first time here, and usually whenever I visit any place for the first time I tend to be absolutely baffled and awkward. But the staff here made me feel comfortable and were really patient when I kept going back and forth with the toppings I wanted (because truthfully I wanted ALL OF THE VEGETABLES); they even offered suggestions and signed me up for a promotion! I've walked by this place so many times in the past, and finally decided to check it out today for lunch with my friend Sarah. We walked in and were mesmerized by all the choices of thin crust pizzas! About half were vegetarian and half were meat. I'm not a big fan of pepperoni/ham/sausage in pizza, so I was thrilled to see buffalo chicken and portabello which we picked as 2 of our options (see pics). We also tried the Mediterranean and the bruschetta. They cut the slices into rectangles, and 2 servings would be enough for one adult. They also cut each serving in half so Sarah and I each tried all four options. Total we spent about $12 altogether- not bad at all! They were all soooooo delicious! I also like how you can order by slice since they have so many selections to choose from that I always want to get more than one. Found this little gem while searching for gluten free options from my hotel room. For some reason princeton has so many more healthy and organic food restaurant options than busy bustling suffolk county where I live. It's a college town and must be a sign of the times! Jules was right in front of me but I went and looked over yelp and saw great reviews and decided to check it out.. they had multiple options of vegan, vegetarian pizza and 5-6 meat pizza.. place was decently busy so we decided to to order buffalo chicken pizza Large.. their pizza is organic and we ordered whole wheat base.. arrived in 25 minutes- taste-wise it felt very dry. I m not sure bc there is no tomatoe sauce but was dry and was very salty also.. hence I didn't like it.. I will go back to try more but I was impressed.. staff was very nice and restaurant was clean... they did have interesting topping choices but I had much better thin crust pizza than this!!! read more
