Grabbed lunch from here today with a couple of friends and enjoyed my pizza! Pizza Den is a small restaurant located just off Nassau St., with a couple of tables for eating, a counter for ordering, and not much else. The ambiance inside feels cozy rather than claustrophobic, though, and all staff were friendly and proficient throughout. My friends and I ended up sharing the large Brooklyn Pie and it was pretty good! Not the absolute best pizza I've ever had, but it was prepared fresh (I had to wait ~5 minutes for it to cool down before I could eat!), the sauce was reasonably tangy and tasty, and the crust was high quality. Cost was reasonable, and the drink selection was decent (I ended up getting a cold green tea which hit the spot!). I could definitely see myself coming back here if in the area and craving some pizza. read more

Every time I go to Princeton this shop is different! It's towards the end of the business area but is always busy. The shop was redone into a brightly lit more modern decor. Both the store and bathroom were very clean. You can order several different kinds of slices or a whole pie. Only a few tables are available inside and out. It seems like they do a booming take out business. I had a slice of plain pizza. It was tasty with a good sauce, crispy crust and a nice amount of cheese. The usual toppings are available. Great little pizza shop on Nassau in Princeton. I am a pepperoni pizza purist, and the pepperoni slice was very good! Good friendly place with array of speciality pizzas. Their pies come in three sizes- personal, mid, and large. Large is quite large and should be good for three (or two if you are lumber jacks). Hot pizzas always taste good and the cheese was good but not extraordinary. The basil leaves on the top seemed like they were a tad bit beyond their prime time. The pizza is absolutely amazing. In my opinion the best in Princeton, and I've had every one. This pizza's crust was crisp, the sauce was just the right mix of sweet and tangy. The olive oil and fresh basil was a perfect blend with the fresh mozzarella. Their Brooklyn Pie is amazing, but my personal favorite is their sauce less pie - a wonderful combination of ricotta fresh mozzarella and goat cheese with olive oil basil and garlic l it's one of the most amazing combinations I've tasted on a pizza. Even their plain pies are excellent. The ingredients are always fresh, they only use the best and take care with every pie. Nothing is ever thrown together - it's carefully prepared and you can literally taste the difference. The Pizza Den is a cozy and cool space. Came in for some pizza with family. We were greeted by super pleasant staff. They took our order for a "small" 6-slice pie. We just ordered a plain pizza. While we waited for our pizza to be cooked, the woman working very kindly offered us drinks. I went to use the restroom which was extremely clean and tidy. Once our pizza was brought out, it was fresh and hot. The pizza was a nice, thin crust, and it tasted very authentic. The 6-slice pizza serves 2-3 people well. This is some of the best pizza I've had compared to other pizza shops in Princeton. The spot is cute, clean, low-key, and at the end of Nassau Street near 7-Eleven. My boyfriend and I were in Princeton for the day and decided to stop at Pizza Den for a slice in the afternoon. This tiny, hole-in-the-wall pizza shop is located right between the two Hoagie Haven locations (a Princeton staple). When we walked in, we were the first and only customers, but just five minutes later it was swamped! The gentleman at the desk was very friendly and did a quick run through of all of the pizzas they had to offer. We were told that the pizza with toppings from the classic sandwiches at Hoagie Haven is a customer favorite, but we decided to go for a slice of the bacon and red peppers and one pepperoni instead. We also asked to add mushrooms to the pepperoni. The two slices came out to roughly $7. They told us to grab a seat at a table (they only have a few with a very limited amount of seats) while they heated up our slices. Both of the slices we chose were piping hot and delicious! The toppings were well proportionate to the size of the pizza and the crust was nice and crispy. I especially enjoyed the bacon and peppers slice. It had a slight kick to it which I really enjoyed. Took your average pizza to a new level! If you're craving pizza while in Princeton and aren't concerned about seating (beware, you might have to take your pizza to go), this is your place! Pizza Den offers patrons pizza that features artisan-style crust, a marinara sauce that is on the sweeter side, and gourmet cheese. I ordered a margarita personal pie and found the quantity of these ingredients to be perfect; nothing overpowered the other ingredients. They also have an interesting soft drink selection. The nutella dessert pizza had a bit of a rough crust, but the strawberries on top more than made up for it. I would not order delivery from this place, though. I ordered delivery to my hotel and got a call that my order was left at the front desk. Other places I've ordered from have taken it to my room, but I wasn't terribly inconvenienced by it. However, when I went down to pick it up, I discovered the food was not left at the front desk. Happened to run across this place for a quick slice of pizza and it was simply AMAZING!!!. I am generally very reluctant on buying a slice of pizza as at most places it would be sitting on display for days and most cases they just warm it with lot of grease on your pizza slice. Pizza den was a different experience altogether. Have been twice to this place already in past 15 days. May be they get sold out everyday so they have new pies made everyday. Very reasonably priced and good quality food. The staff is very polite and kind too.
