Good pizza for Princeton. Not a typical classic recipe taste kinda pizza but its good if you want something in a modern urban area and a flare of Fast paced & modern. Good selections and the crust is made well. It's a good place to go if you have kids. Not my favorite but it's good.

Spicy Sausage Pizza Princeton and Vodka pie with Pepperoni

First time checking Nomad out and I really enjoyed my experience here. I had the Spicy Sausage Pizza and Vodka pie with Pepperoni, which is a must! The dough is nice and soft. Very chill environment, amazing service and delicious food....can't go wrong with that! Definitely will be visiting again soon to explore the rest of the menu.

Some nights are meant for music and friends and sitting in the grass pretending the world is a little softer than it usually is. That's what we were after at the Princeton Shopping Center. A friend was performing in WOMENROCK! which is the kind of show that makes you think maybe we all still have some beauty left in us. Before the first chord was played and the sun had started to go down, we needed something to eat. Someone said "Let's get pizza from Nomad" and everyone nodded because it has that foodie glow around it. The kind of place that gets whispered about in brunch conversations and local blogs with too many adjectives. We figured it would be expensive but good. We were half right. When we got there it was chaos. Not the fun kind either. More the disorganized, distracted, hurry-up-and-wait kind. The meat slicer was broken, which meant they were out of several pizzas, all involving things like prosciutto and whatnot. Apparently one machine stood between us and several options on the menu. Life is like that sometimes. The pizzas only come in one size. That size is slightly too much for one person or not quite enough for two. A clever trick for the house, not so much for the customer. We got two pepperoni pies for our family. That's $42. I don't know what kind of pepperoni has to travel first class to justify that price but it didn't show up with a passport or a purpose. The pizza was fine. Let me say that again. It was fine. Dough was moist and chewy. The flavor was there. But the slices had all the structural integrity of a sad birthday balloon. They flopped over the moment you picked them up like they'd given up on life. No crispness. No backbone. Just sauce and cheese surrendering to gravity. And that's the thing. For $21 a pie and a reputation built on food pilgrimages and curated rusticity, I expected something better than "fine." I expected a little joy. I expected a slice I could hold in one hand without reenacting a pizza-based tragedy. There are too many great pizza places around Mercer County to settle for this again. We ate it. We did not suffer. But we will not return. The music in the shopping center's courtyard, by the way, was wonderful.

I have been here several times they are. Casual atmosphere and service is pretty quick and it's definitely a good spot for great pizzas and I love the appetizers. Even though they are a pretty decent size I definitely would consider calling ahead if you have a large party . The Tartufo pie is delicious and probably my favorite. I always get the arugula salad but decided to go with Caesar this time around . We also ordered dessert pizzas this time around Nutella pizza is a must ! Swing by and give this place a try if you are looking for a new spot to try .

Super great wood fired pizza. The salads are also fabulous- I love Nomad Pizza! Family friendly but also a nice place to take a dinner date. The first experience I had here was with an Italian Language and Culture course I attended through the Princeton Adult School. I guess that's a glowing example of the level of respect Nomad generates in the community. Just go! Nomad does not disappoint !

    L-R, tartufo, spicy sausage, guanciale

The guanciale and tartufo were excellent, but the spicy sausage was disappointing. It seemed like it was mostly onions on top of the pie, with a sprinkle of sausage. Would've preferred doubling on the tartufo. In general the slices had poorly distributed toppings so some had max toppings, while others were basically plain.

Service was great. The restaurant was flooded with children the night we went (seemed like some PTA night out or something) and so naturally, the restaurant was louder than I'd think is normal. We asked our server to move us to another table that was farther from the children and he nicely helped us with the request. We order 2 pizzas, the Guanciale and the Hot Soppressata. We enjoyed both but liked the Hot Soppressata a bit more. The tomato sauce is light and the spice from the meat is a perfect cut/pairing with the light sauce. We also loved the sweet fig jam on the Guanciale and thought it was great with the salty mozzarella. The dough is sooo fluffy and perfectly bouncy. Would definitely love to come back the next time I'm in Princeton again!

We, a group of about 15 people, went there for a friend's birthday in March, 2024. Parking is plentiful and we had a reservation---so we did not have to wait. We ordered several pizzas. The ambiance is good and the service is nice. The menu is fascinating and their pizzas are somewhat unique. Some of us are vegetarians and they had plenty of vegetarian options. They have gluten-free options though we did not order any such. We liked the taste of the pizzas that we ordered. Kids were very happy. Would happily go there again.

Great atmosphere and service. Parking can be a little frustrating since it's a strip mall with a supermarket and popular bakery nearby. Good size on the inside but gets busy fast. It was packed for a Thursday. Pricy. Pizzas range $19-$22 and wines were $30+ for the bottle. Everything was good. Bruschetta was a small portion. The arugula salad was great. The margherita was good but pretty plain. It didn't have enough basil on it and even though the crust was burned, the bottom was floppy. The seasonal spicy peach pizza was my favorite - it was super unusual. The jalapeños, peaches and arugula all went well together. The Tartufo is good but it's an acquired taste and barely pizza. No red sauce. The egg is unusual. The truffle is balanced and not overpowering. My favorite was the Calabrian spicy one. Bathroom is small and clean. Chairs are all metal but mismatched designs and sizes which is frustrating. My purse kept falling off my chair so I hung it on my friends. My friend mentioned how his chair was really small and uncomfortable.

There are several ready-made pies that are ready to warm up by the slice. We knew we were hungry enough for an entire pie, but it wasn't entirely clear from our conversation with those at the counter that a build-your-own pie option was available (it is; it's just the workers there either didn't seem to understand what we were asking, or were pushing us toward ordering from the available pies). I've found that a two-fold downside of some ultra-thin crusts pizzas, both of which seemed to be the case here. One, the toppings can be a little thin. Maybe it's because they're trying to think about how much load-bearing weight those crusts can hold up, but I missed some of those perfect sauce-cheese-toppings ratios in our slices here. Two, these slices don't wait well. I got caught up in conversation with my lunch mate, and ten minutes in, I found that my slices had gone brick cold. The flavors were still here (and appreciably so), but these are clearly meant to be enjoyed as soon as they emerge from the oven.

We stood around awkwardly for way too long before anyone acknowledged us, and when they finally did, it felt like we were inconveniencing them by existing. Zero sense of urgency, zero customer service. The pizza itself? Hugely disappointing. For something branded as "artisan," I expected something special. Instead, the crust was burnt on the bottom and somehow still doughy inside, the sauce was overly sweet, and the toppings were skimpy at best. It honestly tasted like a frozen pizza trying to cosplay as fancy. Definitely not worth the price they're charging. What really sealed the deal was the owner, Tino. Instead of stepping in to improve the experience, he came off as a cocky prick who clearly thinks his food is untouchable. There was this smug, dismissive attitude -- like customers should feel lucky just to be there. Any feedback or questions were met with condescension rather than professionalism. If that's the tone being set from the top, it explains a lot about how the place is run. The whole atmosphere had this weird pretentious vibe, like if you don't "get it," that's somehow your fault. Sorry, but if you're charging premium prices, the least you can do is serve food that's consistently good and treat people with basic respect. By the time we left, we all agreed the same thing -- we should've gone literally anywhere else. There are way better pizza spots that cost less, taste better, and don't make you feel unwelcome. Hard pass. Won't be back, and I wouldn't recommend it to anyone.

Normally we stay away from pasta restaurants unless there's something unique to it. However, Pastiamo hit a home run immediately. From Chef Francesca being ever present in the restaurant - from serving to seating - to the homemade focaccia you receive as a starter, it was an impeccable dining experience. Then you add the nice plates and simple, yet warm decor. You just can't go wrong. We split the forza Italia as an appetizer to get more of a focaccia kick. We loved the homemade bread. The three cheeses were a nice and complimentary touch. Also, dousing this with some freshly squeezed orange juice didn't hurt. For the main course, we split a pesto gnocchi and a tagliatelle alla Norma. The pasta was truly homemade. Felt super fresh. The sauces were great and not too oily or salty. I tried the burrata dip and lasagna, which were both beyond my expectations. The burrata dip was milky and rich with sweet / umami bursts of tomato. Paired with thin focaccia and savory crisps, the appetizer made for amazing bites that I still think about. The lasagna was rich and flavorful. Layers of rich meat sauce, cheese, and bechemal were savory, nutty, hearty - a satisfying bite on the colder days. The casual appearance had me fooled me a bit on the price, especially the burrata dip. I definitely had some sticker shop. The dip was $18 and the lasagna was around $24. Both these prices are reasonable for the area but were more expensive than I would pay for a casual lunch. It's also a bit too casual for me to consider for a nicer dinner, so Pastiamo falls in a gray zone for me on the pricing.
