It is a sad day when you can't get a lunch order delivered correctly! Our employees placed an order for delivery for approximately 11 people at lunch time today. The majority of the order was delivered cold, not warm....stone cold. It was delivered late but they did let us know it was going to be about 45 minutes. Multiple orders were wrong, others were simply a mess. He offered no help, no answers and left abruptly. We all work for the same law firm and were appalled by the delivery mans insistence on collecting for the order before we had a chance to see if it was all there!!! He grabbed payment and flew out the door.... The orders were wrong.... The delivery was extremely late... The food was stone cold ... A few orders were missing... The delivery person was rude and Kurt.... No effort was made to rectify the situation... Employees were left without a lunch. As it turns out, we found out that the delivery man was the same man that co-owned the restaurant. When we called he said he was in fact the assistant manager then made all kinds of excuses for the poor service and product. When we asked for the owner, he admitted he was a partner. He then wanted to talk to his partner (the cook) to see what we could do. Hard to tell if any of this was the truth. I offered a chance to redeem himself and his restaurant and no response was ever made. He mentioned that he was selling the restaurant soon! No surprise. It's been 4 hours and lunch is over. In order to help my employees I had to buy about $35 in lunches from another restaurant so they could eat. For the record, we have been in business for many years with a very large staff and have ordered delivery services from dozens of local restaurants and had no issues. The Juke Box Diner is by far the worst ever in attitude, service a product quality. It doesn't surprise me that they were going out of business. It will be a tall task for someone to recover from this reputation.... Good luck to the next owner. read more

I was excited to finally try Jukebox Diner. I was with my husband and son for lunch. We were seated quickly. There were only a few others customers. We sat for awhile without service and I was about to suggest we leave because my husband only has an hour for lunch but the server finally came over. We ordered our 3 meals. I was worried about how long it would take to prepare food but it came out quickly. Well, my husband and I got our food quickly. We flagged our server down who was staring at the floor behind the bar and asked about our sons food. He went back "to check on it" but in reality we watched him enter in the order. He forgot to order his food but blamed it on the kitchen for not preparing it. The food was actually pretty good but, dang, the service stinks. We've been looking for an after-church eating spot for years and I think we just found it! The steak and eggs we're excellent, I was expecting a tough, over cooked iron skillet steak, but got a tender tasty grilled one! The wife got the Louisiana scrambler and we both had clean plates. My husband and I went here last night for dinner. I ordered the fish and he ordered the Gyro. The fish may have been slightly over done but was still O.K....just not as good as the first time I had it there....a little rough this time. The gyro tasted fine, he thought....until roughly three hours later when he showed signs of food poisoning. He was great all day until we went out to the restaurant...not sure what may have been wrong or done wrong with his Gyro when it was put together/cooked...but he definitely got food poisoning from here. We had been here one time before like I mentioned and we had ordered the same thing...my fish tasted much better and the Gyro did not get him sick and we left feeling good and even hours later and the next day felt fine. This time not so much....and nothing had changed during the day food wise at home that day or day before....so that's how we definitely know it was the restaurant. We have only experienced food poisoning once before someplace else(few years ago) and now last night and this morning here we go again....WILL NOT be going to this restaurant anymore. This place is one of my favorites. All the breakfast foods are fantastic!! The coffee is also wonderful. It's a true diner. Oldies playing in the background, great decor, super clean. Highly recommend the eggs, rye toast and hash browns. The service had always been wonderful and the foods comes out very fast and super fresh. I mostly get breakfast food but have had their burgers and they are also delicious. Highly recommend this place. read more

The atmosphere here is great but the food is ok and the ladies room was nothing but a problem from the toilet paper to the location of hand soap dispenser, and the functionality of the paper towel dispenser! This place is huge, very worn and tired. The waiting area was dirty and bare wood where a pad used to be nowhere to sit. It was saturday night and hardly anyone was there. I ordered the meatball sub and didn't liked it at all. The meatballs were under cooked and fell apart (I like tightly packed meatballs like subway that you can bite into) There sauce has a funny bite to it and they put to much sauce on it and my bread was soaked by time i got it. I should know to order it with sauce on side and no extra on bread. My husband ordered steak and crab cake. The steak was actually ok but he wasn't pleased with the crab cake at all. I am a regular at Jukebox Diner in Manassas, and I love their food and their relaxed atmosphere. Their chicken souvlaki is delicious, their fries are some of the tastiest in the region, and their breakfast benedicts are all superb. The service is generally excellent. I used to come here a lot. I think I am the Duke or something... scary. Anywho, I used to come here a lot to get the country fried steak, eggs over easy, hash browns, white toast- lightly toasted. It's normally fairly decent enough for breakfast but the problem with this place is the service. There is a a heavy set young (not the older one) lady with light brown hair that works there that must really, really hate her job. She's disrespectful to customers and dismisses them as if she has something better to do. Most of the time I can just ignore the little things but when a customer is talking to an employee of the establishment, the waitress should probably wait to here what the customer has to say before she starts to walk away. This waitress starts to walk away before the customer is even finished with what they are saying. Super rude. If you don't like your job, you should probably look for another one. read more

Great place! Perfect 50's themed diner....super clean, large selection of food. Our waiter, Erich was fast, made great recommendations for the food, and added to a great experience for first time patrons. Wow! Again Wow if this review was for food only it would be five star. My husband and stopped in for a quick lunch today and order a mushroom and Swiss burger which came with fries and a pickle (we split it) and an order of onion rings as a starter. All of the food was amazing. WAY better than expected. It was all super fresh and REAL. the bacon on the burger was real bacon that they had fried (not microwave). The burger was hand patted out and juicy and just yum yum yummy. It blew five guys and even dare I say In and Out burger out of the water. Well well well worth it. The only downside was service was super duper duper slow. And when we asked them to cut the burger in half they said they weren't "allowed to". Regardless we WILL go again!! read more

My husband and I went back for a second time because we really enjoyed our dining experience but when we went back on Wednesday evening at 7:30 we were very disappointed with how we were greeted. We were the second couple to walk in, the first couple were seated right away and the waitress came up to us and said it would be five or ten minutes to be seated because the kitchen was backed up. There may have been 20 people in the place. Honestly. being the new kid on the block this does not sit well. You think you would have someone with a little more experience on how to greet the public. The food is top notch diner fare. Compliments to the chef here. Had the Ruben and my wife got the party melt. Both were excellent and good sized portions. Only giving three stars because the service is not very good. It was empty but it still took 15 mins to be greeted at the table and order drinks. Employees were too busy eating and talking. The food is AMAZING , but there was significant wait time because they seem to be short staffed. So, if you're looking for a part-time job as well, I would recommend checking them out too (LOL). I've only been twice and the first time I had to leave because of the wait, but I did come back when I had more time to spare since the customer service was great. The manager was very communicative while my bf and I waited plus, the food was DELICIOUS and the root beer float (several thumbs up... LOL). Seeing that no cars were in the parking lot, I should of left from there. I can see why no body was there. The other problem was that it took like 30 minutes just to cook my meal, AND NO ONE WAS THERE. I have gone to other breakfast places like i hop, Yorkshire, Denny's, and the Ashton Dinner. Out of all of the breakfast places I have been to, the Yorkshire Restaurant was the best. If you want awesome food, and cooked right, go to Yorkshire Restaurant or Denny's. (I like Yorkshire a little better) Jukebox had my food cooked wrong, tasted horribe, at a expensive price, service was very slow, and staff was not the best. They weren't really happy, and didn't have a smile on their face at all. This place was more expensive than all of the other restaurants. I was greeted warmly by the cook on entering. My server, Mona, was cheerful and attentive. I used a $10 New York strip steak coupon; it was cooked as I asked and very tender. Seasonal vegetables were cooked and seasoned to perfection. Banana in fruit cup was overripe, and along with the grapes and strawberries, had me wishing I'd ordered two sides of vegetables. This was the absolute worst dining experience I've ever had in my life. I am not from the area and decided to give this place a try for brunch while I was in the area for a concert the night before--worst mistake. First it took forever for our server to greet us and take our order. Then it took forever for us to get our food. After we finished eating we waited at least 30 minutes before our server came back to make sure we were done and bring us our checks. She messed the checks up and basically refused to fix it. Fast forward I'm trying to pay for my check with cash- a normal servers dream. Except this lady told me I couldn't pay in cash because she didn't have change!!!! What?! So suppose I didn't have a card to use?? I was literally mind blown. I reluctantly hand over my card only for her to come back and realize she had mixed up my card with my friends and swiped our cards on the wrong check! You think that's all that can go wrong right-- but no! Then she proceeds to ignore us for another 15 minutes before telling us there's nothing she can do about it. After an evening meeting, a colleague and I had dinner at the JBD after 7:30 pm. There were few people in the restaurant. We were able to sit down right away which was great. The decor reminded me of the show Happy Days. Guess the decor fits with the name. It was okay. I ordered the chicken breast sandwich with home fries and a salad. Since breakfast is served all day, I decided to order home fries in stead of french fries. I requested the chicken breast and the home fries be cooked without salt or seasoning (strict diet). The chicken was already marinated. The waiter assured me that the chicken would not taste salty. True to his word, the chicken didn't taste salty. Both the chicken and the home fries were really good. I can't say much about the salad. A salad is a salad. I didn't have any complaints. My colleague ordered breakfast (eggs, toast and pancakes). She said the food was good. Overall, I would return again if in the area for business. I would not make a special trip though. read more
