. a classic spot to hit up for a late night cheap eat . interior not so cool, just limited seating? mostly a stand eat and get out place when i went . too bad prices gone up the past few years but nothing can make me hate this place . located in dragon city center on the side such childhood nostalgia! . banh bao tastes like its just from the supermarket... maybe little worse but pay for what you get basis . service?? the people were okay? 2/3 people working at the time, quick service and the place got busy fast definitely got lucky to beat the rush/line

This location of Juicy Dumpling is in the midtown Toronto area along Yonge near Berwick Ave. Menu is exactly the same as their downtown location where the main reason why you go here is for the $3.99 soup dumplings (for 6 pieces!). They also have other offerings as well including pan fried juicy buns (4 pieces), buns, shumai, beef meatballs, etc. There is a few tables at this location for you to enjoy your food but I believe majority of people usually get their food to go. I stopped by Juicy Dumpling on a Sunday around noon. The place looked pretty quiet but as soon as I entered a few others entered after me. The store did have a weird smell (a garbage like smell) and I did notice they had their garbage and recycling bins near the front of the store. I ordered 2 soup dumplings and 1 pan fried juicy buns at the counter. Staff were friendly even though I messed up ordering my items the first time. My order was made at a reasonable time and I took them to go to enjoy at home. Food wise, the dumplings were great! I've only been to the Chinatown location but these were delicious as well. Can't beat the price! Overall, will return for more if I'm around the midtown Toronto area.

This location of juicy dumpling is located uptown near Yonge Eglinton. It is significantly less busy than the downtown Chinatown location. The menu at this location seems to be a bit smaller. Overall, it is quite similar however. The interior has seating for around 10-15 people as well as some claw machines. You can exchange cash for tokens. The food is good and a tasty snack but it isn't as cheap as it used to be.

Has Mini soup dumplings S1 and pan fried Shumai. In an area filled with options, they hold their own because of the variety and combination of food you can order. Service was fast. They have seating space as well. You can shelter from a snow storm and enjoy warm dumplings inside.

The midtown location is so disappointing and I much much prefer the downtown Spadina location! I came on the weekday around 2:30pm and there was one other customer aside from me. I waited a while at the counter because they had no system to alert the staff in the back if there is a customer at the front. There were two people working from what I could tell and they were chatting in the back until one of them noticed me and let the other know to come to the counter. I ordered the S1 just the usual pork soup dumplings (price is now 3.99 from the previous 2.99 back in the day haha). I handed them a $5 bill and she gestured to the machine. I did not know they were credit only? They also had a cash tip jar next to the pos machine... anyway not a big deal. While I was paying, the staff member was already putting my order in a plastic bag. It took no time at all. A bit too fast. At the condiments area there was only soy sauce and hot sauce I had to ask them for vinegar and sadly they seem to only have white vinegar and not black like the downtown location. When I opened the container, it was a bit sad. All the dumplings were deflated and each had a visible tear when I went to grab each one from the top. There was no soup inside each of them :( I think the worse part for me was the bottom of each dumpling was soggy. The skin was soggy so that the meat ball inside was so close to just tearing out from the bottom as I lifted each dumpling. I have never had this issue from other establishments and definitely not from the downtown location. I am not sure if they just gave me a prepared one that was sitting in the takeout container for ages or some other reason. I think I will stick to visiting the downtown location only.

We love this place for a cheap, delicious food. We usually order a few trays of the classic xiao long bao (soup pork dumplings) and some sesame balls. Sometimes maybe some scallion pancake or fried dough stick if we have family over. Still a cheap take out meal considering how many people are enjoying the meal. We share maybe 6 trays between 5 people along with some sides. 1.5-2 trays per person is filling enough without sides. The chicken wings have a cumin taste and are a bit spicy! The classic soup dumplings are the best. They used to be $2.99 for 6 but now everything on the menu has gone up in price. I tried the pan fried, but by the time they got home - they weren't crunchy anymore. Just tasted like a greasy version of the classic. We have also tried the pork and shrimp - it's not labeled which is which, but we didn't feel it was worth the extra cost. We love the sesame balls - it's sweet with a paste inside, dessert. Comes in sets of 5. We have tried the wonton soup and didn't feel it was worth $13 a bowl. So our fave items are classic pork steam soup dumplings and sesame balls!

Another Juicy Dumpling location? Hurray! I can never get enough of a good soup dumpling. Walking into this location, it has more space than the Spadina location but only a few tables if you were to dine in. It is more of a takeout spot. Surprisingly it was not busy and there was only one other customer when I visited on a Friday night. Even after driving the takeout back home, the dumplings tasted so good! Very juicy. The only thing is I think they could have given a couple more black vinegar packets. We ordered 5 boxes of Xiao long bao and they gave two vinegar packets.

This is a review for delivery Inevitably, once out of the steamer, the wrapper of the steamed pork mini soup dumplings ($2.99 for 6 pieces) will harden. Nevertheless, even with the delayed delivery (this Eglinton cross-town construction traffic is a bane to freshness) the dumplings held up so that I could still pick them up with chopsticks without any breakage. The filling was nicely seasoned, and the dumpling contained plenty of broth; I could only imagine how much better they'd be fresh. The same dumpling can be ordered pan-fried ($3.99 for 6 pieces) and that extra crust on the bottom, while not pronounced, makes it a little easier to deliver arriving warmer. However, considering the dish commands a 25% premium for this very lightly done crust, I'm not sure this extra step is worth the additional $1. I'd go with the pan-fried chicken dumplings ($3.99 for 4 pieces) instead, while it also could use more time on the grill, at least the dish is unique. These dumplings are bigger in size, just two are substantial, and the filling is much denser. Still, these weren't as nicely seasoned, so you really need a dipping sauce to counteract the bland chicken mixture.

When you're in midtown and craving dumplings, where do you go? Juicy Dumpling of course! I stopped by Juicy Dumplings to satisfy my dumpling cravings recently and picked up sanji bao in addition to their classic xiaolongbao. This is my first time trying their sanji bao and it was so good! Just remember to be mindful that there's soup inside. Some people recommend using a straw to sip the soup before eating it so it's less messy. I just bite into it being careful not to spill the soup all over me. This location is fast and efficient and their food is always fresh! Definitely the go to spot for dumplings at a great pricing!

Had this place bookmarked for a very long time before I finally admitted to myself that I was probably not going to make it in person - since, of course, these dumplings are best eaten piping hot. Unfortunately this is pretty much impossible with delivery. On the other hand, the flavours were fantastic even when lukewarm, and the burst of juice when biting into them was an absolute delight. Still a deal even on UberEats!

I been to this Juicy Dumpling location twice for takeout lunch. The service was fast and I got my food quickly. The food was hit and miss. I ordered the cumin deep fried chicken and it was very spicy! I could barely finish the dish. The pan fried green onion pancake was okay. It was tasty, but kind of greasy. The shrimp won ton in spicy sauce was delicious. The pan fried chicken dumplings were great. Would I go back? Probably since there isn't that many affordable Asian restaurants in that area. I would follow the other reviewers advice and order just the dumplings.

Juicy dumplings is my favourite spot for dumplings in Toronto. I have been here multiple times and I have never been disappointed. Everything is always perfect - price, wait time, dumplings are delicious and always fresh! I have tried the mini soup dumplings (pork) and pork and crab and pan fried chicken dumplings. My favourite are the mini pork soup dumplings. You get six pieces in a box and they are sufficient for one person. I would highly recommend getting one of the soup dumplings as they are tasty and definitely worth the price.

    Kelvin C.

Delicious and quick. Sometimes you really don't need much more than that. However, the real winner is picking up and eating it in your car around the corner while the food is still hot. If you're reading this because you're looking to Uber it, it slightly loses some of its appeal (at no fault of the restaurant, so no deduction in stars), because it's going to be colder and more expensive. Still good, but not so ideal.

This was first on our list, located in the Scotiabank Tower on Adelaide. We got a nice corner table, and the atmosphere was warm and inviting, not too loud but not library-like either. We were seated very promptly, and our server took care to attend to my friend's allergy. She even asked to change my friend's cutlery when another server brought the wrong salad. My appetizer was a hot-smoked salmon pâté, which was ok by itself, but eaten with the pickles gave it that taste I wouldn't forget. I chose for my main the Petit Roast Dinner; the cut was excellent, full of flavour and juicy to boot. The gravy for said cut just brought the roast to another level. The sides were delicious as well, especially the crispiness of the potatoes. A clean plate was the end result! Finally to finish the meal, I chose the chocolate banoffee cheesecake - I never pass on any cheesecake when it's offered. And it didn't disappoint! The banana brûlée was an interesting touch, while having toffee sauce drizzled on the cheesecake was a first (and not definitely last) for me! All in all, it was a nice introduction to The Rabbit Hole, and I can't wait to go down there again!

Very helpful and pleasant people. I wanted something small, so opted for their pork tacos. You get 3 small pork tacos for $14.75, which is pretty good in terms of value. They were surprisingly meaty, and tasted decent. They would probably make a good sharing item for the table as they were quite salty. Now, if this were a taqueria, I would not be impressed with the tacos. So if you are expecting "proper" tacos, don't order them. Go to a taqueria, lol. But this is a corporate chain pub in a city, whose main goal is to make a large swathe of people happy. So within this context, I think they did a good job. I would totally be ok to come back and try something else another time. I also had a local hazy IPA which was lovely. Overall, it was a good experience and I would go there again.

The first course was Labneh with bread, hummus, & beef tartare. Second course was Lamb pide & pear salad. Third course was grilled branzino, middle eastern fried chicken, black truffle rice, and thrice cooked fries. Then there was dessert which was chocolate mousse cake & baklava. Because of my many food allergies the main server for our table was very attentive & specific in asking me what I wanted as modifications. For example I got a wagyu beef pide instead of the lamb. Every dish was really delicious, presented well & quite filling. I couldn't eat all of the food. Though I tried almost everything. Service: The pacing of the dishes was quite masterful. They really paid attention to when the food was going to come out. As I mentioned above the main server was very attentive to my food allergies. I really appreciated that as some restaurants aren't as attentive. The food was served family style so everyone could take what they wanted from the serving dishes. The dishes were served in little bowls along the tables with each bowl serving about 4 people. We had asked for one long table so it was a little snug. But we made it work. Ambiance: For dinner the lighting of the space is really dim. LOL. I would have appreciated just a little bit more light. The restaurant is in an old building so to use the washroom you had to go down two flights of stairs. The dining area is small also. But it's a pretty space. As mentioned above we asked for one long table to seat 15 people. I was expecting square tables but it was a bunch of small round tables pushed together. So the tables were really crowded with food from all the dishes. But the servers made sure to take empty serving dishes away as soon as possible. The music was a little loud for me so I had to yell to be heard. The place was packed though. Everyone at our table enjoyed the food, the service & atmosphere. The restaurant is close to Roy Thompson Hall & the other theatres nearby so it's a convenient location as well. It's too bad this place is only open for dinner. I would have loved to see how they would operate a lunch time service. In any case, Byblos was amazing. I would come back here again to try other dishes! But after a long day and an even busier evening, I got back to the hotel famished. I grabbed a seat at the bar, ordered a drink, and listened to a podcast to wind down. It was exactly what I needed. The drink, Nutty Times, was not only delicious but the presentation was exciting too. The bartender was witty, he advised everyone near us at the bar to whip out our phones, because he was about to put on a show. Check out the video I added!
