My partner and I loveeeeed acai bowls on the west coast so we've tried to copy a favorite bowl of ours. We ordered the pura vida bowl and added some toppings. This was my first time visiting this store, and my drink was not made correctly. When I politely told the employee that the drink didn't taste right and wasn't the right color, she told me she couldn't remake it unless I paid again. While helping me, she was also talking with her friend the entire time, which felt unprofessional. I've always had great experiences at Smoothie King before, so this was surprising. A successful business is built on good employees, and when loyal team members are not valued, it affects the atmosphere, morale, and ultimately the customer experience. It is frustrating to see a place that once had such a positive environment lose the people who made it special. I hope upper management takes a closer look at what is happening at this location and listens to both employees and customers before more damage is done.
