I've been trying to take better care of myself. There's always room for improvement. I'm recently single and struggling to cut a god da*n 25 year plus smoking habit, Detox should be my middle name. But one morning I found myself in Austin (after an online date in Austin ;) ) so I stopped at this place. It was AMAZING!! The only reason I"m giving it 4 stars is because the smoothie I got cost over $10!! DAYUM-that was for a medium!! I think it was called a Kaleinator or Kalebrator a somethingmuchcallit . JAYSUS but honestly this thing ROCKED my world. I ain't one for fancy smoothies but this place is making me reconsider. I've been reconsidering a lot lately. Was it worth throwing away almost 20 years with someone b/c of a few hiccups in our marriage? Will I ever REALLY quit smoking? Is $14 for a smoothie too much?? "You are right, okay, universe! I should have a smoothie instead," I shouted in my car as I pulled up to JuiceLand, expecting Cutie Pies. Yes, I took the hint. Not only that, but I resolved then and there that from now on, it was only green smoothies and juices for me: Kale, spinach, parsley, spinula, and wheatgrass. I walked in and was greeted, so enthusiastically that it threw me off, and then was asked what I want and then quickly added that he could help me pick something out. I shot my "shut up and let me think" look without intending to do so. (Sorry, but two minutes ago, I had the realization that I was having a smoothie instead of pie, y'all, so I was experiencing that unsettling sensation like when you drink milk but you thought you were going to drink o.j. My brain was adjusting.) They offer a variety of juices and smoothies that have more than three ingredients. Thanks, JuiceLand, for combining fruits and vegetables with creativity and taste in mind! Every one of them sounded different and chalk full of good for me stuffs. I couldn't decide between the Tikal (pineapple * papaya * ormus supergreens * lime * mint) or Hawai'i 5 (pineapple * mango * spirulina * lemon). I talked it over with the guy behind the counter and he convinced me to go with the Tikal since mint is just so refreshing on a hot day. Since then, I have also had the Peachy Green (spinach * kale * apple * peach). These mixtures are so yummy and bright! Yes, it cost more than other juice places, but all the different ingredients is a good reason why. For the record, I am not asking that every gelato and cupcake joint in town become a juice bar. I am just thrilled that a fresh fruit and juice bar is in my neighborhood. Not that Daily Juice is that far, but this location is so close to me and it offers the same freshness and no-banana attitude I appreciate of all my smoothies. They do have specials on their drinks, which I appreciate because it encourages me to try something new and it is less expensive. Of course, my juicer at home is now whispering to me, "You know, I can make you some tasty drinks too." Yes, it is true. I really like JuiceLand, but in particular I love this one, mainly because it's in an area that's a bit of a wasteland as far as healthy options are concerned. I work up in this area, and it's tough to find many good-for-you, allergy-friendly options up in Big Box Land. So JuiceLand is a bit of an oasis. The juices are well-documented goodness, but I'm here to rave about the food and snacks they carry. They're a bit innocuous, housed in a little fridge case to the right of the cash register, but they are so incredibly good and worth trying. Everything is gluten free and vegan as well, I think. The noodles with edamame are delicious and filling, and the kale salad is a healthy dose of greens with a tasty, umami dressing on top and crunchy sunflower seeds. The most epic is the coconut pudding. Smooth, creamy, a bit sweet and absolutely dairy free. Swoon. The location is a bit hard to find, since it's smooshed in next to a bunch of other stores, but look for the giant carrot out front. read more

First time to Juice Land. I normally get my Juices at the Gateway Whole Foods and was excited to not have to go in to the Whole Foods parking lot or deal with the Whole Foods zombie customers. Ordered a 24oz "The Fountain" with Cayenne pepper and B12 shot added. Ingredients: Carrot, Ginger, Beet, Kale, Spinach, Parsley, Celery, Wheatgrass The total came to about $12.80 The drink was very reddish orange (beets and carrots) When I started drinking it I could not taste the ginger and it had a very strong carrot taste. I couldnt taste the cayenne pepper and dont feel it had much, if any of the kale, spinach, parsely, celery or wheatgrass. The girl even asked me 'do you like spicy' when she suggested the cayenne. Couldnt even taste spice from the ginger let alone the cayenne. I'll probably try the place again but it left me wondering "How can I *REALLY* know they put all the things I requested into my very expensive employee made Juice?" Literally obsessed with the peachy green. I love all of their smoothies, smoothie bowls and tons of vegan lunch options. I'm not a huge fan of their fresh juices only because they don't seem to have simple juice flavors, instead they are blends with a lot of different things in them which kind of upsets my stomach since fruit can be acidic. I was really craving something that would quench my thirst so, I happened in here for an aguas fresca. I ordered the watermelon raspberry in a large size and it was a little under $5.00. The staff was energetic and having a great time dancing to some music while making my order. I read an article about juicing and scanned their pre-packaged items that they had while waiting. This fresca was delightful. The perfect balance without being too sweet! I didn't even realize it but, I drank half of it before I even got home. I think I will try some of their juicing products. Great menu! Proly my favorite juice bar. Nice big selection of juices, smoothies, shots & other natural drinks. The menu is pretty diverse. They've got something for the experienced juicer and for someone just looking for something sweet. The staff know their products well and can make recommendations based on what you do and don't like. Have them make some recommendations for you the first time cause the menu can be a bit much. You can tell they put a lot of thought behind not only what's in their drinks but also in how they taste. The Originator was my first drink & it tastes like a peanut butter & jelly sandwich. That sounds weird for a smoothie but it was surprisingly good. I've had about 12 different smoothies, juices & shots and enjoyed all but one. Prices are relatively cheap in my opinion but they do have a couple $13 smoothies I've stopped by for a couple shots before when I wasn't feeling well. Took the Medicine Man & the Noni To Fear shots on a recommendation. The Noni To Fear is serious business but the Medicine Man was no joke! Order a chaser. This location has a small patio with a few picnic tables outside. I've camped out here for a couple hours before to use the free WiFi. I'm a big fan of this spot. read more

I started drinking juice with hesitation as I had not been a big veggie fan for most of my life but then I learned I really liked green juices and hated red juices and once I found my base the world really opened up. But there was always one thing I didn't care for and that was smoothies. I did not care for the mouth feel of veggies in my smoothies. Finally I tried the peachy green and I loved it. Now I rarely order juice and have branched out on my smoothies to the protein smoothies. My favorite smoothies to date. Peachy Green. TaTonka, GunShow, and Veggie Kingdom. I have wanted to try the Hulk but it has intimidated me for awhile. My favorite juice is the TigerLilly and I have been trying to get up the courage to try the Ninja Bachelor Party but I am not a fan of most savory juices. The peachy green is also really good if you add Hemp protein as well. It is the best way to start out and see if you like it before going further. This location is a bit hard to find. I really love their menu, their cleanses are great and it's just a really good experience every time I go there. Some of my favorite smoothies include: Triple Double Bombaataa (my favorite) Originator Wondershowzen Some of the dessert smoothies are great too. Plus, fwiw, the music selection there is great. One time I went in there, the music was just blasting and I could barely hear the lady who was taking my order. Rather than be offended, I thought it was kinda cool. My fiancee and I were visiting Austin (we're from SoCal) for the day about a week and a half ago. We were REALLY craving a nice healthy smoothie, and so when she Googled "austin smoothie shop near me", this is what came up first. And um...bruh. This place was borderline life-changing. Friendly service immediately from when we walked in the door. (Really wish I could remember the cashier's name, but I don't remember.) We were staring at the menu and looking around for a while (side note: we fangirled over their wall of baseball cards). The cashier noticed we were taking our time and asked if we needed any help. So, I told her it was our first time in Austin, and therefore our first time at JuiceLand. She went through the menu and their juice/smoothie supplements with us, even giving us a poster detailing all of their supplements (ours to keep, still have it) and a to-go menu (ours to keep, still have it as well). Finally, we ordered. She got the Ta Tonka and I got the Percolator, with added peanut butter. Both were absolute blended perfection (agave water in the Ta Tonka was divine, and cold-brew coffee in an organic smoothie, the Percolator, is about is Austin as it could get for me). Still, the cashier noticed we were a bit run down as far as energy goes (our red-eye flight in had left us dead tired, and we hadn't slept all day). So she informs us of their selection of shots, which we were looking at earlier, and proceeds to bring us two FREE shots (these "shot cups" were like the Big Gulp of all shot cups) of yerba mate, which was their most highly-caffeinated shot on the menu. Complementary, no money, no questions asked. Did it as a favor to us. Not only did that get us both HOOKED on yerba mate, it cemented this place as the friendliest restaurant of ANY kind--juice bar or otherwise--that we'd ever been to. JuiceLand, you made fans of us. What kind of bars do I go to you ask? Juice bars! And JuiceLand is one of them. It's always a nice feeling when you look at the menu and every option is healthy. I love their smoothies. The iced chill texture suits me better than the liquid juices. My first time here, I got the Valley Girl which was too sour in my opinion. I needed that slushie taste to fully enjoy the freshness of the drink. They also have some interesting shots you can try. But please don't take a zillion shots here to try impressing your friends...because I guarantee you they won't be impressed. read more

On a recent ski trip, I mentioned that I was going to need a blender along with some spinach, frozen bananas, rice milk and peanut butter. Without missing a beat, one of my friends asked me if this was some sort of hangover cure and I realized that I was going to have my work cut out for me if I wanted to make my standard smoothies for the group. I guess a lot of smoothie recipes taste a whole lot better than they sound and such is the case with many of juicelands creations. Anyway... Its a bit expensive, but that should be expected with most juice places. the first time i went i got a smoothie with berries an pb in it i think its called the originator, the second time i opted for two green cold pressed juices that they have pre-bottled in their cooler. I've only been to Juiceland once but, holy moly, I loved it! Their menu is huge with lots of variety, so take your time! (They are very nice about answering what's the popular drinks, what the special for the day is, etc.) I ventured here with my roommate one Saturday afternoon and I got the peach watermelon agua fresca and she got the cold shower "next level" juice. My drink was PERFECT. Super refreshing and cool for a hot, humid Texas day. Their agua frescas are sweetened with agave nectar so it was just the right amount of sweet and you can obviously tell it wasn't loaded with a bunch of sugar and syrups. The price for my medium drink was LESS than $3! I was definitely impressed! My roommate got a cold shower juice and it was quite tasty also. Not fruity at all as it has parsley, cucumber, ginger and such in it. It was more expensive though, along the lines of $8 for a medium, so if you're looking for a cheap drink, then I would just go for the agua frescas. Overall, I loved Juiceland! The menu is expansive. There are some things you probably won't like, but there are many more that you will. The staff is friendly and knowledgable about the smoothies and juices, the add-ons, and they're happy to make recommendations. Some of my coworkers are skeptical that you can eat a smoothie for lunch. "How can that fill you up?" I'm a pretty big guy -- any of the large smoothies is enough. Yeah, some of the menu options are expensive but there are plenty that are economical. Occasionally, I'll buy a $15 smoothie but I've never felt like I was being gouged. I'm on the hunt for good matcha in Austin. Their hot matcha latte was too sweet. It tasted powdery? I wasn't sure. My friend tasted it too and confirmed that the texture was powdery. I didn't taste any matcha. The taste reminded me of the Vietnamese three bean colored dessert. I had to dilute it with a green tea bag at home to ease the sweetness. Deliciousss. I've come in twice, and I've been thoroughly impressed both times. I was skeptical because in all honestly, who would pay ~$6 (and more) for a smoothie? However, Juiceland's got high quality and interesting ingredients (not to mention healthy). The specials are great deals and allow you to get a taste of what they have to offer. Delicious! I might never go to a ninja bachelor party but I will certainly drink one. I have tried all their juices and they are all magnificent but NBP is my reigning favorite, just a great balance of sweet, salty and spicy. I particularly love that they have it pre-pressed to go when I'm in a pinch. The patio at this location is extra-lovely and I am lucky enough to live within walking distance, which means when I do have time I enjoy my juice on their patio. I don't do the waters or the smoothies so I can't speak to those, but I love their juices and am totally partial to NBP. 4* because they are quite expensive, but saves me the headache of buying and chopping veggies and cleaning a juicer. read more

Should it really take 19 minutes to get a smoothie? I placed my order at 9:17am for a small smoothie. 15 minutes laters I walked up to the counter to peek in the back. It was just sitting on a counter with a couple others. It sat there for another 4 minutes before someone finally brought mine and a couple of others out. I finally got my smoothie at 9:36. With 3 employees, I don't think this should happen. The store was busy, but not super crowded. 3 people in line. 3 others beside myself waiting. 1 person working counter and 2 in back making orders. At Daily Juice this isn't a problem - they bring them out one at a time as they're made. As a former food service and retail manager, this level of customer service leaves me perplexed. I like their juices and smoothies which is why I'm giving it an overall 2 stars. But the speed of service and employee time management leaves a lot to be desired. read more

My friend and I ate here and had such a delicious time! We shared a falafel wrap and tabouli with hummus, or maybe it was couscous? As my friend said "it's literally all the same" haha. All Juiceland locations are not created equal, it seems. I stopped by today around 11:45, there was 4 people in line already. Meanwhile 2 people are waiting on their order and then 4 more people show up behind me. There is one girl taking orders, the phone rings. She answers and starts taking phone orders. So this means that the line we're in definitely isn't moving because now the phone order(s) is taking precedence over the actual in person customers. Meanwhile the crew in the kitchen keeps looking up at the growing line, no one ever comes out to help with said line though. No one comes to help answer the phone, or help the people who are waiting to have their orders taken. I take notice that there is a second register station, however--no one is coming to help. 20 minutes later I get up to the person to make my order, and they are out of mango, which is the main ingredient in the smoothie I wanted to order. Then, as I'm in the middle of ordering, the cashier answers the phone yet again, to take a phone order. Never again. I'll go back to the 45th location from now on. This location is far from a convenient stop. read more
