Chose to eat here for 2 friend's birthdays and it was amazing! Our server was young a quirky which added to the charm of this very tiny restaurant. Don't let its size food you however.. what they lack in space, they make up for in flavor! We got multiple alcoholic beverages as well as 2 different sake flights. Highly recommend the sake flights! The food was super yummy, rice was done perfectly and the Kimchi was next level!

Juche is a cute little Korean spot in St Paul. I really was excited to try it, but sadly, it left a lot to be desired. Went on a Saturday night at about 7:30. We were a party of 3 and they were able to sit us pretty much right after adding ourselves to the waitlist. The ambiance is cute. Dark, but cute. They have little lights at each table which is great for being able to see the menu. After we got the menus, we had to ask for everything else... we had to ask for water, refills, plates, chopsticks, boxes - you know, the usuals that are usually given to you. Out of the 4 people that brought food, took our order, or refilled water, only one had a slight smile. Instead of a greeting when a new person approached the table to take our order, they say.. did you look? Then we get to the food - I probably should have read more of the descriptions but we quickly ordered since did you look meant, seemingly meant are you ready to order? We ordered a carafe of peach lychee soju, beef dumplings, spicy crispy tofu, cute jumbo wings, and General Khan. The last three listed had the same flavor profile, just varying levels of spice. Spicy crispy tofu - barely crispy but is spicy! Cute jumbo wings - tasted just like the sauce from the tofu, just not as spicy. General Khan - again, same sauce but with no spice. Beef dumplings and soju were good. I would be open to trying this place again if I was with someone who really wanted to try it, but would not order any of the same items.

Juche, this is one of my all-time favorite late-night date nights! Lol you literally can't go wrong with anything on this menu something for everyone! The staff is so friendly and if you like a small quiet place to have a quick bite definitely a good place to go. Also, the mock tails are so delicious. I love the Chingoo!

Another hidden gem! Juche is a cute little Korean lounge hidden along an unassuming street in Saint Paul. I'd been wanting to try it for a while, so we stopped in for dinner recently and somehow secured a spot right away! (The entire restaurant has roughly six tables with additional bar seating so definitely plan ahead if you want to stop by). When you walk in you immediately see a QR code for the waitlist, the bathroom, and a curtain entrance to the main lounge. It's small, but the lighting is great and we enjoyed the ambiance. I've been on the lookout for dumplings that melt in your mouth nearby, and this is the closest I've gotten since my Chicago trip. Highly recommend ordering some to share as well as the kimchi fried rice. Truly mind blowing (and spicy). The bulgogi burger was a little juicy for me but the flavor was great. The drinks were also delicious and I loved the unique cocktail options! Within intimate settings, I look for stellar all around service and I was a little disappointed in the food runners. That being said, the food, drinks, and server completely made up for it. This spot is PERFECT for anyone with a gluten sensitivity and I definitely recommend it to anyone else in the mood for good Korean eats!

Wow, this place literally blew my mind! Such an amazing experience, the food, the owner, his family who worked alongside with him just created such a beautiful atmosphere. The way this spot was decorated what so cool and vibey! I got blessed to visit and eat here a few weeks ago, right at the end of my work trip in Minneapolis. The night before coming back home to San Diego, my group and I were looking for somewhere to eat after a long day of work, and we found the coolest little Korean spot in Minnesota. First and foremost the food was incredible. So much flavor and the spices were out of this world. The owner brought out a variety of spices to try with our food and it was such an spectacular explosion of flavors. We love spice so it got pretty spicy lol. We also tried a variation of different sojus that the owner recommended and they were all very enjoyable. A million percent will be coming back here next time we make it to Minneapolis. If you're lucky enough to be in the area it's a MUST try type of spot that you'll be excited to come back to!

The food is good, the service is good, and the atmosphere is fun! I ordered the Bibimbap with bulgogi and crispy rice. It was good. The veggies were fresh, the bulgogi was flavorful and tender, and the rice was uniquely prepared and crispy. The rice was a little bit challenging to eat though because it was in a ball shape and kind of hard. If I ordered this again, I would go with the steamed rice instead. The kimchi was very strong and more on the sour side too. I would have preferred it to be less sour, but it still went okay with the dish. And I was disappointed that the $6 add on portion of bulgogi was pretty small. I've had bulgogi bibimbaps at Korean restaurants for $14-$15. For me, $23 is too much. Overall, I'd give 3.75 for the taste of food, atmosphere, service, and -0.75 for the price. I like the restaurant and I'd come back, but I'd probably go to a small mom and pop Korean restaurant instead to get bibimbap.

I've been here a million times since I first tried it. This is my favorite spot as my partner is gluten free. We're sad that the bindaetteok is off the menu for now, but the new spicy noodles were amazing (and very spicy!). My new favorite is the Mackerel. I get it every time.

We came here after my husband saw a video about this new place. It looked like a cool spot. However, I have to give the food 3/5. Parking * Street parking only. We came on a weeknight around 6 pm and it was quite full because the restaurant is so small. Limited seating so make sure to plan ahead. * There is an option to add yourself to the waitlist but no waiting room. Food * Class Korean food is known for its rich flavor and all three selections we picked seemed to be missing that richness. Flavor was mild and I would have wanted more. * Green onions are used for toppings so if you don't like green onions, make sure to clarify with your server. * Korean fried rice: tasted plain to me * Japchae: had the most flavor I was looking for but I tasted more vinegar than usual. * Pork belly: good texture but wanted a stronger flavor. Drinks * We got a flight of soju infused with different flavors. Original soju is not my preference so my husband tried them all. * I got the LAV and it was refreshing and decent. We make a similar drink so it was different with soju. Service * Good. Our waitress was attentive.

Super cute and tiny! Service was great, waiter was very knowledgeable about the menu. The food was a bit overpriced in my opinion. The chicken wings were too heavily battered. Loved the Tteokbokki, it was full of flavor and not too overcooked or soggy. The cucumber kimchi was so refreshing, it's a side, we just asked for more cause I'm obsessed with cucumber kimchi. The pork belly was cooked perfectly and a generous portion. I think they took the yachaejeon off the menu, I don't see it anymore, which is fine because it was on the bland side. Overall it was cute place, decent food, worth a try!

I'm rarely in St Paul and wanted a late night snack and found this little spot. Loved the lighting and it was a chill vibe. I got 5 cute wings and a salmon rice dip. Both very tasty and wings were hot which is what I like. I did order a drink and usually I get that to sip while waiting on my food but some of my food came out first, so kind of weird. Other than that, I enjoyed myself.

Love this little Korean eatery on an unassuming street in Saint Paul. We came early since we have kids, and they did have a nice kids coloring book. The food is super authentic; I had the tteokbokki and Korean Fried Chicken wings, both were amazing. My wife loved the maceral, and my parents liked the burger and bi bim bap. We spend a lot of time talking to both owners, who obviously care a lot about their restaurant and customers; it's always great when proprietors do that. They also have a us a few things to sample that are off-menu, which was cool. Half of the menu is dairy-free, but be sure to check if you are looking for that. Parking was easy and prices were good for the quality. We will be back to try the drinks!

Fantastic Korean and Korean fusion - so many fun combos of crunchy/spicy/tangy/umami/sweet. Everyone in our group loved what they ordered and can't wait to come back. The drink menu was also fun! Ambience is a K-pop party. We did get there right at 5:30 and there was a bit of a line, but we were seated right away.

Our first time here and we really enjoyed it! The ambiance is fun , the service was great and the food was delicious. We had the beef and vegan bulgogi and the potstickers. Will definitely come back.

I have been here two times in the last week and lemme tell ya.. this is quite the spot. I do suggest making a reservation because everytime I go here it is popping! What a vibey place, the lights aren't too bright, it gives a hip, fun, light energy and is not too pretentious but has INCREDIBLE FOOD AND DRINKS. Right now, one of their specials is whitefish toast.. if you enjoy fish at all, you need this. The fish is light and fresh, they put fresh dill on top and it is placed on top of some toasted sourdough bread perfectly. The fish is flavorful, a lil earthy and I feel as if there are capers or olives in in the fish mixture, whatever it is is fire! The burrata, beets, and citrus is a nice lovely, fresh, light app, the burrata is perfection with the beets and fresh, juicy citrus, drizzled with some oil and random pieces of garlic mixed in, YUM. I suggest ordering bread on the side with this one! The wings here are a staple and always delish. Crispy, hot, and coated perfectly in a light sweet chili sauce.. they hit the spot everytime. The housemade ranch is a perfect dipper. The other day I tried the chorizo and scallops... oh my goodness gracious.. it was a lil spicy and creamy with the bean puree and the scallops were buttery, light and divine! 10 outta 10 would do again. Finally, got the goat cheesecake, gluten free ginger snap crust with poached pears. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE I want this now and in every lifetime! The cheesecake was light, yet decadent, deep, creamy with a light, unassuming flavor. The crust was delicious and the poached pears added that perfect fruit component. I got Liam as my server both times, he was helpful, attentive, had good suggestions when asked questions and didn't interrupt at all, amazing! This is the spot for any occasion!

The dining area is so noisy, and the tables are jammed into each other - there is no way to get in or out without bumping into another chair - but for good food at acceptable prices, it was worth it. After the last visit, the food isn't worth it for me. On this most recent stop, several of the regular items i had gotten had been discontinued, and I could find nothing else that was appealing, so I went with their omelette special. It was disgusting. I ate the individual elements by themselves, so that it wouldn't be a total waste, but much of the bacon just tasted bad - not undercooked - just bad, like they didn't know how to make bacon. I had to repeat my order several times. Overall the waitstaff did the best they can, kept a good attitude and I appreciate that. They didn't seem to have a full bar. They had to few dark liquors, bottles of beer, & maybe 4-5 tap beers on tab. The food was priced the same as any other bar. $10 for a plate of wings. I think it's fair. The buffalo wings were not good in my opinion. They were a bit slimy/soggy. The buffalo flavor was very light & didn't have a lot of flavor. I also ordered fries, they were not salted which is fine but all I'm saying is there was nothing special about them. They were also a little soggy. The atmosphere was good. It was set up really cute with traditional dining seating (tables and chairs) and also a chill chairs, couches and coffee tables. They had multiple TVs, playing different channels. Very nice setup. The bar was in the middle of the restaurant. The only complaint I have is that the stools at the bar aren't high enough, unless you are very tall. The bar is way too high.

Our bartender Dan was very accommodating and nice. He even offered that we try the different beers on tap before choosing.! Sadly the place seems like an afterthought as a restaurant for the hotel. For appetizers we got the fried chicken wings and nachos. The nachos had a abundance of lettuce and cheese but not quite enough meat and the tortilla chips themselves were a bit too hard for my taste. The wings though were good..! The were plain salt and pepper but real wings, freshly fried, and un-breaded. Can't go wrong except with the prep, but nope, these were fried perfectly. Still moist and good to the bite. I had the walleye sandwich which I thought was good, pretty decent. The breading was crispy and fluffy and the walleye wasn't 'super fresh' tasting but it didn't have a fishy taste so 'decent' quality? The bun and presentation of the plate itself was great. It came in a flaky and crisp, but firm bun with fresh romaine lettuce and tartar/white sauce served along side waffle style potato chips. The potato chips seemed to be old and stale and/or soft... :( but the sandwhich itself was solid. Good texture and quality but not really much flavor. I'd say the place was okay but I would be hesitant to try it again unless I was staying at the hotel.
