Tried out this airline and airport for the very first time. Initially the experience was a bit rough as they could not locate my airline reservation and they kept stating my company had not paid the full amount for the fare. However after getting my company on the call and speaking to the personnel Char was kind enough to help me resolve the situation. She even honored the seat selection that I had requested since there were plenty of seats available. She explained the process to me since it was my first time at airport and flying with their plane. However after this incident the rest was smooth sailing everyone seemed really kind even our flight attendant. This airport was also so much nicer and bigger than the hobby location that I visited and had many snack options as well as flavored water stations and nice coffee machines with different coffee options to pick from. Overall not a bad experience and will give them another try in the future.

We flew JSX from Dallas to Miami and it was a great experience! Having never flown this airline before, I wasn't really sure what to expect, but I was pleasantly surprised at how relaxed and stressfree the whole process was. The flight leaves out of a hanger that is not part of the main terminal at Love Field. There is only valet parking so it's best to have someone drop you off or utilize a ride-share service. We made our way into the lobby and the desk agent was very nice and we were invited to wait in the lounge for our plant to board. While the lounge is nothing fancy, it's clean and not chaotic like a standard airline terminal. There are complementary beverages and snacks in the lounge as well as different seating configurations for the wait. There was also an abundance of free outlets for charging or working, which is a nice plus. The restrooms were very clean and it was rather peaceful in there, unlike restrooms at the airport. I guess you just get used to the hustle and bustle at busy airports, but this was so refreshing to not see a bathroom with a long line . Even though our flight was delayed, JSK was very communicative about the delay. Sometimes that happens and there isn't anything to really do about that. Once it was time for us to board, we went through a security check- which was like the most pleasant one ever. Once on the tarmac you board the plane. The seats were roomy and the flight itself was very smooth. Drink service and snacks were served once we got to cruising altitude. The array of options were great, and I really enjoyed exploring some of the snack options from brands I was unfamiliar with. The flight attendant; Patricia, was so professional and kind. You could tell she absolutely loves what she does and it just really showed in all the attention to detail she gave each task. She did a tremendously wonderful job. Landing was a breeze. They unload the luggage off the plane before you exit, so you just grab your bag from the tarmac. So easy! As mentioned earlier, our flight attendant Patricia did an excellent job, but I'd be remiss if I failed to mention how great all the employees we came into contact with at JSX were. They were all lovely. I'm looking forward to flying with them again soon. Thank you JSX!

I flew JSX for the first time out of DAL on the way to Cabo direct. Let me tell you it was great. Upon arrival you are met my JSX valet staff that park your car for you. As soon as you enter the terminal you check your bag and check in for your flight. The staff were super friendly and helpful and got our bags checked into the flight. In the terminal you have access to all kinds of complimentary snacks and a sparking/flavored water dispenser. We had to show up an hour early for our international flight but you can arrive only 30 minutes before a domestic flight. We waited until they called our flight 15 minutes before departure and went through a fast bag scan for our carry on personal item and then out to the aircraft. It is played out in a 1x1 format so lots of room. The seat have huge first class legroom and very comfortable. The pilots and flight attendant were very nice and engaging. Once airborne we had the best snacks and drinks at no additional cost and no one ever said no to additional snack and drink requests. The process getting off at our destination was just as easy. The experience is a 6 out of 5!

Once you get a taste of JSX, it's going to be hard going back to normal commercial airlines! Parking is valet only, so it's recommended that you arrive via Uber/Lyft/Taxi/car service. This terminal was pretty efficient, and check-in only took a couple of minutes. The check-in process involves a bag swab for explosives, tagging your checked bags, and printing out your boarding pass. You can literally show up as little as 20-30 minutes prior to your flight and still check your bags and board the plane. After check-in, you'll wait in the lounge until your flight is ready to board, which is usually 15-20 min prior to departure time. The "lounge" is just a big waiting room with couches, tables, and chairs. There are plenty of power outlets, free public wifi, and complimentary coffee/tea/water. Our flight was slightly delayed, and I wished they would've made some announcements because everyone looked rather antsy as it got close to our departure time. The boarding process is super quick because each plane only has 30 seats and no overhead bins. They have you remove large electronic items such as laptops and walk through a metal detector during boarding. They will also scan your boarding pass and check your ID. Typically, as soon as everyone has boarded, they're able to shut the doors, do a quick safety demo, and immediately take off. The planes are equipped with free Starlink wifi, so you're able to surf the web, stream video, or even upload photos to social media. In-flight service consists of complimentary drinks (soda/bottled water/beer/wine/liquor) and packaged snacks. Flying JSX definitely is less stressful by not having to walk through and wait in the main airport terminal, as well as having to hear everyone and their kids be super loud! Just wished they flew to more destinations!

I recently flew JSX from Taos, NM to Dallas and it made me really think-- when was the last time a flight wasn't simply something to endure and actually something to enjoy? I couldn't come up with an answer, but JSX now holds that position. The gate and cabin crew were very friendly, the seats and layout stellar, and the snacks and drinks delicious. I ordered an espresso martini and enjoyed the short flight--that actually landed 30 minutes early. Highly recommend JSX if flying to Taos, and I will consider them when booking flights elsewhere.

Long story short... I have to use a folding cane when I travel and need chair assist for airport mobility. I have two major health issues which do not allow me to freely move about without becoming so exhausted I literally cannot function. Cancer treatments can be brutal. As I boarded the plane in Dallas, a man was sitting in the aisle seat of the very front row. I boarded first and was trying to put my carry on overhead when this man suddenly started griping that I hit him with my cane. I felt NOTHING. how I could have hit him and not even felt a bump, I will never understand. I apologized to him and continued getting settled in. He kept griping that I was careless and carrying on like I had murdered his mother. I don't know what was going on with him, but it was way bigger than my supposedly hitting him by accident with my aluminum cane, which was hanging on my wrist by an elastic string. After getting settled in, one seat between he and I, another man came and sat in the seat between us. I leaned in to him after he got all seated and told him, "I don't know what that fella's problem is, but he sure has an attitude. Watch out." I whicspered this to the man, so the other fellow with the fly in his ointment could not possibly have heard me. Just then, the man of whom I was speaking got up and walked to the front of the plane. Before too long, a couple of the airline employees approached me and asked me to leave the plane! I was dumbfounded! My 75 year old mother was due to meet me in Boston and these people want to gum up my travel arrangements? I literally said nothing. I just got up and disembarked. No complaining. No arguing. NOTHING. After getting off, I asked to speak to a manager. When she finally showed up, I asked her to please tell me what I had said or done that merrited my being taken off the plane. All she said was, "If our attendants feel you need to be removed, we remove you. Period." I insisted on a better, more thorough explanation. NONE was forthcoming. I wound up stuck in a hanger ofr hours, without food, being a sever diabetic who has serious issues when my sigar drops low, which is why when I travel I try to prepare for every possibility. I never in the world expected this to happen. Again, long story short, I wound up having to call my 75 year old mother on her borthday and tell her I was going to be several hours late as I had been removed from the plane, without explanation. What else could we do? Long story short (again), I have NEVER been back on a Southwest plabe since. I literally get hives just thinking about trying to use that airline. That experience was so tramatic that I STILL have nightmares about it and what could have happened. Not only am I a diabetic with leukemia, I am also a 40+ years in ministry ordained minister! That is why I gave them absolutely no issues when they asked me to get off the plane. I believe in trying to live Christ-like. I have a SOuthwest - Chase credit card and have accrued many, many, many travel points. I won't even use them to fly for free as I am terrified that I may be trying to go somewhere and I will once again, com pletely without cause or explanation, be removed from my flight. I STILL have no clue what was said that made these people do me as they did. I can only speculate. Honestly, and you have no idea how much I hate to say these words, I have to wonder if it wasn't race related? The man in question was black. So was every single Southwest employee I had dealt with. I have wondered over and over again if that man didn't falsely claim I used a racial epitath or something. Being married to a person of color, and having decades of ministry which has included preaching in as many churches of color as "white" churches, I am not even remotely inclined to that. Not even remotely. But that would be the only justifiable accusation I could think of for the treatment I received. I can't imagine any other reason. When my sugar drops I can get extremely irritable and easily angry and frustrated. I carry glucose tablets with me to try and prevent this from happening. I did have one issue years ago while taking a Southwest flight that involved me being in very bad spirits due to a hypoglycemic incident. I was travelling with my spouse at that time, so ultimately I was able to get access to food which resolves the blood sugar issue within about 30 minutes. I have wondered also if they didn't somehow blacklist me over that incident and therefore, any accusation would justify their doing what they did. To this day, I HAVE NO CLUE! I still cannot get the trauma of this event out of my head.

For being one of the oldest continually operating airports in the US (founded in 1917 as a WW1 training base), it doesn't look like it. By the way, if you're on a layover, they have a Smithsonian-affiliated museum ($12) that houses over 30 aircraft and extensive space flight exhibits on airport grounds a 5 minute taxi ride away. As for being the site of movies: their modern (for its time) moving sidewalks were used in Logan's Run (1976). Oliver Stone recreated the president's arrival here for JFK (1991), as did the Stephen King based 11.22.63 (2016); Wes Anderson used it for the backdrop of Bottle Rocket (1996), and the airport was a plot point in Michelle Pfeiffer's Love Field (1992).
