It is with the utmost frustration that I write this complaint, if I am not contacted and refunded or provided a travel credit for this terrible experience of a 4+ hour delay I will be filing a complaint with the Department of Transportation, the Better Business Bureau and will be encouraging my frequent flyer friends and family members to never fly American again, and write their own negative reviews of their own poor quality experience with your customers service team members. I am expecting a response within 48 hours. My flight from Dallas to Mcallen was set to depart at 5:55pm and arrive in MCallen by 7pm, I had made prior arrangements to be picked up from the airport and driven to my final destination that afternoon. The flight did not take off from Dallas until 10pm, arriving at Mcallen 4 HOURS AFTER ORIGINALLY SCHEDULED. This is not only majorly inconvenient and costly for your customers and all fellow passengers on the majorly delayed flight, but UTTERLY DISGRACEFUL that your team would not offer any sort of compensation/ refund/ flight credit or accommodations for us. This demonstrates complete disregard for my valuable time, money and well being. If your aircradt was having maintenance issues, perhaps you shouldn't be using it to book flights on. It sounds like you, Boeing and your mechanic techs need to get it together. Embarrassing. DO BETTER. I will be sending you my total cost of my expenses and EXPECT A FULL REFUND MINIMUM! @americanair

They kept on delaying the flight until they eventually canceled it.

This is the Worst Airline Ever They lost my luggage and canceled my flight. Don't use them

Should be fired!! DFW AA employee ESTHER!! Unprofessional, lacks customer service and rude!

Here is an email I sent to VP Kimberly Cisek via a survey AA sent to me via email. ( I also posted on AA FB page, unfortunately can not post pics in their page): Miss Cisek, I am informing you of a horrible experience I had with one of your employees. Please see attached photo as well. On Sunday August 25, 2024, AA 1111. Please see attached photo as well. An announcement was made before pre-boarding that passengers only had to show their passport and not their flight ticket. My companion utilizes a cane, so I pull her carry on and a small backpack, along with my own carry on and my small backpack. My companion was ahead of me and her picture was taken, etc. Now I'm next, your employee said to me to get out of the line and go in front of the counter. I did so, and asked her why. She replied your passport is not signed. The nice gentleman behind the counter intervened and said, oh here is a pen for me to sign. Meanwhile your employee was allowing other passengers to board while I'm still behind the black rope waiting for her to let me board. She was ignoring me, so I finally asked her, Are you going to board everyone else before you let me on? She said I had to wait, finally she took my passport and then said you have too many bags. Me: you just saw who I am traveling with and you saw I have her bags and you would not allow her to take any bags when you delayed me. It's that moment I informed her I'm first class. She was irritated and said, No your not, I don't care what your ticket states. I said, excuse me? What is your name? She would not give it to me and she had no name tag and her badge was backwards. I said again about 3 more times I wanted her name, she refused! Then, she was going to give me back my passport and deliberately dropped it on the floor!! I said to her, really... really you just dropped my passport on the floor. AGAIN I asked for her name, she refused to give it. The nice gentleman came to me and told me her name is ESTHER. She seemed to get more angry that he helped me out and said something to him (not a positive thing). I then snapped a picture of your employee ESTHER, so there would be no confusion of whom I am complaining about. We were in the pre-board first class line and literally the first ones in line. Why was I, a first class purchasing customer treated this way? NO customer should be degraded or humiliated in this manner. Needless to say my flight was ruined by her lack of professionalism and customer service! My companion told me to wait after our vacation to write a review, so my vacation would not be ruined. What is going to be done about this situation that your employee ESTHER caused? (I then signed and gave my phone number) At least here on YELP, I can post pics

Free ticket for 4 of us to return to USA after Aer Lingus failed us.
Chris C.

We had a dreadful experience of an Aer Lingus flight EI 563 on 21 June 2023 which was late by over an hour. We talked to no less than 5 Aer Lingus staff to seek help. They all claimed it was not their problem despite it was Aer Lingus flight delay. Yes, it was my fault because I should not have taken Aer Lingus. It is in situation like this, you discover which is an inferior airline. It is also time to discover that my loyalty to American Airline is all worth it. In the absence of idea, I called American Airline using their member's phone number 1-800-433-7300. I explained the unfortunate helpless situation in Dublin Ireland. Being stuck at a foreign airport with no helpful staff, not Aer Lingus, not DUB airport staff. The AA agent understood my problem, she was able to give me 4 new tickets with no cost simply trying to help my family out. She was wonderful, courteous, professional and empowered to make the decision to give me 4 tickets. I am indebted to AA and I am happy for being a AA members for all these years.

There is no saying that we have to use special services line if we're flying internationally

I had to be transferred once, but the second representative handled things better and gave me the correct information. It wasn't perfect, but it was still a workable experience. I'm leaving this review to share how things went for me personally.

I used to be a SOuthwest fan, to be honest. My experiences had always been good. No complaints…read more That is, until three years ago when I paid for my mother and I to take different flights from our respective cities to meet up in Boston, so I could treat her to a visit with a sick cousin she hadn't seen in 40 years for her 75th birthday. Long story short... I have to use a folding cane when I travel and need chair assist for airport mobility. I have two major health issues which do not allow me to freely move about without becoming so exhausted I literally cannot function. Cancer treatments can be brutal. As I boarded the plane in Dallas, a man was sitting in the aisle seat of the very front row. I boarded first and was trying to put my carry on overhead when this man suddenly started griping that I hit him with my cane. I felt NOTHING. how I could have hit him and not even felt a bump, I will never understand. I apologized to him and continued getting settled in. He kept griping that I was careless and carrying on like I had murdered his mother. I don't know what was going on with him, but it was way bigger than my supposedly hitting him by accident with my aluminum cane, which was hanging on my wrist by an elastic string. After getting settled in, one seat between he and I, another man came and sat in the seat between us. I leaned in to him after he got all seated and told him, "I don't know what that fella's problem is, but he sure has an attitude. Watch out." I whicspered this to the man, so the other fellow with the fly in his ointment could not possibly have heard me. Just then, the man of whom I was speaking got up and walked to the front of the plane. Before too long, a couple of the airline employees approached me and asked me to leave the plane! I was dumbfounded! My 75 year old mother was due to meet me in Boston and these people want to gum up my travel arrangements? I literally said nothing. I just got up and disembarked. No complaining. No arguing. NOTHING. After getting off, I asked to speak to a manager. When she finally showed up, I asked her to please tell me what I had said or done that merrited my being taken off the plane. All she said was, "If our attendants feel you need to be removed, we remove you. Period." I insisted on a better, more thorough explanation. NONE was forthcoming. I wound up stuck in a hanger ofr hours, without food, being a sever diabetic who has serious issues when my sigar drops low, which is why when I travel I try to prepare for every possibility. I never in the world expected this to happen. Again, long story short, I wound up having to call my 75 year old mother on her borthday and tell her I was going to be several hours late as I had been removed from the plane, without explanation. What else could we do? Long story short (again), I have NEVER been back on a Southwest plabe since. I literally get hives just thinking about trying to use that airline. That experience was so tramatic that I STILL have nightmares about it and what could have happened. Not only am I a diabetic with leukemia, I am also a 40+ years in ministry ordained minister! That is why I gave them absolutely no issues when they asked me to get off the plane. I believe in trying to live Christ-like. I have a SOuthwest - Chase credit card and have accrued many, many, many travel points. I won't even use them to fly for free as I am terrified that I may be trying to go somewhere and I will once again, com pletely without cause or explanation, be removed from my flight. I STILL have no clue what was said that made these people do me as they did. I can only speculate. Honestly, and you have no idea how much I hate to say these words, I have to wonder if it wasn't race related? The man in question was black. So was every single Southwest employee I had dealt with. I have wondered over and over again if that man didn't falsely claim I used a racial epitath or something. Being married to a person of color, and having decades of ministry which has included preaching in as many churches of color as "white" churches, I am not even remotely inclined to that. Not even remotely. But that would be the only justifiable accusation I could think of for the treatment I received. I can't imagine any other reason. When my sugar drops I can get extremely irritable and easily angry and frustrated. I carry glucose tablets with me to try and prevent this from happening. I did have one issue years ago while taking a Southwest flight that involved me being in very bad spirits due to a hypoglycemic incident. I was travelling with my spouse at that time, so ultimately I was able to get access to food which resolves the blood sugar issue within about 30 minutes. I have wondered also if they didn't somehow blacklist me over that incident and therefore, any accusation would justify their doing what they did. To this day, I HAVE NO CLUE! I still cannot get the trauma of this event out of my head.

I've flown Southwest flights from DAL and never had issues. Nice airport with several good food and shopping options and getting thru security takes 10-20 mins, depending on how busy it is. In this case, it was pretty easy getting off the plane and to my car rental booth. However, it is really annoying to have someone at the Rental Car Information Booth who lets everyone pass her just to find "Go to the Shuttle" signs at the counter. Spend the money on a sign that doesn't roll its eyes. Of course, this was the last airport JFK flew into. In fact, LBJ was sworn in as president while on the tarmac here. For being one of the oldest continually operating airports in the US (founded in 1917 as a WW1 training base), it doesn't look like it. By the way, if you're on a layover, they have a Smithsonian-affiliated museum ($12) that houses over 30 aircraft and extensive space flight exhibits on airport grounds a 5 minute taxi ride away. As for being the site of movies: their modern (for its time) moving sidewalks were used in Logan's Run (1976). Oliver Stone recreated the president's arrival here for JFK (1991), as did the Stephen King based 11.22.63 (2016); Wes Anderson used it for the backdrop of Bottle Rocket (1996), and the airport was a plot point in Michelle Pfeiffer's Love Field (1992).

From the moment I…read morestepped on the plane Nutrice was bright and WELCOMING and Justin was right in the isle brightly smiling and ready to assist. I did not fly Spirit because of the negativity and bad videos along with over pricing. I was offered an upgrade for a reasonable price for one carry on, one checked bag and comfort seats with snacks, seat, and wifi for 66dls. This was awesome and reasonable.. But Nutrice spoke calmly and clearly with patience and care. Justin gave me extra cream and sugar for my Coffee from experience with other people from Atlanta,,He knew his people!!! That was great and we laughed about it.. He made sure everyone was taken care of GLADLY!! Then when Nutrice introduce the Mastercard,,,Wow, so eloquently explained, perfectly pitched and emphasize on characteristics of why passengers needed this Mastercard.. I actually was taken by her sales performance I wanted the card and I don't even fly Spirit!!! But those two changed my mind and they gave me a reason to rethink my flying.. I fly out at least 10 times a year for leisure and I have my favorite 3 airlines and Spirit certainly was not one of them. NOW,,I am going to fly spirit more often and give Spirit Airlines a chance to become my new favorite airlines and by the way, I did not need another credit card and certainly no one ever convinced me by simply explaining all the reasons to have this card with care. Nutrice is a strong asset to Spirit and Justin is a bubbly thoughtful teammate....Thank You spirt Airlines for a wonderful experience and a great flight!! Oh, yeah and a new creditcard!!

Terrible customer service and misleading insurance process…read more I specifically purchased travel insurance that advertised the ability to cancel for any reason with an 80% reimbursement. I called on Tuesday regarding a flight scheduled for Friday. The live agent told me I had to cancel at least 24 hours before departure to qualify. Based on that, I was instructed to call back Thursday to process the refund. When I called back on Thursday, I was informed that I would only be eligible for a reservation credit, not a refund. This directly contradicted what I was previously told. I requested that they review or pull the recorded calls where I confirmed eligibility, but my concern was not addressed. The inconsistent information and lack of accountability made the process frustrating and misleading. This makes me afraid to use Spirit Airlines for traveling. Buyers should be very cautious and confirm all refund and insurance terms in writing before purchasing.
