I did not use this company's services, but I was beside myself when I witnessed such a caring act that I was so altruistic that I had a loss for words.
I am in DFW for a 2 day convention that is packed with doctors, medical professionals, and very successful medical sales representatives from all over the nation. I live in NY, so the temperature being over 100 degrees for the last 2 days is mind-boggling to me and leads me to this.
We are at the Adolphus Hotel, and I walked outside just to get a break and wondered about a block down to a park that was full of people from homeless to wealthy just going about their day.
It wasn't long before I had enough and could feel my feet burning the souls of my heels and began my short walk back. The gentleman walking ahead of me had just left the park as well but was wearing nothing more than a pair or blue jeans that he was hold up on one side with only his elbow if you can use your imagination to grasp.
As we approach the hotel a blacked out full size sedan pulls to valet and the drive jumps out opens the door and a man gets out, charges inside without the decency to even yell out a thanks to this driver that appeared to me rolled out the red carpet for this azzO. This didn't catch me by surprise because, as I said, I am in town from NY, right?
The driver was getting back into his vehicle as the man infront of me asked him for change and the gentleman pulled his wallet out and gave what he could and asked "man, why are you half naked" but I did catch the response but thought it was comical in my head. I hear the driver say "give one sec" and get in the vehicle as I am walking in the doors and out of the oven. I was intrigued a bit, so I stopped and watched from inside the most caring act I have ever seen. The door pops back open and the Chauffeur gets out with his suit jacket off and his dress shirt is no longer tucked in as he handed this stranger his undershirt he quickly put his feet on the curb, took his shoes off and asked "do you think they will fit"? The man put the shoes on and continued on his way as I noticed the shoes were my absolute favorite brand, Christian Louboutin, and at that moment, I was in sheer disbelief.
Before he drove off, I ran out and tapped on the window, and dark tinted glass came down with a smile that followed with "yes ma'am." Love that! I asked him, "Did you just give him your red bottoms?" He laughed and said that was just an old pair of dress shoes as if I were a dummy ! I asked him his name and what company he works for, and he said, " Victor with AJL International, and you? "My guess is with the convention taking place and your a Doctor"? I confirmed that he was exactly right and 5. What in the world are you going to do now with no undershirt or shoes? He said it's been a LONG day, and I only have 2 more pick-ups, and the first was near his home to regroup and get the rides done... "On time every time ma'am" gets me every time. He then asked if he could have the honor of being my Chauffeur next year and sent his info and MARK MY WORDS THIS GUY AND THIS COMPANY ARE ABSOLUTELY DOING THINGS DIFFERENTLY THEN ANYTHING I have witnessed ANYWHERE in the nation from what I have experienced and will be a loyal customer for life to Victor and AJL every opportunity that I get. That was going to be my way to show my appreciation for such an unselfish, generous, and giving soul.
My flight leave at 4:15 so a good night rest was not a option and the more I thought about what Mr Victor did the more I felt compelled to share my day and reassure others that there are still wonderful people all around and we just have to watch for it... this is the first review I have EVER taken time to write and what I saw ( stranger take the shirt off his back and the shoes off his feet to help someone less fortunate that himself right after he was stiffed by a Doctor and treated like crap yet turn around with a smile and help someone in need.... THANK YOU VICTOR AND I CAN NOT WAIT TO SEE YOU NEXT YEAR!! read more
