It's good until it isn't.. UPDATE: I really miss the good old days of JSX. The staff checking you in used to be so friendly and polite, it was such a welcoming experience and felt upscale. Now it's these 3 angry women the last several times. Especially the older Hispanic one, you say hello and she ignores you, actually gives you a glare as she walks past. They treat you like typical angry airport staff/TSA, no luxury experience. If there's any issue with your seats, oh man. GOOD LUCK getting them to be hospitable and helpful. They changed the staff and since then it's been rough. Bring back the type of employees who wanted to be there, who enjoyed talking with the customers. This new batch is society's decline. And finally- the restrooms are still smelly and dirty. The convenience is good but there's some major kinks. The Santa Ana location is just WAY too small for 2 flights at the same time. The waiting area is cramped and there's no where near enough seating, people are always stuck standing around making the area even more cramped and it gives me such anxiety before flying. The flight attendants also used to be really friendly and nice and the last few flights they behave like they hate the customers. Also for only having one attendant they need to multitask so it's smoother operating. For example, when the flight is delayed or we are slow to board, take the drink orders. This last flight service was awful, the blonde woman didn't acknowledge anyone boarding and would only serve a few people at a time. By the time she took the drink orders and got them delivered to everyone and then the snacks we didn't even have time to finish them before she came back around collecting the trash, and this was on a 1.5hr flight. There should have been time for 2 rounds for sure. Also this last flight had several huge dogs on board that were very aggressive, barking and whining in the lounge and then going up to the other passengers and their dogs, including mine once seated on the plane. I actually had to push one dog away as the owner just let it approach my dog after we were seated on the plane and wouldn't stop it from getting in my poor dogs face. I could have sworn there was a weight limit or obligation to crate/restrain certain pets on these flights but this time there was none of that. I appreciate how freely JSX allows our pets in the cabin but at the same time, there are bad owners that compromise the safety and comfort of the other pets flying. The bathrooms also desperately need to be tended to consistently. The last several times I've flown, the lounge bathrooms are smelly, dirty and unkempt. How hard is it to clean regularly and put some air freshener products? For the prices JSX is now charging there should also be some complimentary products for use in the bathrooms as well. I really hope they hire some better customer service agents on their phone lines as well. Recently we were trying to get ahold of the physical location but could only be routed to the call center and the woman who answered was so rude and unhelpful. The hold recording states they are a 5 star airline but the lack of respect and hospitality from their call center is lacking tremendously I hope they read the reviews and take into consideration what their customers expect and need in order to make this an ideal service. read more

** 4.5 stars ** Hope JSX doesn't get too popular so flights are not oversold and get overly pricey. Closest thing to a private jet. You valet park and walk 10 feet into the terminal to check in. From parking to check-in has usually been within 10-15 minutes. No TSA to deal with, no long lines, no dealing with automated machines to get boarding passes and luggage tags. No lines to check your bags. No need to arrive 1 hour before your flight. Even flying first and being TSA pre-checked is a much longer process than flying JSX. The SNA - LV flight is only 35 minutes so it is just enough time to down a drink or two before landing. Neither the SNA nor LV terminals are close to being as nice as a club lounge and do not have the food and beverage choices, however, we usual don't plan on being there very long. Seating is 1 & 1 with a shared arm rest drink holder as can be seen in 1 of my photos. The aisle separates the arm rest/drink holder. All seats are window and aisle on west coast flights now. read more

just got help by Anne a customer service representative at Burbank JSX . I was traveling with my husband (granted we had separate reservations) and I guess the new policy is, if you want to change your seat so you can sit next to your loved one you have to pay a fee ... even though at JSX you get a seat when you arrive to check in unless you pre buy for the first few rows. So instead of kindly picking 2 seats next to each other for us she went on about how they had to charge us 60 dollars to be next to each other . Which we paid . I am so taken back on how everyone is trying to take advantage of customers and they even said that we were rude and could be blacklist from the airline . That to me is not good customer service What happened to loyalty and kindness , I have been a customer of JSX since they have been in business and we are tier 3 mosaic member with JetBlue and JetBlue owns them. appalling customer service!!! Love that they allow dogs on the flights. Just came back from Carmel, CA & flight was great. This is our first flight w/JSX & my puppy was fine but a bit nervous as this was his first trip on a plane. Understandable as with the noise during takeoff but he jumped on my lap & stayed all through the 1 hour flight. We are soooo pleased that my puppy can now travel with us. Never again. First off the convenience of quick onboarding sis greatly overshadowed by multiple delays. Over 3 hours for a simple flight from Santa Ana to Vegas. Nothing to do but munch on some crappy chips. Crammed into a room with a bunch of strangers and Jair quietness. Horribly uncomfortable. No food. No drinks. Nothing to make up for the inconvenience. Not even a sorry. Missed a very important dinner due to delays and the reality is I could've drive. There much faster and for more comfortably. I haven't even gotten on the plane yet. I "heart" JSX and if I have a choice/the flight is reasonable, I will always 100%, hands down choose to fly on this airline vs. any other. Why would I fly anywhere else, when I can literally show up 20 minutes before my flight and be totally fine on timing? Why would I fly anywhere else, when I can wait in the comfort of their tiny off-the-main-airport area, limiting my contact with a gabillion other travelers? Why would I fly anywhere else, when I know that my luggage will be unloaded and waiting for me as I deplane so I can grab on my way out? I could go on and on, but I'll just hit the highlights instead. We found JSX years ago when we booked a flight on JetBlue through SNA and it was fulfilled by Jet Suite (their previous name). I can't express how happy I am to have happened upon it because it has literally changed the game of flying. Here's the service in a nutshell: JSX is an airline that flies a number of short distance itineraries on small jets that seat maybe 36ish people. (There is 2 seats on one side of the aisle and 1 seat on the other side of the aisle). Since the airline flies out of a private terminal just around the corner from busy SNA, you don't have to deal with the crazy parking situation, nor the bustling ticket area, nor the security lines nor baggage claim nor a ton of people. You can show up around 20 minutes before the flight and then you walk onto your plane where they will give you a free drink (alcoholic or non) plus some premium snacks like brownie brittle or harvest snap peas. When you land, they keep you on the plane while they take out the luggage and then you literally grab your bag as you walk into their terminal and leave. It's easy, it's convenient and it's comfortable since everyone is SO nice. This particular JSX area is in a great location (literally right around the corner from SNA) and the people at check-in are always super nice. The waiting area is nothing fancy, but it's fine and I can't complain when it's relatively uncrowded compared to being at the actual airport. While we try not to park here if we can get away with it, we did it the other day and it was easy. I should also mention that it ALWAYS has a clean restroom. Flights on JSX can be very reasonably priced if you are flexible in the timing they offer. This is not a fancy private jet or anything...it's a functional and clean plane where they have stripped out all the things you hate about the airport/flying. read more

I have nothing but good things to say. I departed from Santa Ana to Las Vegas this past Saturday. It was easy to check in. We arrived 20 minutes before departing time and had no problem. Staff was friendly. Staff greeted me and helped us right away. Waiting room was clean. Flight was on time. Flight went smooth. We got drinks and snacks. It was a short flight. Worth every penny to avoid 3-4 hours of driving. The Las Vegas location was also clean and they offered drinks and snacks well we waited to head back home. Flight was delayed but they communicated and gave us a new accurate time and I have no complaints. I had plenty of space at my seat, I had room to place my carry on backpack and had room to feel comfortable. I noticed if you had larger luggage it was easy to check in, as well as they had it ready for you when you got off the plane. I would highly recommend this airline. read more

Just took a flight from OC to the Bay on JSX and it was literally the best airport/travel experience I've had. 1. No TSA lines 2. You're not fighting the crowds at the main airport (you're flying out of the private terminal) 3. There's only about 30 seats on each jet so the check in and boarding is super fast and easy 4. No need to check in the day before 5. Free drinks (including alcohol) and snacks at the lounge and on the plane The prices were just a smidge higher than Southwest Airlines if you book ahead of time. I am sitting at a JSX lounge in Phoenix, waiting for my flight. I have flown this airline several times in the past. Each time it was a great experience. How is it that these gate agents are smiling;, they are kind and accommodating? They volunteer helpful advice regarding luggage. How are they so different from typical (there are some exceptions) gate agents for major airlines, who are abrasive and dismissive , making you feel like a bother every time you fly? I must say when I first found this company about 2 years ago they were great! On time, nice staff, clean planes but now, they've turned into second rate type airline. In regards to the staff, I'm mainly speaking about the group out of John Wayne airport. They are rude, short on patience and apparently forgot what great customer service is all about.. however coming out of Las Vegas is wayyy better! I was a frequent traveler and fan of JSX. It used to be a pleasant experience checking in with friendly people. Now? It seems everybody at the front desk is angry and treat you with disgust. The staff is poorly trained, with everybody having a different understanding of the pet policy. My wife and I travel several times a month with our 15 lb service dog (without issue). We pay the Pet in Cabin fee as we found it was just easier as we never knew what to expect. The last time we went, we were denied access to the flight with our dog in a TSA approved carrier, not wanting to miss important meetings we had in Las Vegas the next day, we offer to pay for an additional seat (part of their pet policy), I wasn't concerned with the price, I had to have our dog with us. The abrasive staff told me I was "privileged" after I said it would not be a problem if we had to pay with another seat. Instead of selling another seat, she chose to be unhelpful. I asked what that meant as it seemed uncalled for, she refused to answer, we asked for our IDs back and she denied the request. I had to demand she return our IDs and the other staff urged her to. Leslie was apparently having a bad day and felt like mistreating others was a way to make her feel better. We eventually got our IDs back (reluctantly) and went home, we lost $400 for a car rental at the destination and missed 2 important appointments. I cannot in good faith fly this airline any longer, what a shame to see it deteriorate. read more

The Santa Ana location isn't bad. While not a part of the main airport (Which in some ways is appealing) I found there is a bit of flexibility with this airline. Case in point: My travel time, which was later, got pushed back by a few hours. However, there were seats available on an earlier flight and so I didn't have to wait around in the lobby and took off not long after I arrived. Speaking of lobby, Covid has wrecked the generosity found in it. The amount of beverages and snacks is pathetic these days but I get it. I'm sure I'll be back. read more

Beware of what baggage you decide to bring on their plane as they do not handle bags with care. My leather bag went on the plane brand new and came off looking like it was pulled out and dragged on the asphalt. First timer using JSX. I flew round trip from Orange County to Dallas Love Field. I didn't know what to expect at first, but quickly I realized it was more than just a semi-private jet airline. What can I say, I LOVED JSX, from the getgo. The customer service, beyond my expectations. You get yummy snacks on flight, cheese and crackers with fruit, alcohol beverages, tea, fountain drinks, all included during your flight. This experience reminds me of the once upon a time awesome airline, Virgin America, but smaller. Going to, there was a total of 9 passengers, and coming back there was 13 passengers. The jets seat 30 passengers. The only thing lacking is in flight entertainment, so bring your own entertainment, and dress warmly, it's like a meat locker. Coming back from Dallas, our flight attendant, Nancy, was awesome. Flying.....the way it should be...without the hassles. If you try JSX, you'll never want to go on commercial flights again!!! And you get your luggage in under 5 minutes after your flight. Worth every penny. Highly recommended!!! This is now my way of flying.... read more

Absolutely stay away and fly normal airlines. Paid several thousand dollars for concert tickets in Vegas. I booked with United months in advance. For no reason United switched my tickets to their "partner" JSX. I was very Leary and called to switch back to my normal flight. They gave me the run around and didn't want to, kept trying to sweet talk me saying how much better it is. Arrived on a nice day, the flight was delayed ALL day. Very awkward small room with strangers who were angry and pissed off. My original United flight took off and landed on time, yet JSX refused to fly due to scattered showers. My friends landed with southwest at the same our flight was supposed to land we would've landed sent me photos with perfect clear skies. They ended up canceling the flight due to "pilot legality" which basically means since the crew sat around all day they didn't have to fly. Total BULLSHIT. No apology, JSX even is giving me a hard time trying to get a refund. A simple 45 min flight turned into 8 hours of sitting in a tiny room, no vending machines, no food only for them to decide they don't want to fly. All while other airlines are flying into Vegas just fine. I lost out on several thousand dollar concert tickets and they couldn't care less. Other people waiting spent $10,000 for Drake tickets and they lost out. Biggest joke airline company. I would've had better luck with spirit airline budget flight. read more

I would choose JSX over a traditional commercial flight at any opportunity. I love the pleasant positive attitudes of every single staff member I encountered. I love that check in is simple and easy and there is no long security line. I flew JSX to Reno and back and both directions I was so pleased with all the staff interactions. The plane on the way up was smaller and a bit nicer than the plane on the way back although both are very clean with more comfortable seating and room than a normal commercial plane. The terminal lacks adequate seating. although you only need to check on 20-30 minutes before a flight so you won't sit long anyway. You don't have to take off shoes, just take your electronics out and carry them in your arms for about 8 steps and you are done. No overhead bin so what you carry on goes under the seat in front of you. The plane back was larger and not as nice as the smaller plane. Worst airline ever! We've flown multiple times, and will no longer come back after this experience. Like the other reviews mention, so pricy, and for the price that you pay the experience and customer service are not worth it! They are incredibly inflexible as mentioned and absolutely cannot adjust to changing situations and times! Also as mentioned from other reviews, WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE. The flight could be late, and they absolutely will not comp you. Unlike larger airlines who will give you points, miles, a refund, or even a bottle of water, they absolutely won't budge even if the situation is their fault. Need to get a new room, reservation, taxi, and more because the flight was incredibly delayed to their incompetence? Your problem. You could keel over, and they would look the other way. Great for the expensive price you pay-- NOT! Making travel painless and fast with a smile! It's exactly as awesome as expected and the employees were amazing. Big high five to Jordan who's smile is infectious. The entire crew on the ground and in the air were friendly and welcoming. You can bring your own drinks at no charge, bring your own dog at no charge. There is no line and it's fast and easy! I flew home on JSX from Vegas this past weekend for the first time hoping that my experience would be stellar. I have flown private many times, and did not expect this semi private experience to be identical, but I expected a higher level of customer service than I typically receive when flying on business trips via Southwest. Unfortunately, For the price, I was not impressed. While the check-in time was quick and the (crowded) lobby offered refreshments, my overall experience was just average. The airport staff were not friendly. The flight attendant on board was not friendly. We were late taking off and consequently, late on landing. Additionally, we had to wait until all bags were unloaded before we could deplane, which caused an extra expense, as my town car was required to wait for me. They mention to arrive 20 min prior, and being naive we arrived 35 min prior and admittedly got bored.... because we shouldn't have been there yet! If you want to arrive, check in, & board immediately here you go. It's true that they're no real amenities in the waiting area other than coffee and water, but no need because you shouldn't be in there anyway.
