Quick weekend trip? Just do it! This was my first time flying JSX and his 1200th. We took a quick weekend trip to San Francisco. the flight went to Oakland and SF was a quick 20 minute uber ride. This flight was actually more cost effective than first class on a highly rated airline. Love that! Plenty of leg room on the flight. Just an FYI the seats afe in a 2/1 configuration and are a bit smaller than standard 1st class on a commercial airline but not dealing with long security lines and crowded lounges was definitely worth it! The App is very smooth for booking just like other airlines with the exception that you can't go back a step when booking. If you want to change something you have to start all over. The staff was very nice upon arrival we dropped our bags and showed our IDs and sat on the lounge with drinks while we waited. Both the indoor and outdoor lounges are very comfy with plenty of seating!(couches cubby chairs high tables etc. ) Be sure to arrive no less than 20-30 minutes before your flight departure. read more

I've been flying JSX for a number of years, ever since they were a fledgling airline. I've only flown their Burbank-Las Vegas route, one of their most popular. Burbank was their first LA airport; they now also fly out of LAX, Santa Monica and Orange County. I've seen the brand's fast growth, as witnessed by their ever-increasing number of destinations, subsequent increased crowding at their airport hangars, and ever-increasing costs for flights, valet parking and rental cars (JSX works exclusively with Go Rentals). JSX's main advantage over traditional commercial airlines is their more comfortable overall experience. Touted as a semi-private airline, they fly out of private hangars, thus avoiding TSA. You are only asked to arrive 20-30 minutes prior to your departure. There is no online check-in available or needed, it's a simple and fairly quick process. Since the planes have no overhead bins, all bags are checked except what can fit under your seat. The waiting areas in the hangars are lounge-like, with complimentary snacks, a hot beverage machine and a flavoured-water machine. The airplanes are all small Embraer ERJ 135's or 145's with an average capacity of 30 passengers. There is one flight attendant. Beverages (including alcohol) and a snack tray are complimentary. Wi-Fi is free (Starlink) . There is one restroom at the rear; I've always found the water pressure in the sink to be very low. I've mostly flown the Embraer ERJ 135, 10 rows with a 1-2 seat configuration. Twice I've flown the 145, 16 rows with a 1-1 configuration, but these seem to not be used so much on the BUR-LAS route. I've seen the Burbank hangar go through a few modifications over the years, all for the better. The restrooms were quite pathetic in the past. The waiting area has 2 sections, one more enclosed and quiet--this area has been improved. The boarding area now has more security measures like a conveyor belt for screening your carryon. With the airline's growth, there have been some negatives. Flights have increased more than $100 each way to/from Vegas. The cost for choosing your seat also increased. Parking was always valet-only, the cost is now prohibitive. It's more economical to rideshare here, as do most folks, causing a traffic backup in their drop-off area. With more frequent flights arriving and departing, and with more destinations, the lounge can get crowded. Plus in Burbank, luggage from arriving flights is brought directly into the hangar (vs. in Vegas where passengers collect their luggage plane-side). I've only had a flight delay once. With about 6 flights/day or more to Vegas, a flight cancellation is not as horrific an issue as it would be to a destination with less flights per day. Despite their growing pains and increasing costs, I'm still a fan of JSX. read more

Flying with JSX out of Burbank, CA was awesome. The private terminal is seriously convenient -- no huge airport crowds or long TSA lines, and check‑in was smooth and fast. Once you're onboard, the cabin feels spacious with plenty of legroom, and boarding from a smaller, more relaxed lounge makes the whole travel experience way better than a typical flight. Friendly service and easy check-in! I tried JSX for the first time on my business travel between Burbank and LA. Overall, I would rate the experience as a solid 4. To get to the JSX flights, you need to get to the dedicated hanger area (not at airport), which is several blocks away from the major airport. The exact location of the hanger should be in your flight itinerary, and link to Uber/Lyft/Google map is also embedded in the itinerary. When you arrive for your flight, you check in at the front desk and they scan your ID. There is no long security line, and only a brief check of your carry-on when you are about to board. What I love the most is the stress free check-in process. Since there is no line, you can show up 20 minutes before departure and go through the entire boarding without stress. In addition, the lounge area and bathrooms are comfortable and nice. While I would suggest better decorations in the lounge area, there are ample free snacks/beverages. The sitting area is comfortable with lots of charging outlets. When I boarded, the process was fast and seamless. My flight accommodated about 30 people, and seats were wide and comfortable. There was free Starlink wifi, and good snacks/beverages were offered throughout the flight. When I landed, my luggages would be waiting for me near the plane with no additional need to go to the conveyor belt, which saved a good chunk of time. The only drawback would be valet only parking feature and the tight area in front of the JSX office for Uber/Lyft pick-ups. When arriving passengers were all waiting for their valet cars, it left little room for Uber/Lyft drivers to come picking up passengers. My cost for the flight was around $600, which was twice the amount of the Southwest flight. While the cost is much higher, it makes sense for certain business situation where you don't want to waste time going through the hassles of regular airport travel. Recommend! read more

Great experience. Wild to show up 20 mins before your flight and have zero issues. The only issue I have with it is the mandatory valet parking and how expensive it is for just parking your car. Went on a weekend ski trip to Taos and paid $250 for the valet parking alone. Beyond that the flight was great, everyone at the terminal was great, and it was a completely smooth process from start to finish. I don't know if I'll ever be able to fly another airline again if JSX has a route wherever I'm headed! read more

Hi Guys. Just want to say avoid this JSX in the future as the service has gone down. They used to have better coffee, better snacks, better service. Now every time I am there it's a different issue. Service has gone down and prices have gone up. 1) Complete rif raff as people are allowed to bring DOGS onto the flights now (even if it's NOT a service dog, as in large dogs.) They drool and lay out germs everywhere. 0 supervision from staff. 2) On our recent flight to Vegas the staff completely disregarded reminding us about a driver's license expiration date issue. Granted it was our fault for not noticing but even TSA staff make exceptions for 1-7 days after expiration. Not so here. They have 0 tolerance. We could have easily brought on board a passport as they were 3 hours late. 3) People are jerks at Valet and everyone is rude. The prices have gone up to $75-100 per day. Per DAY. 4) 4-5 of our last flights were delayed 1-4 hours EACH. This never used to happen before. It's a bummer on every trip. This happened in Vegas and also for Lake Tahoe (4 hour delay with 0 compensation). I can go on and on but I think I'll just go back to Southwest and the regular Burbank Airport. I used to be willing to pay more for better service but JSX service is crap since Jet Blue bought them out. read more

SCAMMERS! BEWARE!!! WILL have the flights delayed every single time, make you miss out on your PREPAID commitments, and will REFUSE to refund you. Never encountered such a scamming, low quality company. Flight from Burbank to Napa Friday 11/14. Delayed two hours. Customer service insisted that passengers were warned. It was quite a joke informing her that they were "warned" one entire hour AFTER not before the originally scheduled departure time. Lost almost 600 dollars in cancellations due to missing an entire winery experience and lunch. On top of that dealt with the absolute worst possible customer service from a snobby worker named Geneva. This company lost its status and reputation. I don't recommend them to anyone as they are supposed to stand for quality and speed, but do the exact opposite, every single time. read more

I've never felt more disappointed and misled by an airline. Before my flight, I specifically asked two JSX employees if it was okay to park in the side lot without being towed. I was told yes--no issue. When I returned from my trip, my car was gone. It had been towed two days after I parked. I spoke with Valet Victor, who admitted it was a mistake on their part. He assured me JSX would cover the tow and even offered me a ride to the tow yard. At first, they claimed they mistook me for an employee, which is the only reason they said parking was allowed there. Then, the story shifted. They told me they wanted to review camera footage to "see who was at fault." Andy, the manager on duty, spent 30 minutes watching surveillance footage and came back to say I had not spoken to anyone--apparently because I had a hat on and was talking on the phone when walking in. This was both insulting and false. Rather than admit fault, they doubled down and denied our interaction. To make things worse, Andy lied to the tow company and claimed I was an employee, which was confirmed by Alex, the tow truck driver, on the phone. They completely reversed their original promise to pay for the tow, then gave me a fake address to the tow yard that was 45 minutes away--only for me to find out it was actually 12 minutes away after verifying myself. What could've been a simple mistake turned into a frustrating experience filled with lies, gaslighting, and zero accountability. I expected more from JSX, especially considering the premium experience they claim to provide. This situation was handled unprofessionally, and it left a terrible impression. read more

I used to love this airline. Now they are more than inconsistent. They lie about ground delays. For a 24 hr trip we were delayed on the way in and out. It was not weather related as we had friends going on southwest and weather apps showed zero thunderstorms. The staff tells misleading information. One agent says they choose which goes in and out and the other says total ground delays over the intercom which was proved untrue. I'm going to share a secret with you. Listen up now. And be judicious with who you decide to tell. Flying this "private jet" airline can be a very reasonably priced alternative to flying the larger commercial airlines. When Southwest had their shitstorm during Xmas 2022, I had tickets to get to Las Vegas, but of course, my flights were canceled. Other airlines were trying to pick up the slack so what was normally a $150 flight between LA and Las Vegas shot up to $1,000 or more. Not that it mattered because there were no seats available. As my trip was to start in less than 24 hours, I suddenly remembered the small semi-private jet companies that have begun offering flights at pretty reasonable prices for short hauls. I looked at JSX and was able to get a flight to Vegas for around $300, which given that I purchased it the SAME DAY and during the holidays, I was pretty happy with. You fly out of Burbank but not the airport... out of an airport hangar. You check in (quickly). They take your bag. But that ONE BAG thing is serious and really a rule. So if you have a laptop bag and a purse, one of them has to be checked or they will give you a large JSX tote bag to condense everything in. But you can't take two things on board. The waiting area is nice. You're sitting inside the airplane hangar so you get to see lots of action while resting on a couch. When it's time to board, you just walk on board to your assigned seat. No TSA. No taking off your shoes. No hassles. Just walk on board. Each jet seats 30 passengers. Once you're in the air, they do a free drink service (including champagne and cocktails) and interesting snack selections. And when you land, no going to baggage claim... you pick up your luggage right outside the plane. Then you're on your way! So simple. So civilized. if you've ever done the shuttle from LaGuardia to Chicago or DC - it's like that only on a smaller scale. When you're comparing prices for flights, it makes sense to include JSX in your search, just for pure ease and convenience. It's a time saver and you won't pay any checked bag fees either. Definitely recommend. And I will absolutely do it again! (OH - and you can get miles for Jet Blue or United by flying JSX!). read more

Ok , Franks flying private today to Las Vegas on JSX and I love it. Super simple and cost effective, not to mention less time consuming then flying the major airlines. I pull up to valet and handed off my auto keys then walked 10 feet to check in. An amazing host checked FRANK in plus escorted my baggage + my new Air Jordan's to the proper location so then would meet me when I landed plus I could can enjoy my short wait to board baggage free. Lounge chairs and sofas were in the hanger to grab a seat before my private flight to Viva Las Vegas began. Needles to say I treat myself well, because I'm awesome. Please take me back to this experience of a lifetime! Definitely, from start to finish, I had the best time! The flight was easy to book online - there was no wait at the hanger, you don't go to an actual airport which was SO lovely, and you aren't treated like a criminal as you are just trying to board your flight. You can take one smaller size bag with you while on the flight. You can have two bags checked in. All you needed was your ID to hop right on. Our flight total time was maybe an hour and you get unlimited drinks and snacks! so that was very cool. I had gone to Napa for the weekend and hoping on JSX made it soooo much more fun. bottom line: book the flight, live your life, fly private :) read more

JSX is the airline I rant and rave about. Their customer service, attentive-ness and flexibility has always been top notch and easily worth the small amount extra than the other airlines when flying to one of their destinations. However recently they have REALLY gone down hill. It's impossible to get through to anyone on their call lines. They say they will call you back within 48 hours....that doesn't work well for travel ! The staff and desk agents who all used to be friendly and reasonable have now become the "policy people" difficult to deal with, attitude and even inept at times...canceling flights ( without knowledge, request or consent ) then attempting to re-book at an escalated price and refusing to re-instate my ticket for the price I paid when I had booked weeks ago after I made it clear that THEY CANCELED IT ON THEIR OWN I can only assume they're under some kind of new management who's trashing the premium brand experience they've been able to build up until this point. I will be looking out for other competitors and I advise everyone else do the same. read more

Very disappointing. We left JSX Burbank to Las Vegas and upon landing we found our luggage was ransacked and the lock and zipper were broken off. We immediately called JSX and reported it as it just happened. They are the only ones who were in possession of our luggage. Apparently, they "looked at the footage" and didn't see anything. We had to pay for new luggage and a lock to return home. Is this the way JSX handles damage caused by them? Very shady and irresponsible. Take pictures of your luggage BEFORE you give it to them. Easy boarding experienced but the sitting area needs extreme improvement. The coffee machine looks like it has not been cleaned for years. Their foot traffic is less than any lounge at LAX and could have invested in the machine like delta lounge or American airline lounge. The lounge decor is so spared even for thanksgiving travel - whoever manages this area should consider improvement to be worth it for the passenger. For a short flight the plane is small. Doesn't feel like a Luxurious experience. Only worth it if you want to have an easy check in process. And unsure why we have to take out the laptop while boarding when we have enough carry on bag and boarding pass. No digital boarding pass so it's very cumbersome read more

I generally, don't write reviews, but in this case, I thought everyone should know how cheap and terrible this company can be. I was flying back from Los Angeles to Oakland where my car was valet parked and when I landed, I came to find out they lost the key to my car! I spent the next 2 1/2 hours waiting for them to try and find my key to no avail. After some arguing, they finally rented me a car so that I can get home and have a car to drive until they can figure out what they're going to do with my key. The next day they figured out they had to tow my car to the Mercedes dealer so that they can order and make me a new key. The tow truck drive company they hired ended up crashing my car, which may be totaled When I let them know that this happened, they immediately said it wasn't their problem and wanted their rental car back!! So after losing my key, wrecking my car and leaving me with nothing to drive they don't want to accept no responsibility and they want the only car I have to drive back!!! I am at a total loss at how a company that supposed to be a luxury service could treat their customers and leave them in a lurch like this, when this is entirely and exclusively their fault. I am shocked and appalled at how they could be so insensitive and walk away from all responsibility under the circumstances. Clearly I have to sue them and I'm quite disappointed when this could be so easy given I'm sure they have insurance that could cover them for such an issue. I hope everyone knows that this company does not have your back even in light of the obvious mistake that they have made. I am hopeful someone from the company will read this and understand their faults here and get back to me with a better solution than this is not my problem! This ranks higher than most of the JSX locations. I wish I could remember the counter agent, her name began with the letter P and one the best service oriented people I had encountered in a long time. So helpful and friendly with a kind personality. Yes, there great people like her in the Service industry. We were helped with our luggage by another guy and he was great. The flight crew were top notch professionals. Only downside were some of the passengers were coughing like the whole flight; some of the passengers put on masks after hearing the symphony of congestive coughing , however the coughing folks didn't don any masks and should have. I also enjoy this company a-lot. No TSA hallelujah and no lines! Well worth it! read more
