Booked the absolute cheapest possible flight. Unsurprisingly, it got canceled and rescheduled (hence one less star). The system wanted me to fly from Burbank to Santa Rosa, back to LAX and then to my destination. Obvi, I didn't want the extra hours of flying, so I took it to the desk and my boy Nico got me a Lyft straight to LAX. Thanks! read more

The staff working for Alaska were all very nice and accommodating. Just before boarding they made an announcement that if we check our carry on bags, we would be first to board. One particular lady who was part of the Alaska care staff, Eviot was very nice and helpful. My husband has hip issues and she was very caring and helpful. She sat us by the entrance to board first. The fight staff was very nice, as well. WiFi was out, not a biggy, our flight was a short flight. read more

I was scheduled to fly with my family from BUR to SEA on 7/10/26 for a wedding. Woke up that morning to a cancellation notification. This is the 2nd time Alaska Airlines has done this to me this year. Airline rebooked us on 2 different flights, arriving hours apart. I had to spend 45 minutes on the phone and change departing airports to get us on the same plane. I had originally upgraded to 1st class on the return flight and lost that in the cancellation process. We were originally sitting together and got split up, so I had to pay for another upgrade just to get my wife and son together. Absolutely rediculous. The customer experience with Alaska has plummeted over the years as they've grown too large, too fast. I'm done with the airline and will do everything possible to avoid it in future travel. read more

We flew on Alaska Airlines from Burbank to Washington, and then Washington to Burbank back home. We had a good flight going up and very good service in first class. On our return flight, there was a little glitch with the caterer where they ran short of the cheese plate that had been ordered for me. The flight attendant Angela, who I found out had only been doing this job for two months was so apologetic, and offered me other options, but unfortunately, I have a very restricted diet so none of those were doable. I told her not to worry as I always carry food with me just in case but she said she was going to check in economy to see if they might have a cheese plate for me which they did. For the inconvenience (tho we kept telling her not to worry;) but she insisted on giving us some additional mileage and then Alaska took it even further and sent us a $75 credit which was beyond amazing! She did an amazing job being as new as she is handling that issue and everything else as well that she needed to do to take care of us and the others in first class on the flight. Thank you, Angela and bravo Alaska for hiring such a wonderful flight attendant! We make frequent trips to the Washington area and we'll definitely book again on Alaska after such a wonderful experience ! read more

Go Alaska! Never had an issue flying with Alaska especially into or out of Burbank. My last flight here boarded early, and I showed up with time to spare and was so grateful I made it lol I've flown to SeaTac, PDX, and a few other places the last few years usually with great prices for round-trip. Grateful for the newer planes with more amenities and if you can do or upgrade premium class or better, absolutely try it #TreatYoSelf those complimentary drinks really make for a cozy flight or a great start to a mini vacay Alaska is the last terminal and deep in the back with tons of seating in the waiting area. Unlike LAX and larger International airports you usually board and unboard onto the "the apron" and up or down a ramp. Ever since Alaska bought out Virgin it seems they try to improve year after year and working out kinks post-ish pandemic can be a challenge, but from my personal experience I enjoy and trust them fully for airline travel. read more

Was scheduled to fdly out to SEA on 2/a3 from SFO. Flight was cancelled by Alaska Airlines due to weather. I could not get rhough to anyone: 4 hour wait to 800 number and no answer to the special services number for a call back. A week and a half later I am still trying to reach Alaska to get a refund. Tried the call-back feature, which BTW was no working at first due to high volume of calls. The wait time is still high with an hour and 9 minutes hold time. Thier BACK-OFFICE IS HORRIBLE! I ended up driving 12 hours to Oregon from Bay Area. and bought two additional segments from Alaska just to make it to my next two destinations, as I was on Business. The luggage situation coming int PDX SHIT SHOW! Three flights cam in, the moitor said our luggage was a certain location, and then they changed all three at the same time. A go her, B go there, C go there... Total Mayhem!!! Luckily no problems flying out of PDX a week later VERY nice, but current transition of whatever Alaska Airlines is going through is HORRIBLE! Still an hour and 9 minutes of hold time. I WANT MY MONEY BACK on the flight ALASKA cancelled Per FAA rules. read more

I always enjoy flying Alaska. Flying Alaska from Burbank even better. There's no hassle of trying to deal with traffic as there are literally two terminals at the airport. My most recent flight was to Seattle and the flight was comfortable and quick. The employees were great as the captains. The employees at the front desk were pleasant and very helpful. read more

Alaska Airlines - Getting on the airplane. - Airlines Near Me - Burbank, California

Horrible experience! First time that I tried this airline. I purchased a round trip ticket from Burbank to San Francisco. FIRST CLASS. Not cheap! On my way back. The customer service in San Francisco the counter girl was irresponsible and rude! (she was in training) took forever with a guy that wasn't even going to travel. and she made me missed my fly. She didn't want to help me to get another fly. I talked to the manager and he gave me a ticket for the next day. I had to spend the night at the airport. The boarding pass said B9 where I supposed to get the fly. THEY MADE A MISTAKE and I missed the plane again! The real gate was B12 but of course they didn't want to accept their mistake even though it's printed. They gave me another fly to land to an airport farther my house. So I had to wait one more hour. On the tap of that the plane didn't have hot water and I had to buy my coffee in the airport. REMEMBER I PURCHASED FIRST CLASS TICKET. They didn't respect that and they gave me a regular sit. Who is going to pay for that lousy service? I also paid for insurance protection ticket . Who is going to pay for the day that I couldn't go to work? Maybe a lot of people are happy with that airline, but if that happened to me that I paid a lot of money. Might happen to everyone else. Unfortunately I have to give one star. They don't deserve it! read more

The bar has been set so low on airline travel these days you can legitimately hand out five stars if you're not involved in a mid-flight brawl. Passengers in flip flops and unlaundered pajamas who would normally take the bus or hop a freight train like Woodie Guthrie are crawling all over the nation's skylanes. I don't care if they wear a mask, I just prefer they take a shower. That's where Alaska Airlines comes in. Sleek, modern and efficient, this airline knows how to run, well... an airline. Coach is tight but that's what I'm paying for so I'll dry my own tears. Their staff is friendly and proficient and reassures that they're in control of what they can control. Even compensating for my cratering expectations, Alaska Air is a terrific brawl-free airline. In 2021 is there higher praise. read more

The staffs behind the counter are very friendly. The flight is in good condition. Love the charging outlet while flying! Free movie entertainment. Just remember to bring your own headphone. Also, download their on board app (gogo entertainment) before boarding. Some flight you have your own screen, some you have to watch from your phone. Boarding on time, no delay. Very smooth flight~ Will definitely fly with them again! read more

The staff behind the counter were especially rude to both me and my family. We explained that we did not usually fly with Alaska Airlines and so we did not know their practices with things like car seats, children's strollers, baggage, etc. They scoffed and told me that I should have done my homework prior to arriving at the airport. Somehow we'd already managed to get past the TSA with a car seat on our back before someone stopped us to tell us that we had to check the car seat in at the front desk and that we could not gate check it like some other airlines. I told them that nobody had said anything to us and that we were only familiar with the practices that we'd followed before and that I'd asked about those policies but I was confronted with a sarcastic remark instead. I asked what I should do and they told me that I'd have to leave the current area, go back to the front desk to check in the car seat and then go through the whole screening process again in order to get back to my gate. I was in a rush already and nobody caught the fact that I'd brought this carseat all the way into the terminal. I ended up making it to the gate and again someone had more to say to me. It was such a back and forth. I almost missed our flight. I was sprinting back and forth between the front desk and the gate and being with my family and there being so much confusion and not knowing if they should board the flight because I might miss it, etc. It was terrible. All of that happened and I saw so many other families board the plane and gate check their car seats. All the things that I was told weren't allowed and I saw them happening right before my very eyes. I was so heated. I spoke to someone at the desk and all they could do is profusely apologize for the way that I'd been treated in So Cal. The team on the plane weren't friendly to me or my kiddo. That made me the most upset. They snapped at her to get settled right away. They told her to be a good girl. I did not at all care for them trying to "parent" my kiddo or to make it sound like threats. I wasn't happy with anyone from Alaska that we came across in So Cal. Folks in the PNW were much nicer. I ended up paying for my bag to be a carry on but apparently it ended up gate checked without my knowledge. I tried to ask for a refund for that having happened but they said that they couldn't do anything about it and that I would have had to take it up with the flight crew member who took and gate checked my bag right when it happened. There had been no announcement of that having happened. So, I thought someone had taken my bag incorrectly until someone from the baggage claim called to say that I'd not picked up my bag. I told them that I'd filed a claim and they told me that it was unnecessary because my bag was waiting for pick up at the airport and that it had been gate checked. UPSET! Still, after all the things that I'd been through, they were not at all helpful to me. Infuriating!!! read more

I called for a refund for a cancelled flight that they cancelled not me and they refuse to refund my money and gave me a run around. I spoke with supervisor, and she did nothing to assist me even though the cancellation was not from my end. Very frustrating dealing with them and will never fly with them again. They are good when tie to take your money but when there is an issue, expect no assistance. Worst customer service experience I had with airline. My flight going to destination was cancelled due to airline cancelling (not us) and they will not refund the return flight. They asked us if we can come back on returning flight. I guess logic does not apply to Alaska airlines. If I can't go , how can I come back? Just save yourself the headache and frustration and pay little more and go with another airline instead. read more

Don't fly them. The worst. Flight was 4 hours late and Alaska could care less. Beware.

I'm not a frequent traveler by plane so I don't have much to compare this experience with. In my naivete I thought purchasing a first class seat entitled me to that seat. They knocked me down to economy with no alert, no explanation, no, communication, and when I in my bafflement asked them for an explanation they said they had none. I'm over 6 feet tall and I had to squeeze into an economy seat to get home. On the plus side, they refunded the difference between an economy seat and a first class seat (I had to call customer service to secure the refund; it wasn't automatic), and none of the four Alaska Airlines planes I flew on in June crashed. So there were positives in this experience. For those of you hoping and praying for this company to go out of business, I doubt it will happen soon. Choices to and from Anchorage are limited, and every Alaska Airlines plane I was on was packed to the gills. I wonder who ended up with my first class seat. A V.I.P., no doubt. read more

This airline is the worst I thought that they were responsible and they are not! We had a nightmare dealing with them they ruin our vacations in Cancun and left my 9 year And my 12 years old heart broken ! Not only that but I lost $2900. Worst customer service ever! Had to call to try to use points to book a flight and was told there were only a limited number of seats on each flight available for points. Even though there were plenty of seats available, none could be booked with points. When questioned, Eric, the customer service supervisor became rude and angry and asked: "What do you want to do? Sit on the floor?" Then hung up on me. Alaska used to be a great airline. Do not be fooled by their promises when they are promoting the Alaska credit card! Not user friendly! read more

I've gone up to Portland three times since my friends moved there 5 months ago. All three of those times have been from here for convenience purposes. Just to get it out of the way, this time around I decided to take the last flight out so that I wouldn't miss any work. Conveniently, the Amtrak drops you off right at the airport. The train stop is literally right across the airport. The reason I've been flying Alaska is because of my miles with American. The folks here are always very nice. Security is a breeze. It surprises me that not more people fly out of here. I'm usually at my gate just shortly before boarding begins. I check in online and pick my seat then show up at the airport typically less than an hour before the plane's scheduled departure. Always works out. The most time I spent going through security is probably 5 minutes. read more

Horrible planes. If we ever get to take off, I will not be flying this airline again. With both engine and generator problems, might be time to invest in working planes? Hi Alaska Airlines, it's me again. Between several cancellations and then loosing our luggage, this was the worst experience ever. I've never experienced a business this unorganized. They lost all our luggage, then started opening other peoples bags asking us if we're sure "these aren't yours". I'm sure they did the same thing with my bag and someone came up. They now are doing everything in their power to not pay for any of the missing property or refund us for the baggage fee. I'd fly with a different airline if you have that option. If not, definitely don't check your luggage in. They have no way to monitor where your luggage is once you hand it over. And they will not refund you after they're employees steal your belongings. read more

I'm a fan of Alaska Airlines. Great loyalty program, friendly staff, clean and updated airplanes. I've not experienced any delays or issues with their service and appreciate the friendliness of the flight attendants. Bonus is if you get their credit card they have the AWESOME companion fare deal where annually you can purchase a ticket and get the second ticket for just $99+taxes and fees (any price, anywhere!). This feature basically pays for the annual fee if you can find a flight where you are saving the difference of at least $99 (i.e. a flight LA to Hawaii = $399, with the companion fare deal you would be saving around $250 on the second ticket, thus $250 savings greater than $99 annual fee) read more

Worst airline ever! Talk about a ass backwards system. With every airline I've ever flown with, boarding order is the usual. Special needs, First class, premium, economy plus / premium (more leg room, usually emergency exits) then economy. Pretty much from the lowest seat number to the highest. Or from front of the plane to the back. However you want to put it, that's how the order works. Wifey and I are in row 16. After special needs, and first class were boarded. They called row 6-10 to board. There wasn't any economy plus. In any normal airline or universe, the next row would be 10-6, but it was 20-32. WTF?! I asked the airline attendant why they did that and she said it's easier to board all the people in the back first. But didn't specify how it was easier. Since when??? So after 20-32 boarded, it was all other seats. I understand I'm not a first class customer, but we fly quite often, but their system made no sense whatsoever. Been flying Alaska Airlines forever. Even have the credit card, frequent flyer miles. But now, Alaska Air, you've failed my family. We booked way in advanced, so we can have our seats together. Now we have to get to the airport super early and have the counter attendant ask passengers to move seats. We booked early. We are loyal customers. We are responsible parents. I have a severe nut allergy and every flight I've been on, I have been able to let the other airlines know and they have easily been able to adjust accordingly, by not handing out nuts or sell nuts to their passengers. I called the Alaska airlines and though the representative was trying to be as helpful as possible, I was just told exactly the same thing on their website. I fully understand that I cannot control what other people bring to snack on for the flight but I believe that Alaska Airlines should do their part and offer the best service they can by being inclusive of all passengers with a medical condition by not offering to sell nuts and or pass out nuts on the flight. Furthermore, I explained to the rep that I have no issues telling surrounding passengers that I have a nut allergy and the rep just told me to do what I would've normally done anywhere. To which, I responded I would normally leave the room where there is nut exposure and no ventilation however I can't very well jump off the flight. I was also told that "it wouldn't be fair for the other passengers", which is to say Alaskan Airlines would be comfortable with having one passenger slip into anaphylatic shock and have their their throat close if that meant their other passengers can enjoy trail mix. I am not the only passenger who will come to Alaskan Airlines with a severe nut allergy and I don't want this to be the only reason I can't enjoy a flight with Alaskan Airlines. I would just love to fly with you and not feel like my life is being threaten. read more

Alaska conveniently flies a regular schedule from Seattle and Portland into Burbank. This works great for me. Note that Alaska Airlines uses a regional airline Skywest (painted in Alaska livery) for some of its routes here, like to/from Portland. It's not the old Horizon, which is part of the Alaska family. On my recent flight from BUR to PDX, the Skywest pilot brought the CRJ700 to a perfect featherlight landing on a dark and rainy night. I find the Alaska ticketing and gate agents very nice here.
