I took my truck to Bartels for an oil change, and was told my serpentine belt was about to fail. Imminently. They sent me a video (as if I know what a good serpentine belt looks like) and made a big show of how I would not want that to fail in this weather... I'd be stranded... couldn't run the heat, etc. It sounded very grim. Because I've been "little lady-ed" (IYKYK) before, I took it to Last Chance. They did a thorough inspection and said that my serpentine belt showed no cracks, wasn't slipping, wasn't making any weird noises and basically, was fully operational. When it does eventually need replacing, you can bet I will take it to Ron and the team at Last Chance and I won't be returning to Bartels. Ever.

I ended up leaving with a leak I noticed the following morning…read more I came back that following day to get it sorted out and end up being there for about an hour while they check for leaks or anything abnormal with the engine since it was leaking oil now... I was told that it's a defect in the oil filter, and after googling, I will accept that as the truth. What bothers me though is the fact the same Oil that leaked out from my engine is still there. Furthermore, the oil that was spilled during my oil change was not wiped up the 2nd time they had my car either. how can you really look for a leak if you don't clean the engine? Why should you return a customer's car with spillage from you in it? Does it not matter because it's not your own personal car? People make mistakes. We are all humans, so I get it my oil change was late in the day and maybe something got missed. But I can't accept something which is part of "procedure" (firestone employee's words, not mine), was missed twice. Cleaning spills in someone's car is common sense and common courtesy. That's a symptom of a much bigger problem and I would really urge people to tread lightly with this place. I had 3 maintenance's in a row with you guys with no issues. However, This experience has been a total paradigm shift. Respect to the salesman at the counter who tried to remedy the problem, but it wasn't his problem to fix and there was no way that would help the situation. He didn't do anything wrong but still tried to help, so props to you whoever worked the counter on 3/13 and 3/14 in the afternoon. That didn't change my overall very lackluster experience though. I don't expect a detailed engine bay, but clean up the mess you make while working on my car or anyone else's car please. Especially when a problem occurs, after the most routine of maintenance. Not a very good look. Quite ridiculous I'm even having to write this, seeing as I've never written a review before. I will be taking my car to the dealer for a CVI on Monday. Sometimes the grass is greener elsewhere. Prices aren't too bad.

Walked into Firestone 8/14/25 to get 2 tires mounted on my loose rims around 2 O'clock…read more (Angel)Manager told me they would have them done that day tires had to be ordered . To my thought probably a couple hours to mount and balance after pomp's or whoever supplies the tires delivers. Called around 5 talked to Andrew. I was told " we will call you when they are done" with a bit of attitude ok brushed it off. Got a call at 6 from Andrew was told the tech is working on the tires and it was missing a hub cap I explained I have the cap in my possession. I initially started to drive because well it pays .25 to mount and balance a loose tire so it should be done my 6:30. Nope, again Andrew's with an attitude told me to wait because they are extremely bussy. I was told only one tire was mounted. I told them to dismount my tires and I would head down the street to discount. Andrew came back said both wheels were mounted. So regardless I would still have to wait to be balanced. Got my rims back and lord behold a big ole scratch and gauge on my brand new rims. The solution wait another week get my rims powder coated. At this point I'm fed up why couldn't they just do the job right the first time and be done. Now I was refunded 120 for a powder coated bit again the paint won't match my front rims. Have to file a case to get my full refund. Something that could have been done right the first time is now taking more than a week to get done. Thanks a lot Firestone! The bad - when we picked up my wife's vehicle the carpet and seat had oil residue on them. I emailed picture to our service writer and never heard back from him. Later on I received a text inquiring about my experience with their service; so I replied and mentioned the oil on the carpeting and seat. I never received a response from them. I'm not sure if I will take my wife's car back there for future service?
