Came here for an oil change. I ended up leaving with a leak I noticed the following morning…read more I came back that following day to get it sorted out and end up being there for about an hour while they check for leaks or anything abnormal with the engine since it was leaking oil now... I was told that it's a defect in the oil filter, and after googling, I will accept that as the truth. What bothers me though is the fact the same Oil that leaked out from my engine is still there. Furthermore, the oil that was spilled during my oil change was not wiped up the 2nd time they had my car either. how can you really look for a leak if you don't clean the engine? Why should you return a customer's car with spillage from you in it? Does it not matter because it's not your own personal car? People make mistakes. We are all humans, so I get it my oil change was late in the day and maybe something got missed. But I can't accept something which is part of "procedure" (firestone employee's words, not mine), was missed twice. Cleaning spills in someone's car is common sense and common courtesy. That's a symptom of a much bigger problem and I would really urge people to tread lightly with this place. I had 3 maintenance's in a row with you guys with no issues. However, This experience has been a total paradigm shift. Respect to the salesman at the counter who tried to remedy the problem, but it wasn't his problem to fix and there was no way that would help the situation. He didn't do anything wrong but still tried to help, so props to you whoever worked the counter on 3/13 and 3/14 in the afternoon. That didn't change my overall very lackluster experience though. I don't expect a detailed engine bay, but clean up the mess you make while working on my car or anyone else's car please. Especially when a problem occurs, after the most routine of maintenance. Not a very good look. Quite ridiculous I'm even having to write this, seeing as I've never written a review before. I will be taking my car to the dealer for a CVI on Monday. Sometimes the grass is greener elsewhere. Prices aren't too bad.

Doc Motor Works Auto Repair truly saved us on Black Wednesday -- the Wednesday before Thanksgiving…read more-- and I can't say enough good things about them. We were on our way out of town when one of our tires suddenly lost pressure. It was around 5:30pm, most places were closing at 6, and panic quickly set in. We first pulled into a nearby Tuffy to try filling the tire, but as the air went in, we could hear it coming right back out. Frantically looking around, I noticed Doc Motor Works next door and ran in about 10 minutes before closing. They must have seen the desperation on my face because Scott, the owner, was incredibly kind right away. The two gentlemen working with him were just as wonderful. They immediately took our car back and discovered not one, but two nails in the tire -- thankfully both were in spots that could be patched. While they worked quickly and efficiently, we waited inside where they have the coolest kids' area. My son literally said, "This is the best day ever!" The entire experience felt like one of those moments that restores your faith in people. Scott and his team were fast, professional, compassionate, and genuinely caring. Walking into this place completely changed what could have been a very stressful situation. If you're looking for honest, kind, and reliable auto repair -- this is the place. Amazing service all around.

I had a terrible experience at this shop and want to warn other car owners…read more I came in for a simple oil change on my car, which was supposed to cost $50 with a coupon. Before starting, the shop tried to upsell me over $1,000 in "recommended" repairs, including belts, battery, and spark plugs, which I declined. Then, after they drained my oil, they told me the oil filter cap was broken and said they couldn't finish the job unless I paid for a replacement. They claimed it had been "previously overtightened by another shop," but provided no proof that the damage wasn't done by them during the oil change. The oil filter cap is right next to the drain plug, so if it was really broken beforehand, they should have noticed that before draining the oil. At that point, my car had no oil and couldn't be driven, so I was basically forced to pay over $200 just to get my car back from a regular oil change. This felt like a pressure tactic and extremely unprofessional. If there was truly an issue with the part, they should have shown me before touching anything. Instead, I was put in a situation with no choice but to pay more than four times the agreed price. I will never return here and strongly recommend that others avoid this place if you want honest, transparent service.
