I took my family out to have some snacks and bowl. Well, our night was ending so I went to pay and a person was entrenched by the register. I gave a wide berth and walked up to pay. This "customer" was extremely displeased with me going to the register to pay my bill and would not leave us alone. In short, the encounter got so tense so quickly that I told my family to go to the car. If something happened I didn't want my daughter to see anything traumatic beyond that, the customer was fixated on me and this allowed them to escape without any of us being followed while I waited to pay my bill. Anyway, the reason this review is 5 stars has to do with the staff. I can't remember her name but an older lady stepped in had the customer removed and was very kind. I came back again a few months later to meet some friends and saw that the scenario that led to my situation was rectified and the same lady that helped me was on duty. I said hello, thanked her for her help that night and she was very kind again.

Arrugula leaves mentioned in the menu was missing in action. Very tasty and 2 for $15 in our inflationary times of 2025. Got a glass of house red wine that went well with the Bison sliders. Couldn't eat more than that since I ate the humongous Jackfruit Burrito at Modern Tearoom earlier for late lunch. The Complexity menu has a fairly tight menu featuring typical New American hits: Charcuterie, Fromagerie, 10 apps, 12 mains, 10 sides for the mains. Even though they were clearly super busy, they were still very friendly and upfront that there would be about a 15-minute wait for a table. We appreciated the honesty, so we waited patiently and eventually got seated. We found out that the Lancaster location doesn't always have the same beers as the Palmdale brewery location, so unfortunately they didn't have the Waterfront Lager we loved. We were a little bummed, but our waitress gladly brought us samples so we could find something else we liked. We ended up ordering a lighter blonde beer since many of the others were too hoppy for our taste. We also tried their handmade mango and pineapple micheladas and WOW! both were so good. The food was delicious too. We ordered the totchos (loaded tator tots), 6-piece hot wings, and the Asian sliders. Everything came out fresh and flavorful. Even though they were slammed busy, the waitresses continued checking on us regularly throughout the night. Overall, it ended up being a really great date night. I rented out the back patio holding approximately 200 guess. I had over a 80 plus a dog and no one sat on top of each other. There was plenty of room for everyone with a stage which I didn't use. My guess had a great time and the staff were very nice on that evening. I had food catered in so I didn't order anything there but I'm hearing the pizza's and salad's are great. I also had my own music which was ok for the venue since we were in our own area. There was a side gate leading to my private area for the caters to drop off the food along with guess who didn't want to use the main entrance. I will definitely use this venue again and again to host big parties such as that night and recommend it to others as well. Such an amazing time we all had!! But the kitchen needs some attention, because this was definitely one of the more lackluster meals at YH in recent months.
