We're regulars here because we like the empanadas and carne bowl so much. We often get take out, but ate in on a Tuesday at the end of happy hour 3-5. Half price apps are quite the deal!! We ordered empanadas and yuca fries. The new pizza empanada is quite tasty, and we're excited to try the buffalo chicken the next time we are back. We like the chicken followed by the beef the best of the regular flavors. We'll be back again for the sunny seating, kind staff, and delicious food.

Husband and I came here for dinner late on a Friday. Not too busy. Smaller restaurant but cozy. We enjoyed the food. I've never tried Puerto Rican food so can't give an opinion on how authentic it is but it was enjoyable. I'd definitely try other things on the menu. The bowl I got wasn't anything too special just chicken on top of rice. The empanadas were my favorite! Service was quick and friendly!

The ambience is some gangsta Porta rican music (in a good way). There is a second floor. The customer service is good there is nothing to complain about. I ordered the pernil sandwich which was delicious. The meat is cooked perfectly for it is savory, with a slightly salted crispy flavor. The bread is not dry in any way. I throughly enjoyed eating here

We sat out front on the deck - pleasant view of Fairhaven. Delicious tostones with cilantro aioli - quite tasty! Try it with the Lychee juice.

Pollo Guisado Bowl - incredibly tasty! IG - @bilalandjesseatfood

Flavors to the max!! We had the pollo guisado bowl and a pollo sandwich. Both of these dishes offered a tremendous depth of flavor, especially the bowl. The rice was light coated in what felt like broth/sauce from the chicken which made it moist and tasty. Chicken was pulling apart from the bone with ease. Beans were ultra flavorful as well. Just overall great! We ordered take-out and waited inside the restaurant for our food, and our brief interactions with the staff was delightful. The interior of the restaurant was really cozy and we would definitely go back to eat there! Highly recommend!

Unique spot, a few notes: Sandwich = dry. Beware and be sure to order cilantro aioli which was bomb diggidy. Beef Empanada was fire af and so heat, but minuscule for a whopping $5. Seriously you get like $2.5 per bite of this thing. But it's the best 2 bites of your life. Mofongo good but deceiving price because there was like 3 pieces of pork. Yum good pork but sparse. Partial service restaurant so not much on service, but be sure to grab your own utensils or else they WILL forget. The ambiance was just the ticket for a lunch on a May day. Banger music. Puerto Rican flags everywhere you can feel the patriotism in every bite considering there is a tiny flag they put in the food quite literally. Quality luncheon date for me and the missus. Will return for empanada.

We really liked this restaurant. I saw on Yelp that popular items included the empanadas and mofongo. I preferred the chicken empanadas over the beef empanadas. They paired great with the cilantro aioli. The mofongo was the star though--it's made with plantains and pork. It was so delicious with the pickled onions and I really liked how it didn't taste greasy.

The vibe in the restaurant was nice. Felt like we were teleported away for a few hours. Everyone was chatting away eating. It was an open space, but not hard to have a conversation. Our waitress was prompt and attentive. She made great recommendations on wine and food. We ended up taking advantage of their special shared tapas menu for two at $59.50 CAD. I ordered some wine by the glass to go with some of the dishes. We didn't have any preference in the order, so our waitress brought things out as we finished. The spread included bacon wrapped stuffed dates, chorizo puffs, salad, veggies, croquettas, patatas bravas, prawns, beef short ribs, and a chocolate mousse-like dessert. Everything was so tasty! It starts off so well with the bacon wrapped stuff dates and you think there will be a dip in taste at some point. I believe the only dish we didn't finish were the veggies, done ratatouille style, we were pretty full so we chose not to finish this one and make sure we could eat dessert. She did figure out I was american when I tried to give her my credit card. I always forget they bring those credit card devices to your table outside the US. I would definitely go back to try some of the other menu options.

Type of cuisine: Bread. All things freshly baked: bread edition. And all things on freshly baked bread. Sandwiches, pastries, coffees and more. Ambiance: Cozy, and vast, the space is equal parts grandma's country house charm and idyllic Fairhaven. The front is quickly bustling as we enter right as the doors open for the day, a line immediately building up behind. us. This spacious entryway full of menus in chalk and digitally are graced with a plethora of tasty options for snacks, meals, and treats enjoyed in the large, expansive restaurant or outside in the parking space-turned patio seating area. What I ordered: We selected four of their breakfast sandwiches on signature rosemary bread, each one as delicious as the last. For beverages, a mocha, an americano, and two steamed milks made their way to our table. What I loved: The sandwiches. Greasy, full, tasty and full of a novelty of tastes. They were devoured. They've renovated recently, but kept the heart of what makes the place special. It's now more modern, but still feels the same in all the right ways. Every time we're driving to or from Vancouver, this is a must stop for us. Folks that work there always give me the feeling they they like what they do and they know what they are doing. Their wine selection is quirky and fun. And near the register, there are often bottles you just won't see in typical US liquor stores. I usually pick one or two to try. On the food side, we always, always get the beet salad, german potato salad and mac salad- they are all made european style. Those are non-negotiable sides for us. Last visit they had a watermelon gazpacho on the specials menu that perfectly balanced sweet and bright, super refreshing. What they do best is keep things simple but execute flawlessly. A good chunk of the sandwiches you can get half ( then they become slightly expensive halves due to pricing :) )Great bread, great ingredients, no fuss. The Italian sub is proof. It's classic and spot on. My personal go-to, however, is the horseradish roast beef, fantastic combination. And the rotating panini specials are always worth a look. Wonderful food and drinks. I started with oyster shooters (Willapa Bay) along with a Lion's Tail cocktail. Sierra said the bourbon and lime complement each other. I wouldn't have thought so and thought it a bit of an odd choice. But she was right and I was wrong: it was fabulous. One of the most delicious drinks I've ever had, for my tastes. She gave me several recommendations for dinner. I picked the Jalapeño Chicken. It was luscious and flavorful, but the best part of it was my choice of Balsamic Brussels sprouts as my side--oh my! For the area it's a little pricey but i think the view, vibe, and food elevates it above other local fare of fairhaven.
