What a horrific experience. Mr. Lancaster charged me $50 extra dollars for expedited service. What he mailed me 5 days later was an unusable proof of service because he failed to include his fee in the required section five questionnaire. When I discovered his mistake, he emailed me a corrected version, which was also unusable as the court does not accept emails. They only accept faxes or originals., which Mr. Lancaster knew. It has now been two weeks and despite my repeated requests, he has not faxed for mailed the corrected forms. Due to his admitted mistake and failure to deliver the usable original corrected documents in a timely manner, I asked Mr. Lancaster to refund just the $50 expedition fee. He was welcome to keep his $95 server fee. He declined. Without apology for his mistake and with a great deal of condescension, he man-splaned to me how his "new female employee" was responsible for the typo and he would not refund his expedition fee for any reason. Why he felt the need to blame his employee and specifically highlight her gender is beyond me. As of the date of posting, I have not received usable court documents from Mr. Lancaster despite his expedition fee. read more

These people are hands down professionals! I was thrilled to find out that they were able to serve two individuals with whom I've filed suits against and are extremely difficult to locate. Jeff Lancaster has been very communicative and helpful throughout the entire process. I would definitely recommend JPL to anyone who needs to have their court papers served in a timely manner. Thanks, JPL!!! read more

I needed to have an unstable neighbor served with a temporary restraining. The process server assigned by JPL had to endure this individual's tirade and even had to escape to his car as the neighbor chased him. I can't say enough about their tenacity and service in a very difficult situation. read more

I had an excellent experience with JPL Process Service. I only needed a simple legal process served through mail, and in the course of about 15 minutes in their office, it was taken care of. I highly recommend this company and would go back to them without question if I ever need anything like this again. read more

Jeff @ JPL Process Service was great. I emailed the papers to him. Within two days, the four parties were served. For an additional small charge, JPL filed the service with the court. Jeff is very helpful, friendly, easy to deal with. I hope I never have to take legal action again, but if I do, I'll use Jeff @ JPL. read more

Jeff has been prompt and professional thru out this process. I was new to this whole server thing. As I never had to sue anyone but Jeff was patience and answered all my questions and quickly served the guy. He was fast and efficient in getting my small claims served. 5 star all the way! Thanks Jeff! I hope I don't need your services again but will definitely be referring you if anyone I know that needs your services. read more

We had them process my daughter's divorce papers to be delivered to her x did did deliver but it took a lot longer then we were told.

I used JPL for my Small Claims case and I was not disappointed! I've never sued anyone before so I didn't know anything about the process. Jeff was extremely helpful in answering all my questions that I had. He served the other party extremely fast and got the paperwork back to me even faster. If I ever have to do any business with courts again, I will DEFINITELY be using JPL! read more

HIGHLY RECOMMENDED! I needed a one-time process server to handle serving papers for small claims court and found Jeff online with great reviews. Upon inquiring, I was surprised by the speed at which he responded to my request and even made great suggestions to guarantee success in court. Jeff advised me to push my court date due to time restraints and adjust some information on my paperwork and was able to help me get these amended pages into the court, which was a HUGE help to me. Throughout the entire process, communication and professionalism exceeded my expectations, and made for a painless experience. read more

A+ customer service. Jeff was friendly, honest, and very helpful. This is the third time I have used this company. They are simply the best. I recently used another process server in OC and got burned. Don't waste your time with anyone else in OC. Just call Jeff. You will be glad you did. read more

I used JPL Process Service to serve a defendant in a small claims case. The service occurred promptly and I received the proof of service in my mail box within a week. Before I used their services I did a Google search and used the first process server that picked up the phone (the third one listed). This guy took my information and my money and gave me the run around to the point where I had to postpone my court date. This time I did a more thorough search and found JPL. Jeff was extremely informative over the phone and gave me good advice, which didn't result in any immediate business for him. I tried a last ditch effort to get my previous process server to perform. When he didn't, I called Jeff and his company provided the above described service. I think he charges more than average ($75) but the peace of mind and service were worth it. read more

Very few times have I highly recommended a company, but in this case, it's my pleasure to do so. I've used JPL on few court servicing for our business but on our most resent servicing they proved why we depend so much on a professional / reliable company to handle this need. They went the extra mile for our company, they are easy to work with, reliable and provide that extra customer service that most companies fail to provide. Thank you!! read more

Very nice and helpful on phone walking me through before and after. Not sure how many attempts they made but on my end, served quickly.

I strongly recommend JPL Process Service to any law firm or individual in need of a process server. Jeff is extremely professional, responds to emails and phone calls in a timely manner, and always gets the job done properly. His prices are also very reasonable. read more

We will definitely be using JPL again. I work for a small business and this was my first time personally contacting and using a process server. I didn't know what to expect but Jeff was really helpful. He responded to my emails quickly and answered all of my questions. JPL made the whole process so easy and fast! I was particularly worried about one party that we were unable to serve in the past but before I knew it, a couple of days later I was receiving emails that both parties had been served. read more

I hired JPL twice. The first serves was fine, but the next serves was terrible. I had a court date for 1-8- 2018 and JPL served my client on 12-18-2017 and they did not mail my POS until 1-5-2018 and I did not receive it until 1-8-2018 too late for my court date. And when I called them they lied about sending it on time. And now I have to go back to court a second time because of the untimely serve. It won't happen again because I won't use them again. read more

I have a situation where I needed to start the process of serving someone as quickly as possible. On a previous matter this individual managed to dodge service for nearly two months despite an accurate home and employment address. I was worried that they would vanish as they have in the past before service could be completed. Less than 1 week from start to finish and I received a email from JPL letting me know that they have been served. I am very satisfied and happy to know that they were able to complete the job so quickly. I had a concern about the start time of the first service attempt and I will say that they are not only very professional in their communication but also prompt to address any needs or concerns. I will use them in the future if I ever need a process server. read more

Mr. Jeff Lancaster, you have not added anything of significance to what has already been stated by you. All you did was incessantly repeat yourself with your nonsense and rubbish. That will not help your case. If you want to be taken seriously, you might want to first try to make sense in the things that you say. Clearly, there is something missing up there. No need to further embarrass yourself with your words in your desperate attempt to try to save face. Not that I need to explain anything to you, but, for the record, I did not intentionally delete or change any of my assertions. I stand by them with conviction. What happened was that when I tried to respond to your initial preposterous comments, I accidentally erased my first post without knowing. Since I do not post very often, unless absolutely necessary, where I feel the perpetrator deserves to be known about the ill-advised conduct, obviously I unintentionally click on the wrong button. So, having said that, I know you like to erroneous assume many things, but for your own benefit, it would be judicious to not jump the gun because in doing that, it is you that is being perceived as being completely ignorant. I would never take back any of the things that I said. Your conduct has been objectively evaluated, and you absolutely deserve the one star review. In fact, if I was able to give zero stars, that is what you would get. Get it? Absolutely no one would put up with your attitude. It is extremely important to learn proper phone etiquette to prevent you from dealing with the wrath of your prospective callers. Further, please recognize that even if I was to give you the benefit of the doubt concerning all your assertions, there are still too many inconsistencies. The fact that I did not divulge important information does not mean that you can then illogically and erroneously assume that I am serial rapist or murderer, etc., when you fully know that I am an attorney. If you are paranoid without reasonable basis, then that is on you, not anyone else. As for free services, unlike you, I would gladly give free services to my clients without whining or complaining about it. It is a kind gesture, and, if I can do it, I would be more than happy to do so. If not, I would politely tell them I can't, not respond the way you did like a 5 year old child. Last, if you wish to take action, I enthusiastically invite you to do so. I would be more than happy to respond with my cross-complaint and then with subsequent action against you for abuse of process and malicious prosecution. All told, to the entire Yelp community, I have reasons to be disgusted with this business. If you need to look for someone to serve papers because you can't find someone of legal age not involved in the case to do it for you, there are so many others out there that offer better prices and better professional services. Mr. Jeff Lancaster was rude and obnoxious to me, and, definitely, he has shown his true colors with his responses. I do not underestimate anyone reading my post. I will let you be the judge of whether Mr. Jeff Lancaster's conduct should be condoned. Best. read more

I called them up from a web-site, and was sold after talking with them. This was my first time of using a process server. I was concerned how they would serve her since all I had was the home address. But, on the third try, Jeff and his guys were able to serve her. He later walked me through the next step of going to file at the courts and go to the same window that I filed it at.. I would certainly use his company again if needed, and I would highly recommend Sandy read more

Just called this co. to inquire if they would take a stolen dog case and the man on the phone said, no they didn't deal with things like that (reasonable enough) but when I asked if he knew of anyone who would take a case like that he said, "The police?", Really? I mean, REALLY??? The star rating here seems inadequate because I have no idea if they do other jobs well--they do have good ratings but, honestly, I'm distressed out of my wits and one would think this type of business would be accustomed to distraught people. read more

I am an attorney and use process servers in almost every county in CA. JPL is my go-to for service in Los Angeles County. Jeff and the JPL staff are extremely competent, responsive, and reasonable. Knowing I can rely on them takes away the stress associated with needing to arrange for personal service. The proofs of service are always correctly filled out (you'd be surprised how rare that is) and service is always timely. Prices are competitive and reasonable. Could not recommend using JPL more! read more

I've never had to hire a process server before, and hopefully i never have to again BUT in the event i do, i 100% highly recommend JPL Process Service! Jeff and all his staff will be my go to first. There was never message i left that wasn't unanswered, no email i sent that wasn't written back....i literally have zero complaints. But it's yelp, so i guess my complaint is i don't live closer to their office. Not that matters.....Jeff and his staff worked relentlessly on my behalf. My ex had been hiding from being served custody paperwork and was doing a pretty good job at dodging the bullet. Jeff and his team never stopped until the job was done. I kept updating him with any and ALL information i was getting to whereas and whom my ex was living with and my ex was finally served. Jeff...you and your team are truly good humans that enjoy what you do and don't stop until the job is done!! I can't even thank you enough!!!! And i get, not every person can be served, or found...nature of the beast, some people are really good at hiding where they are and who they are BUT all the effort and diligence that I saw Jeff and his team put into their work...is truly amazing. And it paid off! Again. Many many thanks to you and your team! read more

I reached out to JPL with a VERY difficult situation, to try to serve a TRO on someone who had evaded service 20+ times with the Sheriff and other private process servers. I originally used the very easy online order form, and almost immediately got a response from Jeff, the owner. From that point on, we communicated directly via email and phone. Jeff is extremely knowledgable in his industry, and has a network of different registered process servers working with him. He was strategic in his approach to my situation, very communicative, and incredibly fair with his pricing. He was also cognizant of the sensitivity of my situation and making sure nothing went wrong. I felt confident that if he couldn't get this person served, no one could. He was a bit of a shining light in a nightmare situation, and in the end, he and his team successfully served the respondent. I'm so grateful to him for getting results, and even more so for being my partner through this stressful time. read more
