Hired JPL beck in December 2021. Jeff is professional and a great communicator. His staff was able to serve court papers in two attempts. I highly recommend JPL for your process serving needs ! I appreciate the flat rate JPL offers to serve papers. I had to hire JPL again in April to serve sane person. His staff tried to serve 5 times and with Jeff's great communication and insight , it was discovered the person needing to be served no longer lived at that address. They sent my court papers out for service without the initial documents from the case, when you point out any errors they don't take accountability whatsoever & they will try to find a way to blame you for any discrepancies. They sent me an invoice for service knowing they didn't have any of the documentation and never offered a refund. The sheriff's department & his attorney both also verified that the respondent does, in fact, live where they attempted to serve him partial paperwork and they didn't even offer to track him down or do a skip trace, although it would have shown the same. I've spent $1,000 with them & their poor treatment of me never wavered. I've already been targeted after going viral, to be so, in order for media to help narrate lies from the Respondent who is well known to cover up his many crimes committed against me. They have only assisted in his evading of service at this point. They didn't even offer a refund for over charging me for a subpoena deposition response that I paid for twice after initially telling me that I overpaid & I was supposed to receive a refund or for not having the documents with them during the failed service attempts. Don't waste your time or money. They don't care. read more

Horrible company that I hired in 2015 for a case in which I was helping a domestic violence victim. They claimed to have done everything possible to serve the DVRO but I knew one of the other daughters in the house and these guys never even rang the doorbell to the house of the abuser. In 2018, the same woman decided she had suffered enough with her abuser. This time I knew not to pay these guys another $250 and instead learned about the drinking habits of the 2 of the 3 people being served and found out about their routine of getting booze on Friday nights. I went to the liquor store and enquired about the people - and the owner said - oh yes, I know him "Mr.Mondavi". So as I was going to buy a bottle of the defendant's favorite wine - to my amazement- the two targets of the restraining orders walked in and I was able to personally serve them myself. They knew me from the previous case so they were shocked when I walked up to them and served them on the spot with witnesses even. I did a better job doing it myself than hiring these people. I also found someone much better in a company called Peterson Investigations for other cases that I had. Also, the owner - Jeff was very rude when I questioned their efforts so I learned the hard way about what not to do by hiring JPL Update: Nice try to deny the review. I have the receipts and my complaint letters to you. It's not an anonymous review and you obviously know my name as I know yours. I did not hire another company - I risked my own safety to serve the DVRO as I was not the one filing. You also say it's not an accurate review because of the time lag but I still remember the horrible service. I just want people to know they can save the headaches and hassles of dealing with your lousy and rude service. Most good business owners would make an attempt to remedy with a client but you have no such interest. Time for you to look in the mirror. I have been working with JPL for several years now, probably close to 5 years. Sure we can have bumps in the road with service and finding people but Jeff never disappoints me. They do their due diligence and pretty good in finding and serving people. Very professional, very approachable and responsive. Never had a problem with him. He has done probably about 400 services for me (without exaggeration) from a simple court filing to serving the most difficult people. They do their best, they care, and they deliver results. I was planning to go with a cheaper process server but am glad that I did not. Jeff answered a lot of my questions upfront, during, and after the serve. Overall, they did a really great a job of finding the defendant and although we had to resort to substitute service, they provided documentation of their 5 attempts (at all times of the day) to reach the guy. Their payment system was a little weird, you have to enter the amount to pay, but it wasn't too hard to figure out. The interface lets you upload all of the documents you need to serve. Finally, once the serve has been made, they send you a detailed summary about what happened. I hope I don't need to serve any more legal papers in Orange County, but if I do, I'll be using JPL again. read more

They are a wonderful company! It was my first time having to hire a process service so I didn't have a lot of experience. I went through the sheriff department first but they were not able to serve the defendant. The sheriff department only serve during business hours Monday-Friday. I'm happy that I found JPL because my server was able to find the defendant around 8:00pm at her home address. Their fee is pretty reasonable for the exceptional services they provide. I found JPL Process Service through a simple Google search. Since I live out in a rural part of California, in Calaveras County, I was concerned that JPL would not be able to handle the matter in a timely fashion, as there was a tight deadline attached to the service. But, I have to tell you, JPL really impressed me and delivered the service on the defendant with three+ hours to spare on the deadline. Also, I am very impressed with Jeff's personalized service corresponding with me directly via phone over the weekend when they were closed for normal business operations and constantly and consistently by email. Do you know that they provided the service and did not charge me until the service was done? I am extremely satisfy with their service. Therefore, if you need to service any legal document, this is the place to go. You should believe me because they served my summons after I paid a higher fee to Small Claims Services USA, LLC, located in San Diego; dealt with Tony. This person received payment, promised the service to be completed within 10 to 15 days. 30 days later, after various follow-up emails and phone calls, Tony determined to refund my money because he never service the documents and he was upset when I confronted him with his promise of delivering within two weeks max. I hired JPL Process Servicing Company in the early parts 2020 to serve various pleading summons, complaints and notices for months business servicing was very much acceptable, up until September 2021 Servers Tim Ault failed to insert 2nd Amended Complaint in the Proof of Service to Court that was paid for causing the court to reject the summons and complaint, on three parties, extra money was paid for additional process serving and filing for the court to issue Judgment. It honestly boggles my mind that people would leave a negative review on a great business after it is their fault that they didn't check. Come on people, use a free online background report or a USPS address check to make sure the defendants address is still accurate. This literally takes a few extra minutes and will save you the extra cost. These guys deliver plain and simple. I have used them twice now, one time for serving a lawsuit to a defendant and one time for serving a Subpoena to a witness. Both times, the guys at JPL were quick to respond on emails and other communication and I promptly received original signatures in the mail from the Server after the successful deliveries and they also faxed the documents to the court house. Very bad experience. My whole proceedings got overturned and all the fees paid went a waste because of them not filing proof correctly. Not accountable, Buyer beware...never use again Jeff at the very least take accountability for your mistake and don't twist facts. Whatever you gave me was filed , which is why it was heard. I never asked you not to file proof - why would I? The court has determined that there was no proof you served, hence they overturned everything. It looks like you just filled out the papers, never did serve, took my money and sent it to me. read more

My case was very difficult given that I asked him to provide service on someone who is homeless and jobless and the only information I had was that he was sleeping and panhandling on the streets of Venice Beach. What a horrific experience. Mr. Lancaster charged me $50 extra dollars for expedited service. What he mailed me 5 days later was an unusable proof of service because he failed to include his fee in the required section five questionnaire. When I discovered his mistake, he emailed me a corrected version, which was also unusable as the court does not accept emails. They only accept faxes or originals., which Mr. Lancaster knew. It has now been two weeks and despite my repeated requests, he has not faxed for mailed the corrected forms. Due to his admitted mistake and failure to deliver the usable original corrected documents in a timely manner, I asked Mr. Lancaster to refund just the $50 expedition fee. He was welcome to keep his $95 server fee. He declined. Without apology for his mistake and with a great deal of condescension, he man-splaned to me how his "new female employee" was responsible for the typo and he would not refund his expedition fee for any reason. Why he felt the need to blame his employee and specifically highlight her gender is beyond me. As of the date of posting, I have not received usable court documents from Mr. Lancaster despite his expedition fee. read more
