I hired this company to perform process service for an upcoming court hearing scheduled for March 9, 2026 at 9:30 AM. On the morning of the hearing, I contacted the company to obtain the status of service and any service attempt information. Because the court required detailed information regarding service attempts, a court clerk also contacted the company seeking the dates and times of any attempts. At that time, the requested information was not provided. My hearing proceeded without the service information, and the matter was concluded shortly thereafter due to the lack of completed service. Several hours later, at approximately 12:27 PM on March 9, 2026, after the hearing had already ended, the company sent a report containing alleged service attempts from March 5 through March 8. My concern is not simply whether service attempts were made. My concern is that the information was not made available before the hearing, when it was actually needed. As a result, the service had no practical value to me at the time of the court proceeding. After I disputed the charge with my credit card issuer, the company continued to send invoices and informed me that finance charges would accumulate and that the account may eventually be sent to collections. read more

After the second time, they gave me a refund and I was told my payment information had been removed and that I would not be charged again. After the third, time, I filed a complaint with the California Attorney General's Office and with the BBB (though they are not a BBB-accredited business). read more

Plus, I feel that you guys provide very personalized service and are very responsive to our requests. We just got our Petition to Publish Notice of Intent to Foreclose granted. This was one where we tried serving this lady who would turn her TV up every time a process server knocked on the door. I'm so glad the process server noticed this. We even sent someone on Xmas Eve and again, dogs barking, then she turned her TV up louder when the server started knocking. By far the worst organization i have worked with. i hired them to serve 3 defendants (that are located at the same address) in Chicago as i'm located in CA. i hired them and paid for the services i need on dec 18. i didn't get the first report until dec 30 which says: date: 12/24/2025 time: 10:44 am address attempted: (redacted) the gate to the main door is locked. side gate to two units is unlocked. i went and knocked. no answer. male came down and said the two are air bnb's. when asked for montoya, the male stated that (defendant) rents from him and that he lives in colorado. he then went in quickly. cameras all over i don't know what the person said over the ring camera (i later found out this was how they communicated) but would anyone be willingly declare themselves if they suspected to be in trouble? i got the second report 1/15/26 which says identical words: the gate to the main door is locked. side gate to two units is unlocked. i went and knocked. no answer. male came down and said the two are air bnb's. when asked for (defendant), the male stated that (defendant) rents from him and that he lives in colorado. he then went in quickly. cameras all over date: 1/7/2026 time: 11:30 am address attempted: (redacted) male peeked through the window, then had a conversation via ring. he said that he is just a tenant here, he does know (defendant name). he moved to colorado. date: 1/15/2026 time: 2:54 pm address attempted: (redacted) no answer at the door . Mind you, i actually hired a pi to verify the defendant's home address and it is indeed the one i gave to this company. the person i have been working with, alondra, is very disengaged, with her email responses very short and not trying to work with us the customer. very unprofessional. read more

I really found this service processing company very easy and pleasant to deal with. The owner, Jeff, whether he could see my legal desperation or my misery as a parent looking to find a solution to an estranged adult child, was happy to work with me on costs and on getting people served as needed. Would thus thoroughly recommend for your legal needs in this area. They can also file for you if you need them to and if you are not able to do this yourself. 3/27/24 If anyone is planning to use this service company to serve a legal document, I would say you should probably look for someone else to serve the documents. I had to email this server office several times over several days or nearly two weeks with instructions on what and how to serve. I'm not sure but it seems that they are simply incompetent people working here. When I originally told them to serve the business during the day before 5pm when they close, the server goes at 6:51pm to serve when the business is closed. I told them the individual or the business office clerk could be served yet they tried to serve the individual who lives out of state. On the 5th try they finally served the business but they had the wrong court and wrong court address on the proof of service form SC-104 which they weren't paying attention to since the form SC-134 has the correct courthouse address on it for them to see if they were doing their job correctly. I shouldn't have to keep calling and emailing JPL Process Server to tell them what they are doing wrong or what needs correcting. This office just seems very unprofessional to be serving court documents. My advice is not to use them. Our case was only a small claims case that we won a $10,000 judgment on and that the debtor just paid to the court a few days ago $10,250, so actually we didn't even need to serve after all since the judgment is now satisfied. Hopefully we won't need to sue anyone else in the future, but if we do and have to serve the documents, we won't use this place. read more

JPL process servers were efficient and polite. They said I was able to email everything , and pay my fee ( via card) but due to 90% of my exhibits being in COLOR , I decided to drive directly to them In Orange county. They were helpful and explained everything to me. The team delivered my documents in about 4 days later and I had my receipt in my " inbox " same day. Which -I printed and then took to submit to our Riverside County Courthouse. You can also pay JOL a small fee to finish your process by submitting your served copies as well. But I couldn't pay the extra right now . WOULD recommend this company. I will DEFINITELY use Them again. read more

The admin responds fairly quickly but they were unable to serve a difficult defendant after multiple attempts. Fortunately I was able to hire someone else who was successful. JPL then e-filed both their non-service report with details of each attempt and the proof of service form the independent process server completed. read more

Terrible customer service lacking any sense of professionalism. I placed an online order for service of a cease and desist letter to my neighbor across the street. I specified it not be given to the wife of the man who lives there because she is the primary problem, but JPL gave her the letter anyway instead of serving her husband to whom the letter was addressed. When the process sever left, she stopped in front of my home in a red zone and sat there for 30 seconds. This was the exact behavior I was demanding my neighbor stop doing. On my security cameras, I could see the process server conspiring with my neighbor to "see if I would notice the illegal behavior, jeez. When I emailed to complain about the service, I was called a liar and told by Jeff, whom I presume is the owner of this business, that by filing a claim with my credit card company, I would be committing credit card fraud. I was not aware that Jeff was a lawyer or judge, but you know my wife is an attorney. So, obviously I ignored Jeff's comments and filed the claim. if your service is performed to your satisfaction, good for you, but if you have any concerns or issues, don't expect Jeff or JPL to care. Jeff even had the nerve to suggest that if I had written him a sugary sweet email, instead of getting straight to the point, he would have offered to re0serve my neighbor at no charge. By the way, he also claimed that he makes only $9 profit on each process service he performs (at a cost to you of $90), I told him that as a CPA, I know you can't run a business like that, but he stuck to his story and insisted he was telling the truth, which is probably not possible. In the end, you can certainly find more polite people to do business with and even if costs a few dollars more, it will be better than dealing with Jeff and this company that doesn't care on bit about customer service or customer relations. This was my fourth time using JPL, but it will definitely be my last. read more

They did their job, however, they called us today stating we owed them late fees. They "waved them" after we showed them proof that we were paid in full. Be careful they don't secretly try to charge you late fees especially when you paid in full the first time. Kind of strange if you ask me. read more

I hired them to serve documents to an individual that is challenging to catch that's why from the very start of the process I provided them the best times to deliver the papers but they did not follow the said schedule. I called them to raise my concern but they gave me an excuse that server is required by law to do several attempts with different times. And while I was still expressing my frustration on the phone, they hang up on me. Also, while booking their service, they promised that they will give updates as soon as any attempt has already been made on server side but I only got updates when I followed up after 3 days of the expected start of their service. NOT A FAKE REVIEW. Plz read and save your $ What a terrible service. Use anyone BUT these guys. I hired them to serve someone for small claims court, which costed $100. After paying the fee and dropping off the paperwork, they attempted to serve the person at their home. The process server knocked on the door, a woman answered and said "no one by that name lives here". JPL sent me an email saying they couldn't serve the paper becuz the person doesn't live there. Really? This is even after I gave JPL the person drivers license, picture and I was certain they live there. One attempt and they basically gave up. I guess they have never heard of people trying to "duck" service. So I called them and asked if that's all they were going to do..... after a short conversation with a guy (Jason I think) he said he could try and verify the person lives at the location through the Post Office. $25 later I received ZERO word from these people. Weeks later I had to go in personally and ask them what was going on with my case. They said the post office didn't reply and they had to resubmit the paper to them. The guy told me to call back in a couple days, which I did. Still no movement on my case "call back in a week". REALLY!!!! I gave up on these people after that and kissed my $125 goodbye.... the next day I had my friend walk up to the house serve these people for free. JPL... what a waste of my time and money. So everyone knows, this is NOT an exaggerated post....100% true. This place is minimum effort for top dollar. Msg me and I'll gladly tell you my horrible experience directly. read more
