Used service again and this 2nd time I didn't pay the next day service I paid regular process service called and followed up a couple days later Michael never served respondent and Michael never submitted proof of service so when I went to court my court case got pushed back another month!!!! I even can not give one star, I have reported this company to its insurance provider, Western Surety Company in South Dakota, and to the Orange County Clerk-Recorder. They deserve to know how this company conducts its business. While I won't go into the details here, if you're looking for a reliable process server, do not use this company. You will almost certainly be ignored or mistreated. Choose a different provider. If anyone else has had an experience like mine, you should report them as well. Your voice should be heard. I used OCPSI to serve a contractor that performed substandard work and refused to do anything about it. The defendant was difficult to serve because he was dodging the servers by refusing to answer the door. Multiple attempts were made and OCPSI was finally able to complete the service. I found him by basically blind dialing, when I was under a time crunch to get a deflective plaintiff in Laguna served. My case is most likely still alive because of Michael's proficiency. After contacting the OC Sheriff's Department for their process service and enduring pathetically poor customer service, I chose to pay more with Orange County Process Server. We expected complications with the defendant I needed to serve, but Michael knows his craft and the nature of the beast well. He took the time to educate me on the best course of action to take. There's no way a friend or the sheriff's department could have provided such wisdom. Within two hours of first contacting Michael, he had my difficult defendant served with one attempt! Thirty minutes before the Zoom mediation for my case, I contacted Michael when I had difficulties following the convoluted instructions on court documents. He directed me to his website, and after about ten more clicks, he had me exactly where I needed to be in time for the mediation. Reached out to Michael to serve the same person and both times he did it promptly and effectively. He knows the laws and the timing of when things need to be done. Unfortunately with these emergency hearings it leaves little time to get that done. By the time I obtained the documents and got them to Michael it only left an hour to spare. The good thing was that the documents that I needed to be served were served. The reason I chose to take stars: -It took (what I consider) a substantial amount of time (nearly 2 months) to serve the documents. When I offered to make the process easier by calling the person to be served when the company intended to serve I was told it would be an extra fee. -I asked for confirmation that they filed the necessary documents with the courts..to date...no response. Overall, too unprofessional for the service that's offered. I would pay a little more for someone who is more reliable. Edit: In response to Michael's comment: Michael did do a follow up (after reading the review). Had he taken a position of trying to resolve the problem, things would have turned out well. However, instead, he was VERY defensive (went down the list of the issues I noted in my review). Ultimately, he acknowledged mailing the documentation to the wrong address. To his credit, he emailed me a copy of the documentation and agreed to mail the originals. He also explained that he does not file documentation with the court (which I understood, but had no documentation to file with the courts myself). After realizing he sent the documentation to the wrong address he apologized. Again, this could've been resolved in a positive way but Michael's attitude got in the way of that. read more
