UPDATE: it's been about 6 months and Ron still has yet to do the job I paid him for (collecting funds).... He had me Zelle him $400 and then kept my money and didn't do the job. I have emailed and trying to communicate with him for months. All I wanted is my money back because he is incapable of doing the job he said he could do. He just kept telling me over and over that he got in a "car accident" or that he was busy or some excuse. There are many companies in LA who are reputable, go somewhere else. This is F- service.... He's a chatty one but did the service to a corporate agent quickly and easily. He didn't bluster like other servers--he agreed that serving a corporate agent less than a mile from him would be easy. BEWARE!!!! DO NOT USE - I hired Ron 3.5 years ago and heard every excuse after excuse you can imagine. He obtained a judgement but since it 3.5 years later the court dropped it! Ron was very helpful and has lots of knowledge to help those with a small claims case. In my case, the agent for service of process (working out of her home) was not home, but her mother answered. I was within 15 days, so substituted service would have resulted in a delay. He thought to have this lady at the property get her daughter on the phone where she verbally accepted personal service. I'm not sure I would have thought of something like that if I were there doing this with my brother or a neighbor performing service.
