Any shop that offers a 10% discount in exchange for a positive review should, in my opinion, be approached with caution. My experience with this shop was far from positive. A truck that had 250,000 miles on it and was showing signs that should have raised some serious questions about a failing head gasket. Instead, I was led through a series of costly repairs that basically treated the symptoms instead of finding the actual problem. Those repairs ultimately failed within a few weeks. They also installed what I believe were cheap aftermarket parts, including the wrong front struts. When I brought it to their attention, instead of taking responsibility and replacing them, they wanted to charge me to install a lift on the rear of the truck to compensate for the front end sitting higher than the rear. WTF? Another big concern was the price and quality of the parts. When I asked about the brand of the parts they were installing, which seemed they were hesitant to reveal, I was surprised to find what appeared to be nearly a 100% markup compared with retail prices. Their invoices also don't identify the brand or manufacturer of the parts, so you really don't know what you're paying for. In my experience, the parts were marked up an unreasonable amount, especially considering the quality. Looking back, I feel like the focus was more on getting me to authorize additional repairs rather than properly figuring out what was actually wrong with the truck, knowing Id probably just cut my losses if I had been told the truth about the head gasket from the beginning. I originally brought my truck here because I was trying to avoid dealership prices. Unfortunately, when I finally took it to the dealership, that's when I learned what was actually wrong with the truck, which was in fact the head gasket and the wrong struts installed. The dealership also asked me if I had ever used a quick sealant in my engine because of the sludge they found in the radiator overflow, the radiator that auto clinique just replaced. I don't have proof, but definitely raised even more concerns about the shop practices. I was so hopeful that I had found an honest shop, but sadly, I'd have to say they are far from it. And Ray, I'm not interested in you telling me how you offer a year warranty on your parts and repairs. Thank you

I know this location can get hectic, so I decided to make an appointment where I mentioned I have a $20 off of oil change. Received a confirmation email with another coupon in it, all right!!! I learnt something new. Please try yourself! Saving money is crucial these days. I drove in, I am sure we all know how their system works, was helped right away, stayed in my car. Upon checking the oil, I have been told that it looks nice and clear, but it is a bit low. This young man told me he will not change my oil, and figured out that I will need a coolant change. Never had one, usually you do not need one until 100.000 miles, my car had 114.000 miles. Supposed to be a $125 but with coupons and kindness I paid much much less :) I looked up how much that cost at other places, found prices between $200-$400 and also a long wait time. It was still done in 10 minutes. I am so grateful for him and makes me happy that people who really care are still around. We have been getting our oil changed here for years, never been disappointed. This time was no different! Honked as leaving (sign of a satisfied customer) and the coupon I got for oil change is still valid. Life is good and Take 5 as well!

I originally took my Nissan Titan to Valvoline just for an oil change. The truck was not having any…read moretransmission problems at all when I brought it in. While I was there, one of the employees recommended that I have the transmission serviced and told me they could do it. They tried several times to hook their equipment up, had problems doing it, and transmission fluid ended up coming out. They added fluid back, but I still have not been given anything showing how much fluid was lost, how much was put back in, what exact fluid they used, or how they confirmed the transmission had the correct amount in it afterward. I was there for over an hour. In the end, they told me they were unable to complete the transmission service and basically said they weren't charging me for it. Unfortunately, it feels like I've been "paying" for that attempted service ever since. The transmission started having problems after that visit. I spoke with the store manager, Ben, and at his request I took the truck to Auto Clinique. I actually took it there twice. They told me they could see a transmission problem, recommended that I take it to a dealership, and relayed their findings back to Valvoline. After that, Ben recommended I take the truck to Fifth Gear Automotive. Fifth Gear pulled a small sample of the transmission fluid and said it smelled burned and had metal in it. They also told me they could not really determine how much damage there was without doing a transmission service and fully evaluating the fluid. Valvoline would not approve that service. They later called me and said they considered the problem normal wear and tear and were not taking responsibility for it. What makes that hard for me to accept is that the truck had zero transmission symptoms before the Valvoline visit. Also, while the truck has around 145,000 miles on it, the transmission itself does not. Nissan replaced the transmission at around 95,000 miles, so this transmission only had about 45,000 miles on it when this happened. The communication afterward has also been frustrating. Prior to September 4th, Ben was great, apologetic, and determined to make this right for me. On September 4th, he called, said that he and the area manager determined it was normal wear and tear, and were not accepting any responsibility for the transmission symptoms or damage. I was told the Area Manager, Brittany, would contact me within 48 hours or two business days. Five business days went by with no call. I followed up again and still did not hear back. At this point, I'm disappointed with how the situation has been handled from both the service side and the management side. I'm still looking for a reasonable explanation of what happened and a fair resolution.

This shop isn't even close to where the car is held but I was somewhat in the area in West Plano. So many of these shops are just so terrible and want you to come in so they can rip you off and not be transparent. I'm helping my friend to get her vehicle repaired and one thing I have learned during this process is that shop after shop are rude, dismissive, vague in my expected fees and if their diagnostic will even diagnose the issue with certainty....most people are probably okay with this and will just pick a shop and take their chance. I would rather rent my friend a vehicle and find a shop that's going to business the right way. When enough shops open that are customer service focused, transparent about their process, and don't charge prices that are a ripoff (if an independent shop is charging prices comparable to a dealer, that's a ripoff) - they are going to take market share and hopefully end up shutting down shops like this one. Busca otro sitio.
