I reached out and gathered estimates from more than 15 places in the area. Every other contractor didn't seem to grasp the complexities of the work I was trying to get quoted, but I could tell James completely understood and listened to me. His price was also very fair. He made the whole process straightforward. When a couple unexpected problems came up, he explained the situation to me and provided me with fair options. Update to Complaint/Review HomeSpec Waterproofing and…read moreFoundation Repair I am writing to provide an update regarding my experience with HomeSpec Waterproofing. In 2024 I entered into a contract (which I paid cash for) with HomeSpec to have my basement waterproofed and a sump pump installed. Over the following two years my basement continued to take on water after heavy rainfalls. After multiple visits that yeilded no answers and a periood where communication stalled, I posted a negative review to express my frustration. Shortly after posting, HomeSpec reached out and sent a team back to my home. Thats when management representative Brian stepped in and took full accountability for finding the root cause. He used a practical methods to track the water flow, he placed paper towels around the perimeter to pinpoint the entry point and found it. After the next rain he had his crew to remove the drywall and insulation to expose the hidden leak. Once the leak was identified, the crew repaired the issue. As of 9/2/2026, HomeSpec has restored my basement by installing new insulation, putting up and painting new drywall as replacing my electrical fixtures in the area where there was water damage. While the overall process took a long time and required significant peristance to reach a solution, I want to extend my sincere appreciation to Brian for his professionalism, determination to making things right, Hopefully the issue is now resolved, and I will be monitoring the basement during upcoming rainfalls to ensure the fix remains permanent. I have to give credit where credit is due. Thank You Brian.

High strength epoxy injection was chosen since there had been no water leaks and both inductive and thermal imaging confirmed there was no moisture concern in any of the basement walls. Throughout the entire process HomeSpec were very professional and courteous, from their office staff through to the field technicians. In particular the technicians Mike B. and Michael W. did a great job and worked well as a team. The cracks were repaired proficiently and the work site was well cleaned and all debris removed before departing. Overall 5 stars.

We paid a little bit more, but looking at the complete job, it was well worth it. Sam hustled to get the crew in quickly once the material arrived. The installation crew... Also, Sam. Arrived on time and worked for 6-1/2 hrs without a break and did a superior job of prep and chasing squeaks. Then installation went very smoothly- the trimming out was really nicely detailed. The reason I decided on allowing this company to do the job was they were able to install next day. What did I hate the most about the install, the late start and the excessive amount of breaks. So much so another company here to install something, mentioned it. "I did not take off marks for that." It was just the worst part of the install. The best thing I loved about the installation is the color of the LVP. A better choice than the other companies I received quotes from. ----- I hate the pricing model from all of the companies. I'd like to see that I was charged the same as the people before me, apples to apples, prices are listed so I can see for myself. ($8+ a sq foot for 420 sq ft and there is no flooring to move. Compare it to the rest of the flooring that was done that included 21 steps. Rooms were bigger and there was carpet, and tack strips to take up. Plus, they already had the product on the truck, per installer. My fear, and I believe it happened. 1st sale was to get the job and the second was to make up the difference from the first sale. I felt I was stuck between a rock and a hard place. I loved the color and the reason they didn't get a score of 5 , I just wanted it over. Even though I knew $8+ was on the high side of competitive while telling me you're giving me a deal. Only y'all know if you lied. Since I'm not presented with a price sheet. I hate the, today it's 5, tomorrow it's 2 and next week it's 10. Whatever your head decides it is. You feel robbed while they're smiling in your face. Not once did someone mention the 60% installation, why, cause there's no such thing. Vent over! At the end of the day, I love the color and, install, the people were friendly and my salesman was Great!! He was knowledgeable of the product and delivered what he promised.

He also never showed up on the day of installation to check the job either. The installation was only "ok." I had to fix and repair dings around doors from the crew, they were a little messy and I am just hoping this carpet was installed right and there are no issues. Communication was on point!…read more I was super happy I didn't need to purchase any new materials - since my backing was pushing in he was able to reuse the existing tile without cracking either. My biggest fear was if mold was behind the tile - he was confident it wasn't. But of course I asked if it was and he did give me a price like I asked so I would be prepared. The work took 2 days due to drying time and he was able to work with my weird schedule as well. Definitely will use company in the future. Side note - the owner came each day to review the workers progress and the work; provided all the update information. Happy home improvement!!!
