Sure No problem Aldo arrived on time he quoted me a great price to replace 2 Four Foot Kitchen Fluorescent fixtures with 2 Four Foot LED light fixtures. Aldo did some excellent electrical work at my mom's old house in Los Angeles. Aldo was professional and finished the job within 60-90 minutes. I contacted other electricians but they never replied back, anyway their lost. I have two table…read morelamps with dimmable sockets that were built for incandescent lightbulbs; but since you can't buy those anymore, I wanted to see if it was possible to convert them for dimmable LED bulbs by simply replacing the sockets. No place I called could give me a straight answer, but one of them recommended I reach out to Modern Lighting. They actually trialled my question on a lamp they had in house, so that I didn't have to drive to them until there was reasonable certainty they could do what I needed. They quoted me a price, and I went in the next day. Not only did they get the job done, it ended up costing less than their estimate. Very grateful to Jeff and the rest of the team that, in this day where there are few specialty experts anymore, they still exist and were super nice to boot!

We had two lamps, but I didn't like it because you have to walk over to the lamps in the corner to turn them on in the darkness! An electrician installed a ceiling connection and wired it to a wall switch by the room entrance. I browsed the Lamps Plus website and went to the Pasadena location to see their products in person. So glad I did, I got a good look and selected the perfect ceiling fixture for my home. The sales personnel were very helpful and made recommendations, which made it easier to narrow my choices down to the final three. They have "fancy" chandeliers, LED lighting, wall scones, floor lamps, interior and exterior lighting options. I learned so much about the different styles such as a flush mount, a hanging swag light, and features such as a dimmer with different light tones from high to low. I chose a Mission Tiffany Pendant light (sounds like a necklace, lol). As I write this review, I am in the dining room with the light above me! All I have to do is flip the switch and the room glows. Of the two products I ordered on 9/26, one didn't ship until 10/4 and didn't arrive until 10/10. The other product, as of 10/23, still hasn't even shipped. I wrote an email to inquire about it, and apparently the items in my order were processed "for drop ship direct from manufacturer" and the remaining item hasn't even been manufactured yet. If I'd known it was just going to be direct from manufacturer, I'd have gone to any of the dozens of other websites offering the same thing for lower cost and with free shipping. On the positive side, at least I've received part of my order so it isn't like they've just disappeared with my money, and customer service responded on the next business day so that's nice. I'm just super frustrated that I won't receive my items within the needed timeframe despite explicitly picking a more expensive store with the items "in stock".

She said twice she would email us the chosen products but never got an email or follow up. Would not recommend coming here unless you're unable to do your own online shopping.

Primo was the third company we reached out to for estimates and we chose them off of good vibes and competitive prices. I'm grateful for it. These guys are solid, honest people and won't recommend things you don't need. In fact, if you have a wild idea for something that is unnecessary or costly, they'll tell you up front so you know in advance. In addition to doing things the right way, they're respectful. I've chatted with a few companies about various house projects and David and Jesse treated me (a woman) like my input matters just as much as my husband's. It signals competence, excellence, and professionalism when, even though I say "my husband is the boss," a contractor checks with me just in case. And, it prevents arguments down the road. We've rehired Primo for light fixture swaps, outlet adds, new switch fixtures, and we plan to hire them for our upcoming upgrades because they're all around good people who do good work. They had the best selection of Danish modern dining tables, all beautifully and lovingly restored. We were grateful to see their workshop as well. The attention and care they put into restoring every piece of furniture they sell is apparent. Jessy's knowledge of the furniture and willingness to share his expertise without being pretentious was very much appreciated. We ended up buying a beautiful expanding draw-leaf teak dining table by Skovmand & Andersen. We did see other tables, but this one was designed and built with the highest quality. We also bought a gorgeous Paul Laszlo designed chest of drawers from Brown Saltman in mahogany with maple drawers. We appreciated the excellent customer service and attention to detail from Jessy and his team. We feel like we have invested in functional art that will give us joy for many years to come.
