Did a great job finding us a new alarm fob for our 2006 Toyota Tundra! Great service!

Just came back from JP Locksmith, and the experience was good. Not only got my keys made but learned a little about the business too, because Joseph was nice enough to show me how/what he was doing. I had seen some quotes for his auto keys at $100 online, but they must have been old. I was surprised to be wrong, but the new price was still fair. Thank you, Joseph. read more

I recently lost the smart key for my Kia Sorento. On April 30th, the technician programmed a new smart key after carefully verifying my vehicle registration and PIN code. However, I soon realized that the lost key data was still programmed in the system. I went back to JP Locksmith on May 2nd, and for a small additional fee, the technician, completely wiped all previous key data and reprogrammed only the two smart keys I currently use. He even took the extra step to show me proof that only those two keys were registered in the system. He is an absolute professional, and I am very impressed with his expertise. I highly recommend JP Locksmith to anyone in need of a reliable and professional service!" read more

Needed a spare key fob for My Prius. 15 minutes and it was done with oem fob and blade key cut perfectly. Price was right too. Five stars! read more

I've had two car keys made at JP Locksmith over the past 10 years, and each time the work has been excellent at a very fair price. Skilled, efficient, and completely reliable. But what impressed me most goes beyond the work itself. The owner is a perfect example of what makes America great -- an immigrant who came here, worked incredibly hard, built a successful business, and whose love for his adopted country is nothing short of inspiring. He is, in every sense, a true American. Highly recommend. read more

A great alternative for getting duplicate key jobs. This is not inexpensive but still a much better value than having to purchase at the dealership. read more

Excellent service! Joseph made a perfect key copy for my 8+ year-old car and had it programmed in under 20 minutes. He even took the time to explain how key programming and cutting works. Super professional, fair prices, and really knows his craft. Highly recommend. read more

Got lucky on a Sunday as Joseph was available at the right time when I called, and was able to fix and also make a duplicate Toyota car key within 30 minutes! He took the time to explain the technology of the key and that it requires a special chip embedded in the key to start the engine. Learned something new everyday! read more

JP was very responsive and prompt. He told me it was going to be 250$ to fix my drivers side door lock. I came the next day to get it fixed, but then he had me call the Honda dealership to go get the part myself which was a 30 minute walk in total. The part cost me 50$. Then he charged me an extra 50$ for the "additional part" to be fixed when he was just doing the job that I asked him to do since the beginning. So I spent an extra 100$ that he was not upfront about from the beginning. If I had known it was 350 I would've gotten a second opinion. read more

Joesph is an honest and up front business owner. My wife's car got broken into and they damaged the driver side lock. I went to Kia and ordered a replacement lock / key set. Brought it to Joesph and he replaced it within 15 minutes for an extremely fair price. Highly recommend his business for anyone needing a lock or key replacement. He saved me so much money as the dealer wanted $140 just to install a lock that he did in 15 minutes. I also didn't need a new electronic key, but he has stock of almost all electronic keys for all car brands. read more

I recently had the pleasure of working with Joseph when my key fob for my 2018 Honda Fit stopped working. He went above and beyond to ensure that I left with two working fobs. From the moment I walked into his store he was professional and incredibly dedicated. He meticulously worked on my car testing different solutions until he successfully got my fob working again. He didn't stop there. Understanding the importance of having a back up he set me up with a 2nd fob. Ensuring both were synced to my car. His detail and commitment to customer satisfaction was truly impressive. If you are in need of a reliable automotive locksmith look no further than Joseph. Thank you for your great service. read more

They quoted me a very reasonable price ($10/each or $30/four) to copy my old car key onto a couple blanks I already had for it. When I got there, my old key was too worn out to copy, so they looked up the manufacturer's code and made me two factory keys for a very fair price (an extra $50. Note: I have a really old GM vehicle; don't expect your newer car to be that cheap). I had actually been having problems with my ignition lock cylinder being really wonky and having to wiggle it around a bunch to get it to turn. With these new keys, that problem has been completely solved. So they weren't just trying to talk me into a more expensive option, it was something my car actually needed. I wouldn't hesitate to come back in the future or recommend these guys to friends and family. Attached is a photo showing how completekyc read more

My ONLY key fob for my Mercedes was stolen. Had my car towed to the shop. Received a good deal on 2 new key fobs. Much better than going through dealership--faster service and less expensive. Owner made this frustrating experience less stressful. read more

Super happy with the service.... I needed a new car key and a battery for my old one. I couldn't get my car started when I was leaving a doctor's office because my battery is was dead. I called the dealership and they said I had to drop off my car 9:00 a.m. tomorrow and they would try and get it out the same day. leaving my car at the dealer for hours was not an option. while I was sitting in my car calling around to try and get help this older gentleman told me to go to here. I listen and went there. it was quick easy and much less than half the price of the dealer. the price was exactly what the older gentleman told me it would be and they were super nice. I liked it so much that I'm going to go there to get an extra key for our other car even though it's pretty far out of my way. I would totally recommend. read more

Joseph was really my hero! My key was freely spinning in my ignition and would not turn the car engine off. I was panicking trying to figure out what to do with a vehicle that I couldn't turn off. Many locksmiths I called were already closed or gave me bad advice (one person told me to let the gas run out). One helpful resource knew what the problem was but he thought it would be hard to get the car part. He said JP Automotive Locksmith was my best bet. I called Joseph at 6pm on a Friday night and he said he could help me. He waited for me for over an hour until I could get there. When I arrived he immediately started taking parts off under the steering wheel and safely turned the car off. The next day he drove all around LA locating the part I needed and had it finished quickly (and on the weekend!). He also replaced my key fob on the house. I will be taking all my repairs to Joseph in the future. He was so helpful and kind--and did a wonderful job quickly! read more

These guys are OUTSTANDING! They went out of their way to get the key working for my 2006 Mercedes/Dodge Sprinter. After literally all day calling locksmiths, these guys rose to the occasion. Literally a lifesaver, we lost our car key and we were stuck in a parking lot for hours, we called Joseph and he came to our rescue. Price is reasonable considering he drove to us, dealer would charge A LOT more. Thank you! read more

Lost my keys, Toyota dealership wanted to racket me, this guys made me two keys for a decent price... Full story : I thought the dealership were there to service their clients, I guess I was wrong ! They wanted to charge me $250 for the key AND $300 for programming it. Let's be real here, the cost of the key is probably $1 for the dealership that buy it in bulk. Let say $10 to be conservative. So they're making over $500 profit for a 30 min job ! The locksmith I'm sure have to pay more for the part and manage to charge half and make a comfortable living... I love Toyota but this leave me a sour taste ! Next car will be a Tesla :) read more

If I could give 100 stars to JP Automotive Locksmith, I would. I have a 1999 Jaguar XK8 and the key fobs were making driving me crazy!! I replaced the batteries in the fobs but that wasn't the problem. After many dead ends I decided to see JP for help, Even though Joseph was extremely busy, when it was my turn he asked me what he could do to help me. I told him my sad story and he asked me where my car was, we went to to my car and Joseph quickly figured out the driver's door actuator wasn't closing when trying to arm the alarm thereby by setting off the alarm!! I asked him how much I owed hm and said nothing!! I literally had to chase him down the street to gave what I had in my wallet!!! read more

Wow. I called to see if they could make a second key fob for my 2019 Kia Sorento and when I stopped over I can't believe how fast they did it! Ten minutes! And he even threw in a valet key for only 20 bucks more. I wish all auto service was this easy... read more

Just had a superstar experience with a superstar locksmith. Needless to say, Joseph knows he automotive stuff. He explained to me the two step process of setting up the transponder on the car key, of which I'm sadly to admit, I only knew one and thought there was only one. Progress not perfection I like to say. Either way, I got my new second key for my 2009 Honda Fit. Note to self: Don't do an inflatable obstacle course with car keys in pocket unless completely secure. I would highly recommend his services and Joseph as a nice guy. He saw that there was a little screw missing on my original car key "transponder" and made sure to give me another one. Those little extra things make this guy a winner. Plus super affordable!!! Inflatable 5K = $35. Lost key at inflatable run = priceless because I get to unexpectedly meet guys like Joseph. read more

When the other auto locksmith quotes you $350 to drill out your ignition (before any new code key charges!) and JP cures the problem with contact cleaner and WD-40, you know you've found an honest technician! JP also tuned up all the lock cylinders on my 17-year-old Jeep Wrangler for $50 and now they be 'slike butter! Good stuff! read more

Answers the phone very quickly, great customer service and great value. This is the only guy I'd use for key replacements in LA.

We bought our 2014 CRV used, and for whatever reason it only came with one key. "Not a big deal", I thought at the time. My wife would be the one driving it the most, while I drove our older Fit to work. Fast forward through a couple of years of "Not a big deal" and I'm going to drop my son off at school and then take to CRV to the shop for an oil change while my wife takes our daughter to a doctor's appointment in the Fit. Out of force of habit she grabs her keychain, which also has a spare Fit key on it, and off they go. Leaving my son and me with a CRV but no way to start it. Needless to say, it was time get a second key. I called JP Automotive Locksmith, and a few hours later I was standing in their doorway handing over the CRV key so they could make a copy. Less than 30 minutes later I was unlocking the CRV with a new key fob which I then used to start the car and drive it home. They were friendly, worked quickly, and got the job done, saving me from future frustrations. I highly recommend their work. read more

I showed up unannounced with my van's driver side door's key unable to interact/activate the locking/unlocking mechanism. Joseph looked at it and said it might cost $80 to fix if we had to take off the whole custom-conversion'd door apparatus. Well, we tried, but couldn't get the dang thing off. Then, instead, he managed to quickly reattach the latching mechanism through the little peep hole in the side of the door and charged me $30! I am extremely happy and should have tipped him but didn't have extra cash with me at the time! Thank you!!! read more
