Life happens. (We all COULD substitute another word for the word "life"... but you get the gist :) And it always seems to happen at the worst possible moment (as if you could schedule mishaps!!) I have recommended people to AMP before since my building has several owners who occasionally get locked out, but I've never once needed to reach out myself personally. Andrew, who is the manager, answered immediately, and then immediately got one of his two top locksmiths out within half an hour - this was after two other Locksmiths who boast excellent response time - Guardian Angel locksmith and FLAMMS Locksmith both in Sherman Oaks - refused and said that they were completely tied up... So much for compassion and loyalty. I got lucky and ended up with NICK who (despite me having a higher end lock that requires more effort than the usual), immediately opened it within two minutes. I know from experience that different locks can take upwards of an hour to crack depending on how complex they're created. I cannot say enough amazing things about this company, the price point was lower than Guardian Angel and FLAMMS, they were communicative, compassionate, and got the job done immediately. (And then... Pray that you get NICK!!) MUST CALL! read more

AMP Locksmith - Keys & Locksmiths Near Me

Leo was great! He fixed ignition switch problem with a 2004 vehicle. Not many locksmiths work on vehicles ignition so I'm glad I found this place. I called their place, explained my issue and they had a technician call me back to confirm type of work I was looking for and technician gave me a quote. Since I had called around this was by far the most fair quote. Technician came by during window promised and completed Job within the hour! Highly recommend. read more

This locksmith answered quickly and was able to easily unlock the door when he arrived at around 11pm. I do think they overcharged at $200 to unlock the door. Other than that it was easy fast service read more

Although I found my keys before he came out, the man gave a fair price and good timeline. Would recommend.

Everything was done satisfactorily, and I honestly think this fob is better than the one provided by the dealer.

He was responsive and was able to get my car unlocked quickly, but the charge was ridiculous. He said he was charging me $120 for unlocking the car and $180 for labor. What was the labor other than unlocking the car? And he was there for like 10 minutes. How does he justify charging $180 for labor? I complained, and he knocked $50 off, but it was still ridiculous. I had lower quotes from others but responded to the wrong one by mistake. I won't do that again. read more

Quick , precise service at a fair price. Owen arrived 1hour after we called. He gave us options and prices to replace a lock combo. Installed in 30 minutes at a competitive price. Nice job ! read more

Based on the positive reviews on Yelp, I decided to give AMP a call to get a quote on getting my house's locks rekeyed. The rep was friendly and said someone could come by the next day and give a free quote. The locksmith guy arrived and after looking at my locks, gave what I felt was a very high quote ($350 for 4 locks rekeyed). When I mentioned this, he offered to *upsell* me and replace the locks instead for only $100 more. I wasn't interested in this either, and when I asked him how much it would cost if I purchased the locks myself and just paid for his labor, he refused to tell me. I thanked him for coming and said I would be in touch if I wanted to go with him. If it would have ended there, I wouldn't have written this review, but he came back 5 minutes later, determined to get me to go with his services. Suddenly he was able to come down in price more, but it was still much higher than I felt was fair. He eventually reached my highest price but said "I'm not making any money on this, so you'll need to add a tip." This didn't sit well with me, and when I still seemed reluctant, he casually mentioned that if I didn't go with him, he may have to charge me a $40 service fee for the visit. This was *never* something that was mentioned when I made the appointment and I angrily pointed this out to him, saying I didn't appreciate being threatened this way. He backed off, and later seemed surprised that I didn't want to go with him after this. Before posting this review, I decided to call the company and eventually spoke with the manager, who apologized for the technician's behavior and promised this technician would receive re-training to make sure this didn't happen again. For his forthrightness, this review is 2 stars instead of 1. I admit that my experience is probably not the usual one most people experience with AMP (based on their feedback) but feel it's important for people to be aware of my experience when considering their service. read more

Got locked out on a Friday night after 10pm. I called so many locksmiths and this was the only one that answered. The person came within 15-30 minutes, and got the door open within an hour and a half. I feel great about my experience as this business seems very reliable. read more

I called a few other locksmiths before Amp. Amp was the only one that answered quickly on a Saturday morning. The gentleman man quickly to unlocked the bathroom door. read more

Amir was very prompt when I requested a quote. He was then able to get to my house in less than 30mins and had the job done in less than 10 mins. He charged me $10 less than the quote price too. DEFINITELY REFER! He's very nice, wore a mask and got the job done! Message him now!!! read more

Leo saved the day! I was locked out of my safe and tried 3 other locksmiths whose only suggestion was to drill into the safe (which would destroy it.) within minutes, Leo patiently walked me through a solution to reset and save my safe. Thanks, Leo! Appreciate you! read more

I was having issues with my front door. Reached out to amp and they were very prompt in trying to help me on a Saturday and showed up within 30 minutes. The issue is that my luck wasn't fixed if anything it was left in worst condition - I couldn't lock fun the front only the inside? Not only that he didn't even offer to help me figure out where to buy this lock or how to fix? Just charged me a lot of money for replacing the face plate on my lock. If you're not specialized in mortise lock say that don't try and fix and then gouge for money. read more

I lost my mailbox key and hadn't checked my mail in two weeks so I thought it was finally time to address the issue. I tried drilling through the lock myself because #me and I broke off two skinny drill bits inside the lock. Gah! So I found AMP on Yelp and called and spoke to Amir. He happened to be in the neighborhood and was able to get to me in about half hour from when I called. I got a phone estimate for $65 which is the minimum labor charge. When he arrived he got the lock off in about 5 minutes! I asked if I could use the Yelp $10 for $20 offer and he said he really shouldn't use it on the minimum charge but since it wasn't specified he would honor it. So it cost me $55 and Amir was quick and didn't damage the mailbox at all. Highly recommend this locksmith and I'd use them again though hopefully I will not lose my keys again!! read more

Thank you, Amir! Amir provided fantastic and quick service. I needed a mailbox to be opened and rekeyed. Took 15 min. Cheap price off all the options. Recommend to all. read more

Amir is great! I've called him 3 times. Twice to rekey my business and once for repairing an old lock. He shows up when he says he will. Usually same day or next day. He knows what he's doing and his prices blow the others away. I had another lock smith quote me $350, Amir did it for $100. After that I knew he was honest and was trying to earn my business. read more

Very competitive pricing. They had no problem getting back to me very quickly. I would advise my family to them.

Luke at AMP Locksmith was great at communication and easy to schedule with. We scheduled for a day or two out but then he contacted me and said his locksmith was available that day, so we got our front door rekeyed and a new lock for our front gate within a matter of hours! Quick service, great locksmith who was friendly and helpful - both he and Luke did not recommend anything more than I needed and I felt that I really got tremendous value for the quality and speediness of the work. Would absolutely use them again. Highly recommend. read more

We needed some locks rekeyed and AMP's manager was super professional and helpful. Laid out what the normal non-emergency timeline was and took notes of what was required. Nick (via Kardo Lock and Security) came out neatly within his scheduled window and took care of the locks requested. He was super honest about what locks needed to be done (like the house and garage doors) and which could be left alone due to a replacement mechanism being very expensive, like the gate. Saved us some cash there, and we appreciate it. read more

I am so appreciative of Amir! I needed to change locks for a safety issue and on Saturday early evening I called, and within 30 minutes he was at my home, he made a special trip himself, I expected him to send someone as he was busy. I am so glad to have checked Yelp and read the many 5 star reviews he definitely deserves. Amir is considerate, caring, friendly and professional. All of my locks were re-keyed in a matter of minutes. He did not try to up-sell, he did just what I ordered. He is absolutely the person to confidently call. Thank you Amir! read more

Fair prices and fast response as stated. Vouched! Called them on a Sunday afternoon to re-key our car after keys were left in trunk, with no other way to open trunk from inside the car, and they arrived in 30 minutes as we were told. Call them. You won't be disappointed! read more

I needed a padlock cut off a gate. Amir was direct on the phone about the cost and got here in 20 minutes. The lock was off in another three minutes. Great, honest, fair service! read more

Was locked out of my place at 10:30pm and Amir was very responsive and arrived in 30 mins like he said he would. He was able to get me back into my place very quickly. The service was great and I would recommend this service to anyone who has locksmith needs. Thank you, Amir! read more

Moving into a new condo and had a last-minute idea to also get the locks changed while I was moving in some items. Called Amir and the service would cost the same whether I did it on a weekend or weekday, so we moved forward. Ten minutes later (he lived close by), Amir shows, re-keys my locks, provides me spare keys and is OUT. It was perfect, quick, he accepts credit cards, and I highly recommend this service. Amir for the Win! read more

Thank you Amir! Had waited on getting a key from someone who never had it lol Called up AMP Locksmith and had the lock removed within 30 minutes time Thank you so much read more

Promised to arrive within 20-30m and he showed up near right on the dot. Straight forward service. Here's the price. Are you ready? Yes? Off he goes. 30s later he had it open. This is why you have an alarm that calls the cops directly and you keep a 12g by your bed. ;) Fast and professional service. A true artist. Locksmiths seem to becoming a lost art with all the new digital internet-of-things locks. Great to see someone work their magic so effectively. **UPDATE** Had them install a new deadbolt and door lock. Quick, and clean. Made the effort to make it work smoothly. Also, last minute I asked them to install a new door handle/lock for my downstairs bathroom. They provided a door handle that matched my front door and for a GREAT price. Very cool. I love that they care about their work. They make all the "little big things" efforts that separate them from others. read more

Could not get a price quote from them via phone, even with all needed information.

***This will be my go to company from here on out if I ever find myself in a similar situation. Fast, reasonable, and great service. If you are in a bind these are your guys! *** You know that moment where you get a new door knob? You've installed it correctly, the lock works, and you're feeling pretty good about yourself. There's an extra key in the package (you know you won't ever need it) and so it stays right there, in the package... 6 months later you're headed out the door, on your way to class, when you realize that you've done it...you've locked your keys in that room. After googling "how to pick a lock," and failing miserably, I called AMP and spoke with Amir. He quoted me a very reasonable price, was at my door within 15minutes and done within the hour. On his way out I asked for his opinion on how to rekey our front gate's failed lock (a project that had been long over due). He took a look at it, and told me he could fix it - which he did. I was expecting him to charge me at least extra 10-15bucks, and when I asked, he said not to worry about it. As a college student on a budget, known to procrastinate, this helped me out big time, dude! You made a crappy life moment a helluva lot easier. Thanks again! read more

Ron came and opened our door after we stupidly locked ourselves out of our apartment! It took him literally less than 5 minutes to unlock our door for us. Superb service. It took them less than ten minutes to arrive, and the door was opened in less than a minute.

Fast, friendly, and efficient! I called Amir to see if he was available because I locked myself out of my condo. He was able to meet me in less than 30 mins. Once he arrived he was friendly and helped me get back in to my place. It only took about 10 mins total. Hopefully I don't lock myself out again but if I do I would definitely call him again. read more
