They come directly to you, which made the process incredibly convenient. I probably could have scheduled the service the same day, but I chose to book it for the following day. On the day of the appointment, the technician, Paul, was gracious, kind, and actually arrived before I did. He even told me to take my time getting there. He was friendly, professional, and took the time to show me the old battery, explaining the signs that indicated how old it was and why it had been causing problems. He also discussed options for getting an extra key fob in the future and provided me with pricing information so I could have a backup made when I'm ready. Fast, friendly, and professional service -- I couldn't be happier. Later that same night, I went to dinner with a friend who mentioned needing an extra key fob as well. I immediately forwarded Key Masters' Yelp profile to her. I've already recommended them to someone else, and I'll definitely continue recommending them in the future.

They were one of five companies who bid to provide me with a replacement key FOB, as well as program it, for my 2022 Toyota Prius. They were professional and responsive to all of my questions, and they helped to put my mind at ease in choosing them for my project. Once I decided to move forward with the project, I was able to schedule it the same day, and they even came to my job. Shout out to Paul the technician who came to do my project. He was pleasant, respectful, and knowledgeable. He explained the process to me and a job that was initially quoted as requiring 30 minutes only took 15 to complete. I choose Keymaster LA, not only because of their customer service but because their price for: -an OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) replacement key FOB -programming -1 year warranty was much cheaper than the dealer wanted to charge. Last but certainly not least shout out to Keymasters LA because not only do they take credit cards but they also do tap and pay. I would highly recommend them to anyone who needs to replace and/or program a car key FOB.

So much for compassion and loyalty. I got lucky and ended up with NICK who (despite me having a higher end lock that requires more effort than the usual), immediately opened it within two minutes. I know from experience that different locks can take upwards of an hour to crack depending on how complex they're created. I cannot say enough amazing things about this company, the price point was lower than Guardian Angel and FLAMMS, they were communicative, compassionate, and got the job done immediately. (And then... He also said he'd let me know once I got there if my type of lock would cost more. That part was solid! He arrived quickly and began. But he never asked me whether my door handle still pulls down on the inside to open the door (it doesn't). After watching him struggle to try and pull the handle using a metal contraption that slid under the door, it became obvious that he made an assumption that needed feedback. I also texted the building maintenance person to explain what Mike was trying to do. He offered feedback that finally got him on the right track. Yay! He used balloon devices near the latch to pop the door open... right into the wall, which left a dent (ouch... I guess holding the handle wasn't possible. Fine). Mike walks out to get his receipt book. He attempts to charge me over $200 without ever mentioning pricing along the way as a heads up. When I mention the scratch marks I now have to clean and the wall I have to patch up from the door popping into it, the price lowers to just over $150. I paid it, but I wasn't happy that I called at 11:30, he got here by 11:45, and didn't finish until 12:30 after spending so much time trying to pull down a handle that's not meant to budge when locked.

Called City One and spoke to Mike (the boss man) because I had to re-key the locks of my recently purchased home. I since we hadn't moved in yet and I was not close by I asked if I was able to set up my appointment when I was going to be at the house for several other appointments on the same day to make it easier for myself. Mike said no problem and then asked if I could confirm my phone with him via text. I love via Text and wish I could set up all things that way! Anyway, day of the appointment...Mike reached back out via the phone to make sure I going to be at the house for our appointment which was a nice personal touch you usually don't get. I was on my way there and expecting one of his techs but was surprised to learn that indeed the boss man Mike himself was coming to meet me. Honestly from the first moment Mike and I spoke he was great! And I can't tell you all enough how helpful and patient he was as we walked through the house figuring out exactly how many locks I had to re-key. It also turned out that one of my door locks was broken so he said he could replace it which was wonderful that he had everything right there to fix it. Instead of telling me he had to order it and then let it stay broken until the part arrived and he then had to come back. Anyway, working at a steady speed Mike really took his time to make sure everything was done correctly and easy for me to understand due to the many locks/keys. He even found me a key for my garage lock which was a random lock that I wasn't left a key for at all by the previous owner. Just amazing...the whole experience was wonderful, easy and will totally use him again if I need a locksmith as well as recommend Mike and City One locksmith to anyone who asks. Locked my wife and I out of our house on a Sunday and checked yelp for a locksmith. Found that great reviews for City One so I called and spoke to Mike. Said he would be there in 20 minutes, made it in 15, which we were very grateful for considering how hot it was . Asked how much it would be to unlock the door over the phone and got a reasonable estimate. Turns out we couldn't pick the lock as it was a smart key system so he had to drill it out. Mike informed us that it usually costs a bit more to do this but he would honor the original price he gave us over the phone. Awesome!! Called him a week later to install a smart lock for us, again showed up early which is always much appreciated! He taught us how to use it and made us 2 extra keys (it only came with one) at no extra charge! He was very nice and very knowledgeable. I had my pocket picked at Home Depot. I had a spare key in my wallet. I called my usual locksmith, who was unavailable. He recommended Mike, saying "He's really good." I called City One, made an appointment for the next morning at 9 to rekey all of my locks. Mike was right on time, looked at the scope of the job and got to work. I will never use any other locksmith. Three other locksmiths couldn't (wouldn't?) help me when my front door lock broke inside the mechanism, leaving me unable to open it from either inside or outside. This is not your ordinary lock, but a complicated, high security lock that no other locksmith seemed to want to touch. Then I called Mike. He came immediately, wrestled the door open without leaving a mark, wrestled the entire lock out of the door, took it for repair, and returned and replaced it all within a matter of just a few hours. Here's a tip: If your exterior door doorknob is old and not behaving properly, change the doorknob before it comes apart and not only can you not get in, you can't get out, either. Literally, the doorknob came off and key pieces inside were disintegrated. We were able to find a screwdriver to remove the components so we could at least open the door. I called City One, and Mike came over within a very reasonable time, installed a new doorknob, re-keyed it to match it to the deadbolt, and provided me with the number of keys we needed. He asked questions while we were on the phone prior to meeting me, then arrived promptly at our appointed meeting time, and performed the rekeying work in a clean, expeditious, and professional manner. I questioned his price and talked to his "boss". Once the actual locksmith I hired arrived, the boss got extremely verbally aggressive and caused a big commotion. At the end of this ordeal, this company had me believe he was with the locksmith company that I actually hired, his boss got extremely rude and hostile after I said I no longer needed the service. And tried to charged an outrageous price for unlocking a door.

Not only that, but he walked away without installing the wall plate -- just left a hole in the wall. He said it wasn't necessary and missing in the Amazon box, but we checked and it was right on top in the box. He pressured and we paid but now we feel scammed. Avoid them at all costs. I suspect the positive reviews here are fake.
