He also recommended cutting the locks since he couldn't make replacement keys, which means I will have to purchase some new bike locks again soon. Regardless, grateful for Jin to provide evening and weekend services! Misleading Pricing, Inflated Quotes, and Property Damage: Avoid This Locksmith at any cost…read more We chose this company because they were listed as Yelp Guaranteed, and we trusted that this designation meant the business had been vetted and was reliable. Unfortunately, our experience was the complete opposite. Antonio initially provided a price range of $55-$120. Before booking, I spoke with Antonio directly and confirmed multiple times that $120 was the absolute maximum we would pay. I also asked what would determine whether the service was $55 versus $120. Antonio explained that using a tool to unlock the door from underneath would be on the lower end, while picking the lock would cost more. After the service, Antonio denied ever providing this information. We were told a technician would arrive within 20 minutes. Instead, we waited outside for over an hour while repeatedly being told the technician was "5 minutes away" despite continued delays for over an hour. When technician David arrived, he claimed our lock was a "commercial lock" and immediately quoted us $480, despite the maximum price we had confirmed with Antonio. When we asked why it was so much higher, he refused to explain. When we said we would call another locksmith, the price suddenly dropped multiple times: from $480 to $350, then $300, and finally $200. The fact that the price changed so dramatically simply by pushing back raised serious concerns about the legitimacy of the original quote. David ultimately unlocked the door using a simple long-reach tool under the door, not any complex lock-picking process and not anything to do with the "commercial lock" he was claiming, and left black marks and damage on the wall next to the door. When I contacted Antonio afterward about the issue, he initially claimed we had contacted the wrong company and asked us to call him. However, once on the phone, he immediately knew who we were and began discussing our complaint, contradicting his earlier statement. We are currently working with Yelp Guarantee to request a refund and reimbursement for the property damage caused during this service. Do not hire this company especially based on their lower end quote - there are many other companies that provided flat fees. If you've hired this company for whatever reason: 1. **Do not be afraid to say you will call someone else.** The price dropped significantly the second we pushed back. 2. **Get all pricing details in writing.** We confirmed the maximum price and pricing factors beforehand, but those statements were later denied. 3. **Pay by credit card if possible.** This gives you options if the service does not match what was represented.

But having seen him work on other people's shoes and seeing all the equipment he had indicated to me that he was an experienced cobbler. And I am glad I came to him. My dad lost the key to his 2024 Kia EV6 and the situation was extremely stressful because the car would not start. We called around to so many places and the prices were unbelievably high, especially with needing a replacement key and programming. Not only was B&O Locksmith Services the best price we found, but they were also the kindest and most helpful throughout the entire process. Communication was excellent from beginning to end. I rarely take the time to write reviews at all, good or bad, but I must say I was impressed by Oren's professionalism. I work as a personal assistant and house manager for a high-profile Hollywood family and although I tend to hire the services of independent contractors and small family businesses I'll admit they sometimes lack organizational and/or social skills. Oren came to rescue (after many others bailed) to duplicate the set of keys of my boss' fancy vintage Shelby 1960's muscle car. He had to come to the property 2 days in a row and he went out of his way to outsource the correct key models. Oren was at my condo complex working on someone elses unit and then he had time to work on my place. I know from experience that different locks can take upwards of an hour to crack depending on how complex they're created. At the end of this ordeal, this company had me believe he was with the locksmith company that I actually hired, his boss got extremely rude and hostile after I said I no longer needed the service. And tried to charged an outrageous price for unlocking a door.

Upfront he said the deadbolt was $275 (which is crazy high but OK) and the labor "about $250". We said ok. He then finished in 45 minutes, and gave us a bill for $1250!!! Not only that, but he walked away without installing the wall plate -- just left a hole in the wall. He said it wasn't necessary and missing in the Amazon box, but we checked and it was right on top in the box. He pressured and we paid but now we feel scammed. Avoid them at all costs. I suspect the positive reviews here are fake.

Got locked out of my apartment at 2:00am after leaving my keys in an uber. They were at my place…read morewithin 20 minutes, and the guy that came was super friendly. He spent a good amount of time picking the lock, and said he'd do anything he could to avoid drilling the lock. It took a little while because my lock is very old, but he was able to get in! I think it was about $170... I'm not sure what the going rate for a locksmith is but I think that's fair for him to drive 20 minutes at 2:00 in the morning.

My door lock, Schlage cist $109. He charged me to replace the deadbolt & door nob. In addition he drilled a hole in the door frame in my entry door from the garage to the house. The cost was $600 which the was outrageous! I made the decision fir him to do the work because I had been discharged from the hospital on June 6th, 2025 & would be doing Physical Therapy at hone with home Healthcare. H did the work on 6/15/2025, not my preferred day. I ma able to get up and down the stoes * able to move about the house now. I visually checked his work at the garage entry door and found he only drilled a hole in the door from without installing a strike plate for the deadbolt. So I called several times and left messages with no return calls. In addition, I am elderly & disabled! At thus point I just want my money back and he can have his deadbolt & doorknob back.
