I have recommended people to AMP before since my building has several owners who occasionally get locked out, but I've never once needed to reach out myself personally. Andrew, who is the manager, answered immediately, and then immediately got one of his two top locksmiths out within half an hour - this was after two other Locksmiths who boast excellent response time - Guardian Angel locksmith and FLAMMS Locksmith both in Sherman Oaks - refused and said that they were completely tied up... So much for compassion and loyalty. I got lucky and ended up with NICK who (despite me having a higher end lock that requires more effort than the usual), immediately opened it within two minutes. I know from experience that different locks can take upwards of an hour to crack depending on how complex they're created. I cannot say enough amazing things about this company, the price point was lower than Guardian Angel and FLAMMS, they were communicative, compassionate, and got the job done immediately. (And then... Pray that you get NICK!!) MUST CALL!

Mike responded to my messages right away, answered all of my questions, and scheduled service promptly. Steve, the locksmith Mike sent, was excellent. He was professional, kind, patient, and easy to work with. My door had an unusual lock setup with multiple deadbolts and a handleset that had been installed years ago, and Steve handled everything with confidence and skill. He never made the job seem complicated - he simply got to work, completed the installation neatly and efficiently, and had everything finished much faster than I expected. The workmanship was excellent, the price was fair, and I now have the peace of mind of knowing my home is secure again. I especially appreciated that they provided a key code card, making it easy to have additional keys made in the future if I ever need them. Mike was responsive, honest, and a pleasure to work with from beginning to end, and Steve represented the company exceptionally well. If you're looking for a reliable, professional locksmith for lock replacement, rekeying, or home security, I wouldn't hesitate to recommend City One Locksmith. Five stars all the way!

After he opened the door, he told us it was $380. It took him maybe 3 minutes in total to open the door. I know it's a weekend and you are paying for convenience, but 400 bucks is insane. We settled on $260 which still felt high, but we were left with no option since the door was already open. It definitely was a bit uncomfortable. They were fine and I am pleased with the result, but wouldn't recommend because of the price and awkwardness of paying for something that has already happened.

He also said he'd let me know once I got there if my type of lock would cost more. That part was solid! He arrived quickly and began. But he never asked me whether my door handle still pulls down on the inside to open the door (it doesn't). After watching him struggle to try and pull the handle using a metal contraption that slid under the door, it became obvious that he made an assumption that needed feedback. I also texted the building maintenance person to explain what Mike was trying to do. He offered feedback that finally got him on the right track. Yay! He used balloon devices near the latch to pop the door open... right into the wall, which left a dent (ouch... I guess holding the handle wasn't possible. Fine). Mike walks out to get his receipt book. He attempts to charge me over $200 without ever mentioning pricing along the way as a heads up. When I mention the scratch marks I now have to clean and the wall I have to patch up from the door popping into it, the price lowers to just over $150. I paid it, but I wasn't happy that I called at 11:30, he got here by 11:45, and didn't finish until 12:30 after spending so much time trying to pull down a handle that's not meant to budge when locked.
